Grandma had a special love of sharing her Sandcastle with everyone. We can't tell you how many honeymoons took place in her Sandcastle. Her family and friends enjoyed over 28 years vacationing here on Thomas Drive. We have a library of guestbooks, with many wonderful times shared by all. Grandma especially loved the beach. She is much remembered for the special messages and prayers she wrote in the sand for all of us that were washed away into the universe. Her most memorable message in the sand was "Thank You God for Everything". Our family continued making special beach memories into the third generation of our family. Our favorite event was a final night Luau, including grass skirts, leis, music and dancing on the beach as our farewell until the next visit. As with all things, unexpected changes occur. In 2007, we lost our treasured Sandcastle. In July 2011, grandma made her last trip to Panama City Beach with her youngest grandchild (4th Generation). In February 2012, we lost Grandma. Leaving a special gift to her three grandchildren, it was unanimously decided that the best tribute to Grandma would be to purchase a new Sandcastle. In 2018, tragedy struck us in the form of Hurricane Michael. The roof was torn off Our Sandcastle and after undergoing a 6 month renovation we're so excited to introduce Our Sandcastle 2.0!
So, here we are. We begin another new chapter of "Our Sandcastle". Our greatest hope is that we can bring as much happiness to our visiting guests here as grandma did in her Sandcastle for so many years. We hope you join us!
