Late September 11630 Tompkins Point Road

Very nice house, that was comfortable for 5 adults. Location is great & we lucked out with great weather. Very relaxing. Owner would benefit in cutting tree hanging over deck. It is messy & is causing damage to the house & deck. Garage could use a good cleaning. We expected to use kayaks shown, but that was out. Lucky that we brought some. A little extra paper goods would have been nice. The dishwasher powered up but never worked. Love the area live the house. Needs some TLC. great place to be!!!!

You cant control the weather

We stayed for a week in mid August and the weather was not great. A big cold front came.through and it rained for 4.5 of the 7 days. But the house was so nice and comfortable we were able to stay indoors and keep our selves entertained by playing cards and games. We also played the video game in the garage (where i had hi score of our group). Thanks for the comfortable accommodations.

Loved our week here!

This house was very comfortable and met all expectations. It was nicely appointed. We had everything we needed - kitchen utensils and accessories, towels, linens, and everything to enjoy the lake. We rented kayaks for the week from Fair Haven Kayak. Great time!

Lovely Waterfront home

Besides being a lovely VRBO to stay in, lots of signs that the owner spends time or there or treats it like they do. Nice décor and furnishings, a touch dated but so nice and in such good shape I don't think if I'd change any of it if it were mine. I really use the waterfront access for kayaking and paddle boarding, just park it all by the water and jump in once or twice a day The house is in the shade so on the first few very hot days, house was cool as a cucumber, but the sun is right at the end of the driveway and by the waterfront and dock. AEvolve team was spot on and responded instantly at 10 at night to my TV questions! We are again thinking about next year

Hidden Gem close to home.

We stayed for a week with our family and had a great time. The house was clean, spacious, cozy and beautiful Great view of the lake. Kids had plenty of things to stayed entertained. The area was very quite and relaxing. We were able to dock our boat for a quick acces to the lake.

Great place. Right on the bay. Access to lake Ontario for salmon fishing.

Great time with the family. But a lot of fishing in the bay when the waves were too high to go out on the big lake. Absolutely will do it again

Great Location

Booked this trip with 6 of my friends to get a way for a long weekend. When we pulled up to the house we were blown away with the view of the bay. The wraparound porch is a huge plus and a great place to drink your coffee in the AM. The house house was clean and comfortable, good open floor concept on the first floor. The ping pong table was a nice touch to keep 7 guys in there early 30s busy. We brought our own kayaks down and we’re able to launch them right across the street. Very convenient. The location of the fire pit was impressive as well, right on the bay. It was so peaceful and relaxing. CON: Not much! We did discover a leak from the upstairs shower down to the kitchen which we notified the homeowner about. The upstairs shower could use an updated shower head as well (it was in rough shape and low pressure). The house had pretty much everything we could need. I would add just a Bluetooth speaker for music as ours died a couple times during the stay. Overall 5 stars and we would definitely stay there again! Mike

Cozy Family Getaway

We spent 4 days at this Wolcott cabin and it was a lovely trip for our family. The location is amazing, especially because we brought two boats that we were able to take out onto the bay and lake. The dock had plenty of room to accommodate both boats with room to spare. We spent a lot of time around the fire pit right by the water which was perfect for the chilly weather we had on our trip. We did lots of fishing from the dock, but didn't have any luck. The cabin was very cozy as well and we played some of the board games they had available for guests. We also loved using the ping pong table. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely

We had a wonderful time at this lake house, if you own a boat then it makes the stay even more perfect which we did not. The house is very well maintained and equipped and has pretty much everything you would need. We were two families, 4 adults and 4 kids and the loft was definitely helpful since 4 kids would not have fit in the 3rd bedroom. We loved hanging out by the lake and the deck. The only drawback was the lake has lots of seaweed and plants and was not good for swimming right off the dock. The local contacts did provide us a spot close by that was good for swimming. All in all a great stay and we wish we can return there again.

Stayed for a week.

We spend a week a at this property, it was nice. It is a 18 minute drive to Fair Haven beach and a 30 minute drive to Sodus Point Beach. We swam off the dock at the cottage several times and fished Walcott is a small town about 10 minutes away. It is cute and has a nice little grocery store. Pete's pizzaa is good!

Amazing location and view

The house is great for a 2 family vacation.. we stayed here for the view and visited both Thousands islands and Niagara falls from here. We lived the stay here.

Beautiful Area

Beautiful home in quiet area on bay. We planned on renting a boat, due to high water levels the dock was under water. I received an email from Evolve, the property manager, a few days before our departure. I did not hear from or speak to property owner. I received an email from Evolve with a name of my contact, to email that person with any questions I had. I emailed on Tuesday morning before our stay with about 4 questions and by Wednesday night still had not heard back. I emailed Evolve telling them the situation, figuring I would have my questions answered by the Evolve manager, but no, he said he'd contact my contact person and tell her to contact me.. By Thursday afternoon I still had not heard. I emailed Evolve again telling him I thought they were very unprofessional. He said he would contact owner and tell him to contact me, I never heard a word. Anyway, I feel they were avoiding answering my questions. One included about renting a boat, which they obviously knew I couldn't , even though the write up says bring your boat and tie up to dock,another was about in house survailence. The boat/high water level was not their fault, that could not be controlled by owner. Not informing us and responding back to questios was his fault. We have used Home Away ever since it was established, yearly. I think it's great, but if I see Evolve listed as a property manager again,I will avoid and not rent that property. Over all our stay was good, wineries fantastic, small towns quaint. Many on water restaurants to chose from. Skippers on the bay was a favorite. If you like antiqueing, just know most only open on Saturday/Sunday, not during week so we missed out.

The property was amazing. The area was beautiful. The fees associated with the property manager Evolve were ridiculous. $850 in fees for 7 day stay. Lesson learned.

Bay house

We loved this house. It had great views of the bay. The kids loved swimming in the bay. It has excellent seating options on the expansive front deck. The house was very clean and pretty. The only issues we ran into were we had no cellphone reception (specific to our carrier). Other visitors had cellphone service. We also ran out of water the last night we were there. This was a bit of a challenge for a family of 7 as we couldn't do laundry or flush toilets. (There is water softener so make sure you bring drinking water as well.)

Outstanding

Lakehouse was perfect for weeklong fishing trip with my 85 yo dad and my 2 brothers. Location is beautiful and the lakehouse was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Special thanks to Brien for adding another extension to the dock which made it much more functional during this time of unusually high water. Dad caught 2 nice size largemouth bass right from the dock, would not have been possible without Brien's extra effort. Much appreciated, planning to return next year.

Just perfect

We very much loved the layout of this lake house. It is clean and comfortable. The owners provide a great "house guide" to help you locate all you need. We watched an eagle hang out in one of the trees at the dock, the GoodYear blimp flew over, we tubed off the dock, took out our kayaks, and meet a lot of good people in the town of Wolcott which was having an auto show. The local grocery there, Bobs, is large and well supplied with most anything you could want. Port Bay is beautiful, the neighbors were great and we hope to make it back for a longer stay.

Lovely Lake House

We stayed for the last week in August 2018, and enjoyed everything about it-comfy beds, great gas fireplace, and fire pit down by the water. The house is clean and well laid out for relaxing, and it's quiet at night for sleeping. The kitchen had everything needed for preparing meals, and of course we enjoyed sitting on the porch with our coffee each morning. Bob's is a nice grocery store in the town of Wolcott, (a five minute drive) for any last minute items you need.

Just like the pictures!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights with another couple. The guys had a great time fishing right off the dock each morning. Everything was clean and easy to find. As we were leaving the guys asked to book this place again sometime soon! Great place in the middle of nowhere but the closest groccery store was 30 min away.
