Great place!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful place to stay! Minutes bike ride to the beach and pool was right outside the back door. Yes, it could use some TLC but it was very clean and completely bug free. We also appreciated the pull out couch on the second level that was used as a makeshift third bedroom. It was perfect for our family, we will definitely stay here again!

Dirty and Dingy

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: have to be honest. We were in a pinch & looking for a good value. The place had 0 reviews, but we took a chance. Bad choice. This place is dingy and dirty. The walls, carpet & furniture are stained. We couldn’t sit on 2 LR chairs as the stains were disgusting. The blinds are full of dust The ducts are rusted & filled with dust. There were stains & hair on the LR pillows, and hair in the bathroom and in the shower drain. The powder room toilet whistled loudly for 30+ minutes after each flushing. The window screens gapped letting in bugs. Someone had taped the gaps and the tape was crumbling. I took pictures and would post them here if I could. Shame on William and Seashore Vacations for presenting this as a good value rental. Frankly, in its current deplorable condition, it should not be a rental at all. It was scuzzy and frightful. We weren’t looking for anything special—just a clean place at an economical price. All guests deserve a clean environment no matter the price.

Perfect family vacation

We throughly enjoyed our time at Ocean Gate Villas #9. We had a party of 6 and had plenty of room. The condo could use a fresh coat of paint & a deep clean but having the extra space was well worth any imperfections. The beach was within walking distance along a beautifully wooded trail. It was a little far for our 3 year old but no one else minded. We saw LOTS of marine life (jellyfish, stingrays, small sharks) which was super cool! This property is a great value for your money. Overall it was an awesome trip & we look forward to visiting again.

Great location

We had a great stay at this property. It was very nice having a pool on site and being so close to the beach. It was also nice being so close to Sea Pines and all of the attractions there. Everyone was helpful, check in was super easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location

Our whole family enjoyed the trip! My kids absolutely loved having their own bathroom! Plenty of space in the house to just hang out and a short walk to the beach. Also a pool if your not a fan of the ocean. If you don’t feel like swimming there is a basketball/tennis court right out the back door to use. Just a short drive and there is a ton of shops and restaurants. There is a couple groceries stores if your like my family and wanna cook instead of eating out, the house has all utensils and cookware needed. Great place and will definitely stay again when we return.

Great location, very quiet,pool was beautiful. Nice walk to beach, but the villa was dirty, there was a dead roach behind the chair in the living room, there were empty water bottles under the bed in the upstairs bed room. The walls are filthy, the couch and chairs are dirty and ripped. The fridge door and the table in the kitchen were sticky. The villa has great possibilities, but needs a paint job and new furniture.

Vacation

Nice and quiet area. The beach was also very nice and didn't have to fight to find a spot, I was pleasantly surprised for being during busy time. The pool was also very nice and warm.

Overall Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was an overall disappointing stay. I will start with my positive comments and then move on to why I was disappointed. Firstly, the property is in a good location. Short, easy walk to the beach. The layout of the property and the size of the property were great! The management folks were nice and very responsive when we needed help (which we did!) Those were the positives. Now for the hard truth....This place is in desperate need of a major update and cleaning!! It did not feel clean and it was not comfortable. It is advertised as able to sleep more more people than it can actually accomodate. The beds are fine (one Queen or King and two twins). So, there is room for FOUR people! The pull outs, the couches, and the chairs are terrible and need to be replaced! We arrived to find water pouring through the kitchen ceiling. The management folks came right over and then a plumber came later that night to fix the problem, however the place smelled mildew-y for the rest of our stay. I do not mean to some like a snob, but when I go on vacation I do not want to feel like I am roughing it. This place needs a major refresh! I would not return or recommend. There are many other nice rentals on the island.

Great Location.

Loved the area. The walk to the beach wasn’t bad at all. The only issue was the cleanliness of the condo. The floors were horrific. The bottoms of our socks and feet were brown from the floors. The window blinds had caked on dust Whoever is “cleaning” your place is not doing a very good job. But like I said... the location was wonderful.

Cissy spent every minute finding us a new place. This was in a very crowded market. I don't know how she did it, but she did. The place wasn't just some substitute, it was a very nice condo just steps from the beach. I would recommend her and her company to anyone that is coming to The Island.

Comfortable and convenient

The rental process was seamless. The condo is basic but very comfortable. The pool is great and right out the back door. Lovely deck. Beds were fabulous. Again, basic, but very perfect for a vacation getaway. Thank you for having us.

Not quite up to par but close!

Condo was nice, comfy, with all amenities and short path to beach. Only drawback was: trash out in pool area. 2 cans full when we arrived on Monday , called Rental office to inform them, they told me they would contact HOA about the problem. When we left on Thursday, trash/roaches still had not been picked up! I'm surprised no one else complained. HOA needs to do a better job of having garbage picked up.

Peaceful and fun

We had such a great time at this property. My daughter said she never wanted to leave. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and the cleanliness of the property. Thank you for allowing us to rent your place. We look forward to our next trip to Hilton Head.
