The Sunflower Cottage is only 5 cottages away from the 10,000 sq. ft. amenities building which is called 'The Treehouse' and has 2 outdoor pools (adult lap pool and kids splash pool), 2 hot tubs, kids craft room, exercise room & gym, library, lounge area, and movie theatre.
The property also has children's playgrounds, outdoor picnic tables, firepits, volleyball area, tennis courts, basketball court, and horseshoe pits as well. With so many activities to chose from, there is always something to keep you entertained at The Sunflower Cottage.

You will find the accommodations at the Sunflower Cottage to have all the features of home, including 2 window air conditioners, a vaulted ceiling in the kitchen/living room area, river rock gas fireplace,
5 appliances (side by side fridge with water and ice, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, and washer and dryer), 2 decks, outdoor furniture, picnic table, fire pit, and quick connect BBQ. The kitchen is fully loaded with all the equipment that you should need to create your culinary delights. In addition, the cottage also has wireless internet and cable for your added convenience. For the little people in your lives, we also have children's games and DVD's at the cottage as well.

All linens are provided. *Guests are asked to bring their own beach/pool towel and firewood.

The cottage sleeps 7 people comfortably.
A playpen and highchair are also available.

Perfect little spot for a family

The cottage is a wonderful place to stay if your looking for a vacation spot for a family. Tons to do and a nice quiet place to relax! Peter is great to communicate with and made us feel very welcome!

Wonderful getaway

Our family stayed for a week in Peter's beautiful cottage. We enjoyed the whole experience but most notably the lovely back porch at the cottage and the pool amenities on site. The weather was perfect which was helpful! Peter was available and very responsive to any questions we had and it is wonderful to have a nice getaway only 1 hour from the lower mainland. We'd certainly stay here again.

Wonderful place to spend with grandchildren

We spent two weeks in the sunflower cottage. Five of those days were with our three grandchildren who live in chilliwack. Treehouse amenities and pool were perfect!!! Cottage was the perfect size! Had a few outdoor fires making s’mores. Golfed at cultus golf course a few times. Loved it! So close to all sorts of stuff. Quiet area as well. Would highly recommend this beautiful cottage. Hosts were great!!!

Sunflower Cottage

We had a fabulous time. Loved the house, loved the pool. We had a hot, sunny week & spent hours in the pool (3’ deep). The sofa bed was not comfortable. Ended up using a mattress & couch cushions on the floor. The kitchen is roomy & very well stocked. Would love to go back again.

Great spot for a family retreat. The cottage has everything you need.

Great property, gated community so the kids can roam free. The cottage has great bedding so we really enjoyed our sleep. A/c in the house for those hot nights made it even more comfortable. We would rent from Peter and Caroline again they are great hosts and make sure you will enjoy your stay.

This is such a great place to stay. The hosts were professional right through. Excellent communication before the stay and very comfortable cottage. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants just unwind. We have stayed at this site before and this by far was one of the best cottages. Thank you Caroline and Peter.

Just like home!

Stay at Sunflower Cottage

We visited from England with our 3 children and cannot recommend Sunflower Cottage highly enough. It was everything and even more than we hoped for. Everything we could possibly need was provided to a very high quality. The interior is extremely tastefully decorated and well maintained. The location is beautiful and quiet yet very well appointed for different activities and visits to Vancouver. We enjoyed a visit to the Water Park, Fort Langley, Hell's Gate, White Rock, Coneheads and loads more. It was perfectly located for us to visit family in Chilliwack. We enjoyed meals and BBQ's on the lovely rear patio. The children especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the club house. Whilst we never actually met Peter and Caroline the owners, they were extremely helpful and ensured that we had everything we needed. All in all we had a fantastic stay and look forward to visiting again.

Holiday triumph

Our family had a remarkable 2015 vacation centered around the Sunflower Cottage in Cultus Lake. The gated Cottage community is absolutely spectacular especially when you walk around for the first time. The TreeHouse amenities are first class not to mention all the activities for the kids around Cultus Lake. We took advantage of literally everything: Waterpark, Adventure Park, Boat and Jet ski Rentals, Dinotown, Tap Ins, Driving Range and the Golf Course. It was a perfect vacation for our family. We loved the back deck and spent all of our relax time out there. Our hosts have the most wonderful Board Game collection and it was our 'go to' after dinner and a walk around the community. After posting a few pictures after the first couple days of our trip, we had so many people asking us about Cultus Lake and where we were staying. The mornings are ultra quiet and we always gauge our reviews on our ability to sleep in and relax, ha! The Sunflower cottage ranks as high a number as we can think of. I would recommend any family to follow in our footsteps and centre your vacation in Cultus Lake around the Sunflower Cottage. A lifetime of thanks to or gracious hosts!!

Great Family Holiday

Our stay at the Sunflower Cottage was a fabulous family vacation. Not only are the on-site amenities extraordinary, the homey feel of the cottage made this a great vacation for us to enjoy with our family and friends. The owners' attention to detail and little perks of the cottage made our stay outstanding; the air conditioning, the assortment of bikes to use, the cable and Wi-Fi as well as the huge assortment of games. I would definitely recommend this Cottage to anyone looking for a family friendly atmosphere to relax in. Thank you for making our visit perfect!

Quiet, relaxing retreat

Our stay at the cottage was just perfect. We were a group of Masters of Education students who needed a quiet retreat to write, think and relax. We spent our days and nights writing, laughing, more writing, more laughing and enjoying the peaceful environment. All amenities are right in the complex. We only wished we had taken the time for a swim and an evening campfire. The weather was not as cooperative as we had hoped. We highly recommend staying here. Our hosts were gracious, approachable and very kind. They made our stay just perfect!

I'm a teacher as well as an instructor at the Justice Institute of British Columbia. You will find when you arrive at the cottage, the busyness of the city life seems to melt away. Our kids love the cottage, as there is so much to do including, swimming, basketball, volleyball, tennis, biking, hiking etc. They are never bored at the cottage and we (as parents) have appreciated the added comfort of a secure and gated community.

The Sunflower Cottage offers a peaceful getaway for the busy urban family that needs to be refreshed and re-energized. Our 'Four Season Cottage' is nestled between the picturesque mountains in the prestigious development called “The Cottages at Cultus Lake.”

You will also love the fact that we have a fire pit on our back deck to enjoy the tranquil evenings in both the winter and the summer months.
