Comfortable Cabin
We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the cabin. The key is that they keep the cabin free of unnecessary items that would just collect dust. The wood is smooth and finished so dust does not collect. Bravo! The key was that it is pet friendly. There was no evidence of past pets damaging anything in the house. Our dogs loved the balconies, and unless you have a tiny dog, the railings are close enough together that they are safe (with supervision). All kitchen items were in working order. Bathrooms were fine. Getting there is a bit challenging. It is best to have a navigator with you in the front seat, and unless you are very comfortable with the area, arrive when there is still daylight. After a few times up and down the mountain however, you get to know your way. This was a nice experience for my family. Ober Gatlinburg is just a short drive away. Very convenient.

Incredible Experience!
The cabin was amazing! Not only was it clean and spacious, but well furnished. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The drive up the mountain to the cabin can be a little treacherous, but we’ll worth it!

Do NOT waste your money on this cabin!!!
Online this cabin is beautiful. It was messy, ran down and unsafe. I had to clean two dog accidents from the bottom level as soon as we arrived, our propane tank for gas grill was broken, Aunt Bug's refused to deliver us another one - we ended up buying a tank so we could grill - dish washer leaks THRU THE FLOOR onto the bottom level. Looked under the sink and it has old water damage from this leak and they have tried to hide!! Take your family and money elsewhere ... you'll thank me later!!!!!!

Honeymoon gone bad!!
So we chose Gatlinburg to get married instead of Vegas because we thought it would be nice to stay close to home, so we rented a cabin. Couldn’t check in until after 5pm had to check out by 10am on check out day. TV remote wouldn’t control the TV, so no TV the first night or second day, scratch in the TV, master bedroom door busted, pilot light turned off of gas logs, tears in the couch’s, hair in the shower, no chlorine in the hot tub, water was low and was told to add water ourselves and when we told them there was no hose told us to turn the breaker off. Front step was broken and we almost fell every time we left out. Did I mention we had contractors knock on our door because they had a order to cut trees down on the side of the house? No parking at all. Will NEVER stay here again!! Oh did I mention this was our honeymoon?!

Great getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was fantastic. House was clean, well furnishes. The view was spectacular. Follow the directions provided by management because Google maps will take you multiple ways up and down the mountain. Their directions were plain and simple and most direct. The drive up to the house is a bit unnerving after dark and especially in the rain with oncoming traffic, but we had the best tome and made it part of our adventure.

Satisfied
Loved the cabin! Will stay again. Only issue was with my friends. They took the upstairs master bedroom. They had to wash the entire bed linen. They were not clean and the bathroom floor was a little dirty. Other than that, nothings ever perfect, we enjoyed our stay, it was beautiful and fulfilling.

Looks Good From the Outside
The check in process was very simplified and nice. Cabin is very pretty from the outside and great views. This cabin was very unclean and did hinder our stay. The jacuzzi tub in the room starting spitting out flakes of gunk, the outside hot tub smelled and had specks of black goo. Showers have mold growing in them, we had to wash every dish due to remaining food particles left on them, and the comforter had a stain that looked like blood. Not sure it’s worth the price for the off season also not quite sure why we needed to pay the cleaning fee for such a dirty place to stay. We will not be renting again from Aunt Bugs.

Solid Review - Please Read
I read many previous reviews and some people can't be pleased, so sift through those reviews. House...Very well laid out. Plenty of room for our party of four adults. Great views ! Very close to Ober, so your high up. Also, very close to downtown Gatlinburg; probably just under10 min drive. Very convenient. Cleanliness...Please note you are renting a house in the woods, not a hotel room at Four Seasons. They have done a great job keeping property clean, but remember, you are in the woods. Drive To Chalet...This is very true from other posts. The drive is very steep and could be a frightening for someone not used to it, but just keep it slow and you will be fine. Bears...You will more than likely see bears. Always keep your car door locked and always take all food out of your car at all times. Recommendation... I highly recommend this property!!!!! Nelson

Mountain View
Check-in process was smooth with no issues. You're pretty high into the mountains a lot of Hills to climb. Experience first and counters with bears which was not bad. The only issue with the property was pull-out sofa downstairs with pool table is need a new mattress appears to have blood stains on it and there were rat droppings on the mattress as well other than that the Quinn in this over the cabin was excellent. Would rent this property again pending they get a new mattress for the sofa downstairs.

Bear family as neighbors. View was wonderful, bears an unexpected treat. Chalet was very nice.
Beautiful location after the steep climb. Very comfortable and close to many attractions. Hated to leave. Bears were an added attraction Mom and babies. Guests need to be reminded to keep their cars locked as they do the rounds looking for unlocked cars. Suggest a lock for the bin and lower lock for lower level game room door.(external)

Not the getaway my family expected
Process for booking and check-in were the best part of this experience. Property itself is in need of a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. My entire family question whether the property has been rented since the pandemic as it felt like no one had been in the property for along time. Dust and cobwebs everywhere. Showers and tile floors needed a good steamcleaning. Wood floors need refinished as they are scuffed and show major wear. Outside of property needs major power washing, repaint, etc. Flagstone steps going into property are broken and need to be fixed. You could see your footprints from walking across the Balconies. Had to call in two maintenance requests for cable and water leak from what we were told was the washer. I have never written a negative review before but I do not feel that anyone should pay the money we paid to have this experience.

Do your research before you book!
The pictures are not current, the cleaning is done only for major areas, but absolutely no sanitation of any kind! I have pictures of doors and handles, among other pictures. The Wi-Fi password was not accurate, reach out via text as instructed, and I did not receive a response, I also emailed when we made it to the cabin, again no response! I booked with vrbo, and selected the pets allowed option, and I received a call the day after my reservation stating it did not include pet fees? Okay not the worlds worst, but when I made it to the place, I really was uncomfortable, we slept on the couch! Long story short, I was not happy or comfortable with the environment, also make sure you know the drive up is narrow and steep, if that is a issue for for.

Don't recommend
We booked this cabin for a long weekend. Upon arrival the cleanliness of the cabin wasn't what you would have expected. The kitchen trash can which is small was left on a table with no bag in it, there was no hand soap in the bathroom on the main floor, and the coffee table had not been wiped off. The hot tub heat had not been turned on so it took an entire day for it to get heated. The downstairs heat went out, we called Aunt Bug's three times and finally at 7pm someone came out, he said that it couldn't be fixed and left. We called Aunt Bug's back and left a message and still have not received a phone call back. The ride up to the cabin is very step and very high up keep that in mind if traveling in the Winter. Overall when we go back we will not be renting this cabin or any other cabin hosted by Aunt Bug's.

Bears and stairs
We brought our two dogs to the property and would warn others that we seen bears every night by the garbage can. Loved seeing the wildlife, just a bit to close and personal. The lamp posts out front were very convenient for checking for bears prior to walking dogs. The decks and wood rocking chairs had chipped paint, we still sat on the deck and enjoyed the amazing view. There were a lot more stairs that I expected. The property could use a bit of deep cleaning. Overall, we enjoyed the cabin.

Christmas Vacation
The drive to the cabin is quite step, so be aware of that. If it snows, you definitely need a 4 x4 car to make it up on the mountain. The cabin itself its gorgeous, however the management should change the cleaning company ASAP. they probably just change the sheets and sweep after every stay, that's all; spider webs everywhere, dust everywhere, if you take a look underneath the beds you wont even want to sleep there anymore. also, there's no broom, mop, vacuum...nothing available so you could clean some stuff on your own. We had to go shopping for cleaning products. The owners should really think about putting some love into this cabin, it's a shame that they don't try at all to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. we do vacations rentals as well, we know how a house should be prepared for guests. Especially now with the Covid, I think cleanliness should be number 1 priority. We will definitely go back to Gatlinburg, but we will choose a different cabin for sure. Really unfortunate, especially with them having such a great view.
