We loved the location. Easy to get to down town. Some of the jets in hot tub did not work but it was hot and we did not let this ruin the vacation. Jacuzzi worked well but filled up slow. Again we were ok with this. The views from our frint porch were awsome. Would definitely stay here again
We had a very fun trip and overall a great getaway.

Decent
It had amenities listed, but a downside to each:Location - it is right by Rocky Top Sports, which was great since we had a football tournament there. But it’s not as close to strip as described (maybe 10 min drive; not bad). Hot tub - felt great but jets didn’t work so it was a literal “hot tub” not jacuzzi. Bath in room -Worked but took goid 40 mins fill up past jets. The jets worked on this though. Cleanliness - it was surface cleaned. However, could use good scrubbing (walls dirty, cobwebs). Fireplace - worked but only for short while before shutting off. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. But it’s like they built it in 80s/90s and just never maintenanced iit or updated it. And for that cleaning price tacked on, it needs it.
Only real complaint was that the indoor hot tub/jacuzzi didn't want to actually stay warm very well at all. It was a good cabin and served its purpose well
Very outdated. Was not clean. 3 inches of grease at the bottom of the grill at the base of the grill on the deck.Very dated and the bedspread had a bad smell to it

Very icy steps, and they wouldn't send anyone out to salt the steps. Both of us almost fell
Waiting to hear back from them to see if they will make it right
I will start this off by saying our only true complaints with the cabin. The map on VRBO shows that you will be right off the main road going into downtown which is why we went with this cabin in the first place, but that is not true. The listing says you are 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, that is also not true. This cabin is every bit of a 10-15 minute drive from downtown. Which isn't awful in the grand scheme of things, but when we booked this cabin we thought we could park the car and walk everywhere but that definitely wasn't the case so we had the extra charges of parking every time we wanted to leave the cabin.
The cabin itself was fine for what we needed.
We stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary and our first trip to Gatlinburg. Once we found our bearings, the location was excellent. Free trolley should be advertised more in the listing...we used it a bunch. Cozy place. We felt safe and comfortable.
Small home with rustic charm. Quiet neighborhood. Everything we needed to get away for a few days.

Awful
Extremely outdated. Misrepresented with photos online. Taking advantage of tourists by charging same price as much nicer ones. We have stayed in cabins for over 20 years now and this was by far the worst
Great setup for my wife and myself. The open floor plan was great and cozy. It was a great retreat for a weekend getaway. The location was convenient to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the National park. Hosts were very responsive to any questions and requests we had during our stay.
The only problem was with operating the tv and navigating the set up. Perhaps an instruction sheet of some kind might be helpful.
Other than that. A great little place.

Highly Disappointed
I want to start off with saying the workers at Aunt Bugs were very kind, made check-in and check-out very simply, and just overall were awesome to communicate with on that end. We also spoke briefly with the manager at checkout about some of the issues and he offered us a discount on the next stay, but we will most likely not be booking through them again. We also booked based on the VRBO map location, which is incorrect. We are simply, easy people to please, and I don’t really ever leave bad reviews.
There are holes in the drywall in the bathroom and scratches on the inside of the back door, which I know happens but should be noted so current stayers aren’t charged for damages. The amount of dust and grime everywhere makes it seem like it hasn't had an actually deep cleaning in quite some time. We cleaned split coffee spots off of the counters from the previous renters. There is also a drawer being held in by nails that are sticking out and the first night it just fell out on my husbands toe, and the additional lockbox that holds the back door key was handing open with the key in it... I sent the property management pictures the next morning but didn’t get a proper reply. The balcony porch and side steps need a pressure washing because they are grimy and slick. We are perfectly okay with a simple, low-key place to stay. We just want a clean place to stay where we feel like we can shower and use the bathtub.

Spider Webs at Aunt Bugs Cabin
My wife and I enjoyed 3 nights at the cabin. The positives were the mountain view, fireplace, Jacuzzi, hot-tub, privacy. We liked not being in busy downtown, but only a short drive away. Overall not bad for the price. However, the negatives were the cabin desperately needs a deep cleaning. The spiderwebs in the bathroom and front porch area especially. The reservation / check-in process was way too cumbersome. After booking online I was redirected to Aunt Bugs Cabin management. It took 3 phone calls and 6 text messages to secure everything. They kept "forgetting" they already had my information. I had to send a photo idea holding my drivers license to my forehead twice. Short of requiring a blood & hair-sample, it was way over the top. Too much time and too many steps required in the process. 4 different people calling me from the agency. Way too cumbersome!
