Great communication with the owner, Kathi (friendly). Nice view of the lake from the deck. Lake is clean. House is clean and spacious, had everything we needed. The backyard was all sand/dirt, but maybe that was a good thing and reduced the mosquitos! Thank you for sharing your home.
We had an amazing stay. House is beautiful and spacious has all the comforts of home. We swam kayaked and enjoyed the dock. Looks like they are still working on the yard but who cares when the view is gorgeous. Also a short drive to winthrop and augusta
We had a great time. Plenty of room for the five of us especially with teenagers! The home is well equipped, the dock was perfect for the boat and swimming in the afternoon was relaxing. The owners do use the home but accommodated our stay in between their time, thanks!
Wonderful and quiet time spent at this property. We listened to the loons call at night. The lake was warm and fun to swim in. We found the house suited us for when we had to work remotely. Homey touches made it the perfect summer stay.
The house was just as advertised. Had all we needed.
The outside space was a challenge as we had a two year old with us and not having access to the water from the deck seemed odd.
Also, the neighbors moved their jet skis from where they were originally moored. They brought them up on the sand. We were unsure where the allocated swimming area was.
Myself and two coworkers chose this home to stay during a week-long work trip in the area. It was so much more enjoyable than a hotel and gave us the opportunity to get together "after work" much easier, and have a great space on the deck, on the dock, or around the fire to catch up on the day. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
The host, Kathi was great to work with. She got right back to me. The property overlooks the lake and had a dock. The neighbor is close, but very nice. The kitchen had everything we need to prep the food we brought. All in all, a great property.
The house was great for our family. Clean and spacious enough. The yard was not really useable and was sad there was no ladder on the dock to be able to enter and exit the water from the dock. We would have entered by the water front but the water was quite weedy there.
Thank you for letting us stay we enjoyed the view.
Kathi is a generous host that made for a great stay. Home was very comfortable for 6 adults, the three bedrooms accommodated us well and the beds were comfortable. Newer Weber grill on a nice deck overlooking the lake. Small heater efficiently warmed the entire home on chilly nights.
Ample parking, truck with trailer and three additional vehicles was no problem. Large dock with nice sandy shoreline. Neighbors are friendly. We'll be back!
All the amenities of home with a gorgeous view. Plenty of space, clean and well kept but not so fancy I was worried about my kids touching things. The yard was wet. But who cares when you can swim non stop. Great for kayaking my mom paddled out and walked trails on the Island. We saw a bald eagle, heron, turtles, and heard loons. And a15 min drive to the grocery store. It was just right
We were four adults for one full week. We all enjoyed the house, which was very comfortable, warm and cozy. Queen beds were firm and we all slept well on them. Carpeted floors were great for walking with bare feet on both first and second floors. Plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans and dishes. TV was fine except we missed having Netflix for streaming movies at night. The back lawn is very low and wet, but the dock is great, and we brought our kayaks to paddle around on the lake, which we did several times. There are many local walking trails managed by the Kenebeck Land Trust, so if you enjoy taking short hikes of 1-3 miles, check out their website for hikes in Monmouth, Leeds, Winthrop and Augusta. The location is private with only about ten lakefront homes on that road, and it is extremely quiet. Overall, we had a very peaceful, pleasant vacation there, and I recommend it to others! Thanks, Kathi! You were very helpful in answering questions prior to our stay.
Had a great week (Sun - Fri) at this lake house, with good bass fishing. House was clean and great floor plan. No Central AC was a concern when it was 92 on arrival, but the bedrooms each had a portable AC unit which worked very well! Large ceiling fans really helped in living area as well. Back yard is quite wet and mostly dirt but owners are working in this, and it was overcomable if you sat on dock. Owner was very accommodating and responded right away throughout process and the week. Kathi is fantastic! And neighbors are great too! Very helpful & friendly . Definitely would stay again. Thanks for quiet relaxing week.
The Lake house was a perfect blend of hominess and elegance. The vaulted living room with overlooking sitting room was impressive. The rental is fully furnished and equipped for a very comfortable stress free vacation
Thank you
Beautiful spacious home. Great open concept kitchen and living area. Nice deck for grilling and listening to the loons on the lake. The place is tucked in an area of wonderful farm country and more lakes and waters then you could fish and boat in a whole season.
This cottage was everything promised. Beautiful views , nice lake, good fishing. Kathi was good host and was responsive to my questions. It was a nice much needed quiet time
