Wonderful Location
This is my family's second time at the "River House" and this time it was during the Hot Air Balloon Festival. The house is perfectly located to walk to the take out point but we found the best view from the back yard, even watching hot air balloons fly directly over the house. A once in a lifetime experience!

suggestions
We had a pleasant stay at the River Ranch house. Loved the proximity to the wineries, and access to stores and restaurants nearby. The river was beautiful day and night, and the wildlife nearby kept us on our toes looking out to view. Playful marmots, geese and other birds, sheep, and cows (one we named “Oreo”). A highlight was seeing a huge passenger balloon floating by and then taking off into the morning sky. The house worked well for our group and the kitchen had great space for several cooks to work at a time. House general comments: · Thank you for having the lack of cold water in the kitchen fixed. · It is important to let arriving guests know that the house is not visible from the street turnoff, and that it is down a long gravel entry road. From the angle we approached, we could not see the address, and there was a long chain across the entry road … very confusing. · Most importantly, it would be helpful to have a set of instructions/guidelines in the guest notebook. Perhaps they were removed somehow. So we had no instruction about tips on using the house features, and no specifics about how to manage the laundry items when we left, etc. · Need more chairs for dining room … should accommodate at least 10 seated. · Living room seating is a little awkward for a large group … could use the addition of one or two smaller comfortable chairs. Other more long term thoughts: · It would be wise to have a handrail going down to the firepit area, as that is a steep drop, and is likely used when it is dark.

Great spot for families/friends
We visited this property as a couple families traveling together. The house is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. There was plenty of room to relax and spread out, both indoors and outside. We had two toddlers under two and and 8&10 year old who thoroughly enjoyed there time here as well! Highly recommend.

Perfect!
First off, Debi was so easy to work with and very accommodating when I needed to change my reservation. We arrived to an immaculate house with freshly cut roses from the garden. Coffee was all set up for us and came on automatically in the morning. Outside was a lush green lawn, beautiful floral landscaping, neighborly cows, sheep and goats. A pile of wood was left for us by the huge fire pit. Beds were super comfy. Just a short walk to town and to tasting rooms. I would book this house all over again!!!

Wonderful wine country retreat!
We loved our stay at Prosser River Ranch! From the very beginning of our reservation, Debbie was welcoming and made us feel right at home. Everything was clean and tidy. The view of the river was amazing and we enjoyed having coffee in the morning in the living room with this great view. We are looking forward to coming back in June to enjoy the outdoor patio and the rest of the property in warmer weather. Really excited for our return!

This property is amazing!
We had such a great time at this property. The setup is perfect for a large group. Everyone has a place to sit and visit. The bedrooms are in the back of the house so if you want some peace and quiet you can do that too. The grounds are amazing with the yard and creek running through the yard.

Everyone liked their room
What a beautiful peaceful location! We used all five bedrooms and everyone said their bed was very comfortable. We ate out, we cooked at home, we cooled our feet in the creek, we hung out on the patio and no one lives close enough to be offended by our loud laughter at midnight. We watched the cows and visited with the neighboring goats. We spotted Ospreys overhead and Great Blue Herons at riverside. The marmots in the neighboring field were cute too. We loved how close this house is to downtown antique shops, the Farmers Market and some really good restaurants. And wine tasting, so many places to choose from and everyone in the town was so friendly. Prosser, this group of high school girlfriends will be back!

Lovely setting and ample accommodations
We enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient and attractive. There was plenty of space for our group. We did find the furnishings likely more comfortable for young families with kids than for older guests. And the intricacies of the lighting setup was challenging. All in all positive. A hot tub would be a great addition.

Perfect setting!
First off this house is as good or better than the pictures. Such a beautiful back patio with views along the river. Even the sound of rushing water is heard but not above the birds chatter, I love this setting for morning coffee. There were 10 of us. Each couple had there own rooms & the bathrooms were not a problem to work out showers. Debbie was so great leading up to our visit. All in, the cost for our stay & ability to cook made our trip cheaper and a lot more fun than a Hotel stay. Our trip was centered around a Smasne Cellars tasting & tour. It is by far one of the best experiences our wine group has had so far. Don't miss a chance to taste & eat there. The Chef Kyle worked with Tom Douglas and it is so great! Most everyone said there bed was good, just one in our party reported, in their opinion the bed sharing a wall with the hall bath needed replacing. Their kitchen, while good does not reflect serving dishes equipped for a large group of 10 & the non-stick pans were shot. The coffee maker brews a 12 cup pot but the burner won't keep it hot, time for a replacement or bring your own. I love to cook so next time I'll bring my own pans & a few utensils I need to get the job done. Otherwise there are plenty of dishes & glasses. I will not be surprised if our wine group does not make this a yearly trip & stay. This rambler is a great find!

Wonderful Riverfront Property in the Middle of Wine Country
Half my family stayed at this property when we attended my son's wedding in Prosser. (The other half stayed at another property just down the road.) They were all delighted with both properties and gave them rave reviews. As far as the Riverfront Ranch was concerned, it was nestled behind a country driveway but a stone's throw from the Yakima River. Geese, chukar, a few steers, two goats and two sheep provided a pleasant rural experience. The house's central rooms were very spacious and made it easy to visit among our family members. The outdoor patio and fire pit area turned out to be the perfect place to end our visit as we made s'mores and watched the glorious sunset. Although only a short walk from the Wine Village and other stores, the house and grounds were extremely quiet. We did need to organize a schedule for showering as there were only two in the house but we enjoyed the challenge. We would definitely stay there again if an occasion would present itself.

Great stay
We stayed at the River House for a Girls Wine Tasting weekend. There were 10 of us. Plenty of room, we did not feel cramped, very spacious living space. Three of the bedrooms are very spacious and two are smaller. Kitchen was well equipped with what we needed for dinner and breakfasts. No complaints. We are already planning our trip for next year and the house will definitely be our number one choice for accommodations.

Three couples, three days, tons of fun
The house is in a great location for exploring wineries in the Yakima Valley. The house itself is beautiful and spacious inside. I'm in a wheelchair and it worked great for me. I would go back or recommend this to a friend with no hesitation.

Another great girl's weekend in Prosser
We just arrived home from another great girl's weekend in Prosser. We rented the same weekend last year, see review below. The house and managers are awesome. The house is so roomy and clean and the managers are available at all times. We had a great weekend of wine tasting, had camp fires each evening, enjoyed the amazing views morning and evening. The only suggestion that our group would make is that then house needs a new coffee pot. The coffee took way too long each morning, approx. 30 minutes to brew a pot of coffee. We will tell friends and hopefully be back for another great weekend.

Family Weekend/Wine Tasting
We LOVED our stay! Such a great location for a large family get-together and wine weekend. We had a total of 14 adults and 4 children (toddlers and infants) in the space one evening, and it was plenty big. The indoors was very roomy - the 5 bedrooms were large and there were lots of bathrooms (2 full + 2 half). A GREAT view of the bridge/river from the living room and master bedroom/patio. The yard was HUGE -- so next time we'll bring yard games! The outdoor BBQ grill was immaculate and the firepit was large too...although we didn't use it due to fire restrictions in the area during the summer.

Family reunion
The house was exactly like the pictures on the web page. We had 33 people there for a family reunion and NEVER felt like the place was to small. It is a beautiful setting. ALL the beds were comfortable.
