About this property

This beautiful home is located in the very quiet Covered Bridge subdivision of Waupaca. The main floor has recently under gone a major remodeling and is very modern. The entire first floor was completed in 2020.

The home is Just moments from all the outdoor activities and night life but yet is incredibly peaceful with no city lights. The lot is heavily wooded and on the Waupaca River. Come, relax, fish or have a fire next to the river. There is a fire pit and a supply of firewood onsite.

It is currentlya 5 bedroom home. (Under construction for a 6th to hopefully be completed this spring) The master bedroom has a king bed overlooking the river. The master bathroom got a complete remodeling two years ago and is just beautiful. The other 2 bedrooms both upstairs, one with a 1 king and a single in the close (perfect if you have a toddler) and one bedroom with a queen bed. The king bedroom has a view that overlooks the river. There is a fourth bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed in it. Perfect for the elderly traveling in your group. 5th bedroom is in the basement and has a queen bed a double bed and a single bed in it. Great place to send the kids it hasa tv in it too!!
There’s a Hot tub on the deck along with an outdoor bar. 3 Kayaks available upon request. House includes WIFI and all the amenities of a fully furnished home.

Pets are allowed for a small fee. I did add a large fenced in area for them recently. It’s completely in the woods so is very shaded and comfortable.

Great Stay!!

Bonnie’s place is spacious and comfortable. We traveled with four adults a 3 1/2 year-old and a one year-old everybody was able to have their own bedroom with one bedroom to spare. The beautiful setting on Waupaca River is very peaceful. The hot tub was a huge hit with everyone.!

Wonderful Getaway

This house is becoming a favorite of ours. Bonnie is wonderful to work with. The house is full of all the amenities they you would need. The bedrooms are super comfy. The backyard really make your stay extra special. Hot tub and firpit with the river running nearby is very pictursque.

Excellent Cousin Weekend

Amazing place to stay! We rented the house for a long weekend with cousins. Huge house, with plenty of room. Bonnie is very accommodating and so easy to get a hold of! Would definitely return and rent from Bonnie again! Thanks for a wonderful weekend to make memories!

Family Getaway

We had an amazing stay here for our family getaway. The owners were prompt with any questions we had and very friendly and accommodating. The house and location was quite beautiful and serene. The location itself was ideal because it gave the impression of being remote while still being close to amenities like grocery stores and restaurants. This was one of the most well stocked kitchens in respect to supplies, pots, pans and small kitchen appliances, etc. We truly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return!

Great place for family

Bonnie's home was clean, warm, and welcoming! Plenty of space for the whole family. Beautiful shaded yard with serene flowing river in the back. We enjoyed campfires and smores at the firepit and relaxing in the hot tub. The inside of the home is open and plenty of space for all. Beds were very comfortable and the 2 sets of washer/dryer makes laindry a quicker task. We would love to come back for another visit!

Nice for a family

Nice property for a family. The deck, bbq & patio furniture are nice. The kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils and amenities. Beds were comfy. Property was quiet and peaceful. Only down side was the fast river and the trees that were down in front of their portion of the river. Not safe for dogs or kids. Made it hard to cast fishing lines. Otherwise it was nice.

On The Mark

This is a lovely, well-appointed rental property as it is and it appears more improvements/additions are forthcoming. Cleanliness and communication were top-notch. The living room furniture is insanely comfortable. The kitchen is very well appointed and the beds abundant and comfortable. The riverside setting is picturesque. We enjoyed several soaks in the well-maintained hot tub that is placed in a way that affords maximum privacy. The neighborhood is very quiet and feels safe. I would give the location a 4.5 star rating if I could, only knocking it down a slight notch due to traffic noise that echoes across the river from the highway. Overall, Bonnie's property made for a very pleasant and stress-easing weekend getaway, She goes out of her way to see that her guests' needs and expectations are met. This property would be a fantastic place for a larger family group gathering and offers many extras that make it a good value. Thank you, Bonnie.

Family Time

Our family grouop of 8 adults age 60 to 74 looked a long time to find a house to accomodate us. Bonnie's place fit the bill. What we loved: quiet, privacy, river front, large well supplied kitchen for several chefts at once, large dining room table we could all sit at, back deck and front porch with lots of comfortable seating,comfortable beds, hot tub, close to town of Waupaca. There is a great beach a short drive away. We had some questions after booking, before arrival and Bonnie communicated quickly. The basement is still under renovation including a bathroom, but the bedroom down there is comfy with two beds and is blocked off from the other areas. The landscaping is lovely. There was enough room in the driveway for 5 cars including a large transit van. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation

This house was beautiful and beautifully located on the Waupaca River. We hadn’t had a family vacation in over 5 years and this place was perfect for our growing family and older parents. Bonnie filled us in on where everything was and was so much fun to talk with. We wish her the best of luck as she continues working on the house!

Great property

Property was gorgeous. Went in fall with the changing colors and falling leaves. Hot tub and fire pit were used often. Plenty of space for all of us to eat, play games and watch tv together. Was so nice to have the river right in the back yard. Lots of things to do for all ages. Everyone had a great time. Owner was nice and very responsive if we had any questions.

Great River view property

Spacious house in a great wooded location, with the deck and yard overlooking Waupaca River. Fully equipped kitchen, all linnens and towels provided. Remodeling of the house not quite finished, as of May 2019. As a result, it features only 3 regular bedrooms and open space with some beds in basement and bathrooms available only on second floor. We had a great time, Bonnie was a wonderful host, easy to communicate with. Would stay again.

Beautiful and spacious property on the river!

This was the 23rd year of our annual girls weekend, and we couldn't have been happier with this beautiful house in Waupaca! We usually never go back to the same place twice, but the girls all want to come back next year. Loved enjoying our morning coffee in the hot tub, seeing the beautiful deer frolicking around the river. Conveniently close to town for any last-minute needs. We don't travel lightly as we like to cook a lot and do crafts, etc, and there was so much extra space to store our belongings. Everything was spotless upon arrival. Bonnie was so easy to work with and responded quickly with any questions we had. We loved having bonfires alongside the river every night. Highly recommend this place and hoping we're able to come back next year.

Wonderful, spacious, quiet property in great location!

Stayed with my family for a week and would definitely come back. House is great for large families with plenty of room to relax and maneuver. Many bedrooms, all clean and comfortable. Patio and back yard are amazing. Patio is huge with a good grill and chairs you dont want to get up from! There's also a rather large fenced in dog run which came in handy. Owner of property was easy to work with, no issues. Property feels and sounds remote but amenities are all within a 5 minute drive. Hot tub was clean and easy to use. If i had to criticize anything, it would be small things but nothing that would prevent me from staying here again. Many thanks, Bonnie, for trusting us with yiur property!

Beware

I felt it was necessary to share my review of the home we rented from June 6-9 2024 from Bonnie Timm. Our family had driven over four hours to get to Waupaca and when we arrived at the posted check-in time of 3 pm we walked into a construction zone! We volunteered to cancel our eat-in plans and go out to dinner in order to vacate the property so they could finish their work. Bonnie assured us that they would be done by 9 pm. That did not happen. Finally after 10 pm we asked them to leave so we could go to bed. We rented a 5 bedroom house that slept 13 but only got 4 bedrooms that slept 8, if you doubled up on all the beds, which we had not intended to do. Since we were 3 beds short from what was listed some of our family members were forced to sleep on a blow up mattress and the couch. In addition to the construction and sleeping quarter shortage the TV didn’t work, most of the windows lacked shades, closet doors were missing, the freezer was leaking water on the floor, many electrical outlets had no power along with other miscellaneous unfinished odds and ends. Due to the numerous inconveniences Bonnie agreed to a specified credit while we were still at the property. We both agreed it was fair given all the issues. A week later she let me know she had changed her mind and refused to satisfy the credit we previously agreed upon. Needless to say I would be very hesitant to do business with her in the future. I’m sure she is working on the home, but beware.

Great home, some discrepancies

This is a beautiful home and our family had a magical time relaxing, making meals, kayaking on the stream, and enjoying the hot tub. The home is beautiful, and while it is lived-in and has many personal items on the shelves, it still feels very welcoming to guests. The description and other reviews do a great job selling the benefits of this rare find in Waupaca. There were a few things that were a little disappointing, that we wish we were more aware of before booking the home. One is that the renovation is still only partially done. Most of the time, that means minor things aren't finished: a missing tile here, exposed wood there. I assume the basement will have more work done. It was not as homey as rest of the home. The lighting is harsh, and it feels very much like an old basement that has beds and carpeting (2 big beds, and a bunk bed). Also, it seems the sump-pump stopped working. There was water in the carpet in some areas, which contributed to a wet, musty, smell. We didn't spend any time in the basement as a result, which also meant that we didn't take advantage of the extra beds, which we expected to use when we booked. We had to adjust our sleeping plan, which wasn’t awful, but unexpected considering how many beds were in the photos. The kitchen has a fridge with filtered water and an ice maker, but the ice maker didn't work. We ended up buying a bag of ice. Also the filtered water had some problems, and stopped flowing after 6 cups. Bonnie was very communicative through all these issues, but didn't have a solution for the water. I investigated further and found that the filter hadn't been pushed all the way in, and fixed it myself. The water is very slow coming out though. The house has a coffee maker and a Keurig, but the Keurig did not work after the 1st cup. In my experience with Keurig machines, it needs a deep cleaning because it had been used with tap water, not filtered water. It was nice that there was lots of hot cocoa available, plus some instant coffee. We bought keurig k-cups before we knew the condition of the keurig, so weren't really able to use them. These are all very minor issues, but things we wish we would have been aware of prior to booking the home. All in all, the home is beautiful and made for a super relaxing vacation. Bonnie was easy to reach and communicate with. We had a great time!
