Amazing Views All Seasons White Lake/Channel, Easy walk to Lake Michigan!

Nestled in a private setting offering beautiful views of White Lake and the boat channel during all seasons. Less than 0.3 mile walk to Lake Michigan offering a public access sandy beach and dunes. Boat Launch to White Lake just to the left of the property! This large renovated open floorplan offers plenty of room inside to accommodate guests.

Take in all the lake views, including White River Light House from inside the top level main living space. Watch the boats come in and out of the channel! Take a few minute walk to Lake Michigan and walk the channel that you see from the house. Enjoy all the lake has to offer with a sandy beach and sand dunes to climb. Take your camera to capture the amazing sunsets. Outside there is a firepit area with plenty of wood and a spacious front yard Plenty of space inside and out that will help make your trip relaxing and stress free! Cold or raining? Cozy up by the fireplace and play games with family and friends. Below is a garage to kick off your shoes, brush off the sand and play a game of ping pong. Bedrooms are all located next to each other on the main level. Large bathrooms allow room for getting ready. Top Level is living/kitchen/dining room.
Experience the changes of Fall with breathing taking views of the leaves changing colors! Take part in all the local Fall activities.
Winter offers even better views. Enjoy the coziness inside while looking out onto the lakes and channel. Hart Montague trail becomes a 22 mile snowmobile trail, White Lake with it's ice fishing enthusiast! Spend the holiday season enjoying the tranquility of nature. This home is decorated for the holidays mid November through mid January.
This is not just a rental. This is our family cottage and is maintained and cared for by the owners. We fill up fast so be sure to book early! We are already preparing for your stay!

Spacious, Relaxing, Vaca

This is a beautiful home, very spacious and accommodating. Everything you need for a perfect vacation. We brought our kayaks but, we didn’t even need to do that. We loved watching the boats make their way back and forth. It’s close enough to walk to the causeway. The home was very clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed having a campfire each night, as well as seeing the abundance of deer on and around the property. The dumb waiter was a blessing since we brought 3 coolers of groceries with us. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic hosts, fabulous Memorial Day weekend!

Everything about this property was beautiful, inside and out. The layout of the home was great for a large family with teenagers (kitchen on top floor with great views, bedrooms & bathroom on main level, and basement full of fun activities) and we loved that it was within walking distance to the beach and boat launch. The home had everything we needed to cook and the water from the tap tasted better than any VRBO we've ever stayed in. Every detail was thoughtful...the decorating was very sweet. I appreciated the guest book with helpful hints. Easy access to local dining, shopping, beaches/parks etc. We ate at Old Channel Inn (2 minute drive or a quick bike ride away) then went to the Muskegon Farmers Market, Silversides, and an Aquastar boat tour in Muskegon. I would love to visit the area again and go to the Montague farmers market and visit the local antique stores and garage sales. Would definitely book this property again! Thank you Eric & Roni!!

Wonderful stay for family fall break

Peaceful, comfortable & well designed

We have family in Montague & Whitehall and are familiar with the area. This home is a stone’s throw from the Montague side of channel (you can see the channel from the house) & also Lake Michigan. We especially loved the upper deck to watch the boats. While you can’t see Lake Michigan from the property, it’s a 2 minute walk to the beach. The location is superb for watching the channel activities, enjoying the deer in the woods behind & to the north of the home, and walking to the beach for sunsets. Every thing we needed was there-we used the kayaks and that was a great activity as you just put in at the boat ramp 60 seconds away. We really appreciated the superb Wi-Fi in this home. We had no issues with streaming, video calls, and quick on line access. While our cellular service was not great anywhere in the area, the Wi-Fi at the house was fantastic. In fact, there are two networks in the home that you can connect to & we were able to “work from home” and enjoy the views out the large kitchen windows and open concept of the upper floor. The pictures on the listing are 100% accurate of the home. We thoroughly enjoyed our nine nights, and if we are able to return to Montague next summer, will be rebooking this property because of its location, views of the water, beautiful decor, open concept layout, strong Wi-Fi, and all the comforts of a lake/beach home.

Nicest VRBO at White Lake!

Holy Moly ! This home is impeccable decorated! It’s just stunning! Every single thing in it is so well thought out.it’s spotless clean. Plenty of towels, soaps, dishwasher detergent, coffee creamer… the things most VRBOs nice you just 3 of. You can walk to Lake Mich for the sunset or sit around their fire pit at nigh. Each bedroom and bathroom were designed beautifully. And we loved the deck couch/chairs we could sit on and watch the boats go thru the channel. It was an incredible stay! I highly recommend.

Lovely property in great location

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely holiday home which is beautifully decorated and well equipped. There is easy access to the lake and our family was able to try out the canoes and paddle boards provided along with life jackets. There are also cycles, table football and ping pong in the basement which were also enjoyed. This was the second week of our trip to the USA and Roni & Eric were very accommodating when we enquired about the possibility of earlier access to their property when we had to leave our prior nearby holiday home across the lake early on switchover day. They also left us a well stocked welcome basket on arrival. We will have fond memories of our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Roni & Eric and their beautiful holiday home.

Fantastic Stay

We had an amazing trip to this beautiful home! The house is extremely clean and has a great view of White Lake. There are many touches that make it feel so comfortable to stay there. The kitchen is stocked for any cooking you would like to do. The owners were very kind and quick to communicate at any time after we booked. I would highly recommend renting this home!

Wonderful stay!

When we arrived we found a welcome basket and a hand written note from Roni and Eric, which was a very nice surprise. The check-in process was very easy and the house is gorgeous. There is a spectacular view of the channel, and a nice walk to the pier and beach. Since it was October it was breezy and cool ( our Florida family members may describe it a little differently), but it was still very enjoyable taking a walk on the pier. There is a wonderful fire pit but we felt it was a little too windy to have a fire. Maybe we will have an opportunity to go back. Thank you Roni and Eric for providing such a wonderful home for our family gathering.

Amazing weekend!

This house was so beautiful and had amazing views! The home was very clean and the owners thought about every detail! The house comes with everything you need!! Close proximity to town and many cute shops and restaurants. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boards and the kids loved how they could play in the sand which was literally steps from the house! We rented a boat one day and that was super fun too!! In the evenings we grilled out, made bon fire’s and had a blast playing ping pong!! We all greatly enjoyed our weekend and can’t wait to come back!!

Michigan Vacation

Good location for a quiet visit. Short walk to Lake Michigan a plus. Lots of steps. Need a sign or note on door out to top deck, as the step is much deeper than expected. Lots of towels for showers and lake use a plus. Looked like the water softner needed salt. Would suggest that the chemical bottles in sink on garage level need to be either stored elsewhere or disposed of.

Great location near the lakes and channel!

Very comfortable house with large kitchen, living area and rooms. Garage with many kayaks, ping pong, foosball. Definitely enjoyed having the firepit and other outdoor areas. Lake Michigan was about a 5 minute walk and the boat launch for the kayaks was only 100 feet away. Short drive (12 minute) into town for restaurants, ice cream, breweries, groceries, etc.

Absolutely wonderful!

First, we've stayed at lots of B&Bs & VRBO locations and this is by far the best. The location is perfect - close to the beach, wonderful view - I really can't say enough. I also can't say enough about what great host Eric & Roni are. Totally accommodating. If I was a VRBO host I'd want to be just like them.

Beautiful waterfront getaway

Great space with amazing views and proximity to beach. Our whole family enjoyed the home, as well as the location. The home was well stocked with everything you need. Lake Michigan was a short walk away and the beach was super clean. Our toddler loved the playing in the sand bar right in front of the house and the shallow water was perfect for her!

Ideal combination for quiet family retreat…

Having grown up in White Lake, I frequently visit, and know all the area has to offer. Our small family wanted to ensure this trip was unique, and balanced. Our stay at “North Haven” helped us create some wonderful memories. The current owners have truly done a wonderful job brightening this property, and making it a welcoming destination. It is lovingly maintained, and offers walkable access to the nearest Lake Michigan public beach, while being nestled in a quiet corner at the west end of White Lake. Our current home in the mid-Atlantic region lacks access to water, and this visit - albeit, too brief - enabled our children to experience all the wonders of a west Michigan summer. We look forward to the possibility of a return visit.

Perfect location, stunning views, beautiful home

My family and I really enjoyed this house. Lots of space, very clean, and exceptionally well stocked with supplies, gear and extra towels. All the details were thought of. It was a short walk to the beach and pier, a short drive to all kinds of local activities, yet a peaceful getaway for lazy mornings and breezy evenings on the patio. Would definitely stay again!

Nice Location

Nice house with everything you could need for a week. Spacious. We enjoyed short walks to Lake Michigan in morning and evening, kayaked, rode bikes, area golfing, brewery/winery visits. Great location with easy access to both lakes.

Why they chose this property

The search began from South Haven, North up the Lake Michigan shore. We stumbled onto this place and knew before even seeing it in person, this place was the one that we could have a forever family cottage. The home and property checked all the boxes that we were looking for and so much more. The feeling you get when you sit up on the decks and look out over the water is indescribable. We had very little knowledge of the area when we purchased but learned quickly why it was so popular. The area has that sense of community and small town feel. There is plenty to do while you're there, however anytime we get a chance to stay I never want to leave the property! It is so peaceful and secluded!

What makes this property unique

Unique to the other homes near there is the home is tucked into the woods. You have to look hard through the trees in the summer time to see any other home. The 2 decks in front of the home offer spectacular views. The upper level of the home is the main living area which makes sense to have the best views while your awake during the day. The entry first level is where the bedrooms are. It is feet away from White Lake and 1/2 mile to Lake Michigan and the channel. If you stand to the far left you can even see the waves on Lake Michigan. The location is perfect to take advantage of both lakes. In the fall there are so many trees that offer all the colors of autumn. In the Winter the views get even better as the leaves begin to fall from the surrounding area, opening up your sight lines.
