Beautiful Condo in Pajaro Dunes!

We have been staying here for the last few years and the condo is comfortable, clean and with a beautiful view of the ocean! Sandy is such pleaaure to work wlth, responsive and kind! Definitely, consider this place as your next location for a relaxing vacation!

Listen to the waves

The ocean, beach, & valley view was incredible from this lovely 3rd floor condo, it had everything we could have possibly needed to make our stay enjoyable & relaxing. The beds were comfortable and you can fall asleep to the sound of ocean waves. The kitchen had a great selection of very nice cookware, dishes, small appliances, and lots of extras. The electric fireplace was nice for the cool evenings and the deck was great in the morning with coffee. We had access to beach chairs and umbrellas but opted for walking along the beautiful beach. This is one of the nicest rentals I’ve stayed at, looking forward to coming back again soon!

Relaxing

Our stay at Pajaro Dunes was a nice little girl's weekend getaway. It is a very nice, quick walk to the beach. The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. It is on the third floor with no elevator so it was nice that it had a ramp rather than just stairs when taking our luggage up...we did not see carts that are available at the base of the ramp when we arrived, but we were able to take advantage of one which helped when we left. While the inside of the condo was nice, updated and comfy with a nice deck to enjoy coffee while watching the surf, the outside of the condo could stand a little TLC. The check in process was a little bit of an issue too since you have to check in with security who forgot to give me the key - since the security building is a couple of miles from the condo, and I didn't realize that a key was necessary until I got to the door (most VRBOs I go to have a code), it added about another 15 minutes before we could actually get in. But other than that, it was a nice time in a nice place. It is very secluded, so if you are looking to go and just relax it is a good place to stay since the beach is right there, very open and not crowded at all like some of the surrounding beaches (such as Capitola). If you are looking for more activity, plan on driving at least 20 minutes. Thanks to the hosts for a nice place!

Pictures Don't Do the View Justice

The condo was exactly as advertised, private and quiet. We didn't hear any neighbors the three days we were there. There is a lovely floor-to-ceiling view of the beach. The day we arrived the winds were crazy, so we sat contentedly at the table and watched the waves. The unit was impeccably clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the bed was comfortable. The beach was right outside the building, and we appreciated having access to beach chairs. It was fun to watch the curlews, sandpipers, and pelicans. (For people with mobility issues: The unit is on the 3rd floor and there is a ramp; however, there are three steps into the unit itself. Also, on the 2nd day I discovered that I could avoid most of the steps to the beach by taking the path at the back of the building.) Overall, a very pleasant stay and the host was great about communicating. I would definitely book this condo again.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate my father’s birthday. The unit is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well appointed - and the ocean view is eye candy! Gorgeous Condo

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous condo. The views from the living room are spectacular. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well appointed and being just steps to the beach was perfect. Our host was incredibly communicative and helped solve a minor issue we had with the fireplace within minutes. Would highly recommend.

A Zen like Ocean View

Unbelievably wonderful condo with one of the best views of the ocean we have seen in a rental unit. The immaculate condo has an amazing well stocked kitchen and comfy beds. Amazing Christmas Vacation!

Sandra, thank you so much for opening your home to us. We had such a wonderful stay here! The pictures online didn't give the unit full justice because that wrap around balcony was EVERYTHING! Just hearing the calm roars of the ocean day and night was so theraputic for my family and I. Not to mention the extremely short walk to the beach *chefs kiss* The unit was stocked with almost all of our household needs and the beach decor was just adorable. All around 5/5 in all categories. Definitely planning a return!

Beautiful views, wonderful place

Our family of 4, including 2 kids, ages 7 and 9, stayed for 3 nights in this lovely home. We only did light cooking but if we had wanted to do more complex dishes I think we would have been fine. It’s a well-stocked kitchen, had a decent variety of spices, and oil available. Everything was in great condition and worked well. It’s a pet peeve of mine when the kitchen is not well-stocked so I greatly appreciated this kitchen. The beds were comfortable, we had plenty of blankets as well as heaters to keep us warm. My husband was able to surf while the kids and I played on the beach. The location is semi-remote but the town of Watsonville is about a 10-15 minute drive, so you if you do plan on cooking, make sure to stock up before you arrive as you do have go in/out the gated community. Also, be aware the TV is not a smart tv. That was not a deal-breaker for us; we had plenty of channels/shows to entertain us when we used the TV. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your home, Sandy. We LOVED it and I highly recommend staying here.

From labels, a complete binder with step by step “how do’s”, communications and overall concerns that our stay was seamless, enjoyable and relaxing. 2nd stay at this wonderful condo in the past month or so. The unit location is excellent, the amenities are plentiful, and privacy & safety abound. Premier privacy unit

I've stayed at dozens of units at Pajaro and Monterey Dunes, this was among the best. The unit location is very private, including the back deck to enjoy the sunsets in seclusion. Easy walk to the beach, and excellent surf fishing right outside your door. Sandy is exceptionally attentive and available, removing any chance of a poor experience. Lastly, if you think the unit is lacking something - look closely, as it's likely there!

Very nice condo

This condo is beautiful and a lot of amenities are provided. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with. The view is amazing! The check in process was ok, the person in the office didn’t give me keys and I didn’t remember until we drove all the way down to the building but she gave me the parking permit. So we drove back and was told there was a power outage so they hadn’t gotten the email from the owner about the keys. I thought it was odd since we could have checked in earlier and the power had just gone out apparently. The person kept answering phone calls and I had to wait to get the keys so I feel it could have been a smoother process. Maybe she was new, not sure. The owner was great about getting back to us about the power outage and it did come back on so we could make dinner. The beach is beautiful and peaceful! Bird watching is incredible and we saw otters, dolphins and a baby sea lion swimming by. We also experienced the cycle of life at the beach as there were 2 dead sea lions to the north which kind of smelled. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this lovely condo!

My husband and I grew up in San Jose and frequently spent time in the Santa Cruz beach area. We moved to Grass Valley and raised our family in the country but found ourselves renting vacation homes at various beach areas in California a few times a year.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Pajaro Dunes because of its location situated right on the beach - not down a rugged cliff, and the warm weather of the area pretty much year-round. The best part about it is: It's not crowded!
It is surrounded by ocean on the one side and acres of beautiful farmland on the other. We are just physically steps from the sand with unsurpassed views of the Pacific Ocean, overlooking Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz.

What makes this property unique

Pajaro Dunes is truly a natural paradise of tranquility. We love watching the wildlife in their natural habitat such as pelicans, various sea birds, sea otters, dolphins, California gray whales/humpbacks/killer whales migrating to Alaska or Mexico. Every time we visit our condo we spot whales in the bay and identify a new seabird or a native blooming plant. We love taking advantage of the areas fresh caught seafood and the freshly picked fruits and vegetables.
We think Pajaro Dunes is simply magical!
