The cabin we stayed at was nothing short of AWESOME. Close to the park entrance but secluded enough to be quiet and peaceful. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever experienced in our travels. When we go back to Glacier we will definitely work our schedule around the openings available for this property!
This lake house was perfect for our family trip to Glacier National Park. The house was beautiful, very clean, and had amazing lake and mountain views. The check in process was super convenient and our host was fantastic the entire time. We really enjoyed taking the canoe and pedal boats out on the lake and enjoyed exploring the area. It's location so close to the entrance to GNP made for an easy commute in and out of the park. We had a wonderful stay!
Our cabin on Lake 5 was the perfect place for us to spend our time in/near Glacier Nat'l Park. We are lake people, having the canoe and paddleboat our fist night there was so perfect, we spent the evening enjoying the lake, loved the train coming round the track and the beauty of the setting sun. The cabin was perfect for our stay, was able to put a pot of chili in the crock pot before we ventured our, it was lovely returning after a long day of incredible hiking to this cozy place on the water. Trudi, Tamara, thank you for making this the perfect place for my son and I to spend a few days exploring, it was the trip of a lifetime for us and Aster Cabin was the icing on the cake....speaking of, loved the brownies :)
The cabin was perfect for us! We enjoyed sitting in the porch and taking in the gorgeous view of the lake!
Tamara was awesome and took me out in the canoe with her so neither of us had to go alone. A very nice lady!
We loved our stay at this cabin. It was beautiful, clean, and the host Tamara was very helpful and welcoming. We had a hiccup with the lock code during our stay, but Tamara was able to resolve it within an hour and get us back into the cabin. The location was unbeatable - 10 min from Glacier NP entrance. As a bonus, we loved being able to use the paddle boats on the lake. Highly recommend!
A beautiful cabin, although not quite as secluded or private as we expected. There was a nice partial view of the lake. The dock was nice for relaxing in the sun! The cabin was very clean inside and out. The downstair bedroom mattress was too soft for us, but we chose not to go upstairs for health reasons. And our hostess was very helpful and welcoming!
This cabin was ideal for our family of 4 for our Glacier vacation. The lake, swimming area, canoe, and paddleboats made for a great way to relax after a day hiking in the park. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed, including a grill and cooking utensils to make meals during our stay. The cabin size was perfect and having another bed upstairs with a separate sink and toilet was great for our teenage daughters. The outdoor space with seating and a patio table was awesome to enjoy meals outside and relax. Our host was easily accessible and prompt via text messages. We loved our stay here!!!!
Our family of 4 enjoyed a vacation to the beautiful Glacier National Park area- and we were so lucky to have found this gem of a cabin! The location of this wonderful cabin is very convenient to the Apgar Gate, and as a major bonus there is a beautiful lake for swimming after enjoying your day in the park, or canoeing and paddle boating right at the back door. Amenities are nearby if needed such as groceries, ice cream and pizza. It was such a peaceful wonderful place to enjoy MT. Thanks for a great stay!
My boyfriend and I stayed for 5 days. We had no trouble connecting with or meeting our host to check in. The place was very clean and well represented in the photos. It was just the two of us so we didn’t use the loft area at all. Temps got into the mid 90’s the first 3 days, but the cabin stayed comfortable. We didn’t even bother with the 2 fans that were provided.
The WiFi is set up in the main house next door, not this cabin, so you have to go outside to connect. We spent a lot of time on the deck so that worked fine for us. My boyfriend had consistent service with AT&T but my T-mobile service was very spotty.
We took the canoe out on the lake once. The water was surprisingly warm and very clear. The location is great - about a 15 minute drive to the West Glacier entrance. The mattress in the downstairs bedroom sinks in the middle but wasn't as bad after we rotated it. Overall, we had a great stay and would stay again.
Overall great property! We really enjoyed the views and interior design of this cabin. Very good communication and quick replies to any inquiries we had.
We enjoyed our stay in the clean and pretty location. The only thing to make it perfect would have been a regular coffee pot and not a kerig. KCups were not available at the nearest grocery store and I have not had success in using grounds in the kcup adapter. Thank you so much for your hospitality! Macy was a very sweet contact person. We were very pleased.
The property was lovely and the host was very welcoming! The location is literally a few miles from the west Glacier National Park entrance and situated on a lake. You cannot find a better location to visit the area. As an added bonus, the host has homemade baked goods for sale, which were delicious! We very much enjoyed our stay!!
This cabin was wonderful. You can see the lake from the loft bedroom upstairs and there is another bedroom downstairs. Cell phone service is very spotty, but we were told that beforehand so we were somewhat prepared. Once at the cabin, cell service was great. I would highly recommend this cabin and would love to stay again!

Cute picture is deceiving
It was raining on the days we were there so thankfully we could check in early because there was nothing else to do.
The picture and description does not show you that the cabin is smooshed in between two other places on the same property that are also rented, so it is not private.
The living room is so small that there is only a loveseat, but no couch. The other chair in the living room is so old you can feel and hear the springs every time you sit back! The floors must have been installed wrong because now they bow up.
The door to the bathroom is a pocket door and does not glide well. Inadequate lighting in bathroom. Heat in bathroom does not work.
No central heat and it was cold while we were there in June.
The main house which is closer to the lake than the cabin has a firepit, but you can not use it. Not being able to have a campfire at a cabin by a lake was very disappointing to our kids.
It is obvious that the owners have not stayed here to see what it is really like, or they oblivious to the quirks.
They do have newer towels, so that is something…We personally have a lake cabin in another state and know what expectations are for a stay.
This location for a 3 generation trip was just great! The kiddos (11 and 12) loved the loft and canoeing on the lake! Great location….. highly recommend!
It was our 25th wedding anniversary trip and we couldn't be happier with our accommodations. This place is spotlessly clean, the deck and the view were perfect for morning coffee ! A great location where we could take a walk in the morning. Paddle boat was fun for a sunset cruise! Everything was just perfect!
This is a lovely log cabin on Lake 5. Beautiful views of the lake from both levels of the cabin. This cabin is only one mike to the apgar entrance for Glacier NP. Our visit was focused on the park so we didn’t use the lake during the stay but we enjoyed the views. There is a canoe and paddle boat for your use. The upstairs loft has a comfy king bed with a view of the lake and has a toilet and sink. Downstairs is a queen bed. My daughter thought the mattress was a tad too soft.Saw elk and deer on the property which was more than we saw in the park. This property works well for two couples or a family of four.
Beautiful place on Five Lake. We enjoyed canoeing and catching absolutely stunning sunsets. Short drive to the park and a great place to relax after a day of hiking. Highly recommend
The authentic log cabin also has modern architectural and design features. The master bedroom, living room and kitchen are located on the lower level; with access to a sleeping loft
provided by a massive wooden staircase. A spacious deck has an outdoor grill, seating area
and SPECTACULAR view of the lake. A dock with a canoe and paddle boats are available by
agreement with with owed.
Trudy is a unique hostess who is welcoming,
engaging and creative in her commitment to resolving any problems should they arise.
West Glacier is just one mile to the east, and provided easy access to Lake McDonald Lodge
to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary ‼️
