This cozy 2 BDR cottage is located in the desirable Spruce Point Colony and is one of the original cottages of Spruce Point Inn. Completely remodeled and updated, it is now privately owned and is part of a two acre private estate. The cottage has water views of the harbor, and its own private seaside terrace is just a few steps away. Located on an ocean peninsula, from the terrace you can watch lobstermen pulling their traps, and see all the boats coming and going from the harbor whether they are beautiful yachts from around the world, one of the many excursion boats or century old windjammers. Two restaurants, 88 Grand View and Bogie's are within a short walk from the cottage. There are also several walking trails through the woods behind the inn.
There is much to do in the Boothbay Region. The Chamber of Commerce, will provide you with information and video footage about the many options available from visits to the Maine Maritime Museum, a trip with a local lobsterman, or boat trips on sailing vessels or excursion boats. You can also visit islands such as Monhegan, a famous artist and fishing colony, or Burnt Island and take a tour of what life was like in the 40's for the lighthouse keeper and his family. You can pick blueberries and fresh vegetables in season from the garden next to you, sit and read by the fireplace on a cozy rainy day or at the end of the day watch a beautiful sunset from the deck of your cottage.
