Enjoyed our stay

It was a great stay. Beautiful area. Pretty decent fishing for bluegill and bass right off the dock. Very quiet and a very easy 15 minute drive to downtown Blue Ridge or Ellijay. I'd book here again without hesitation.

Great relaxing cabin

Our family spent the week of Thanksgiving at the cabin and it was great! The cabin was very well equipped with all the essentials. Directions to the place made it easy find. Communication with rental property agents was excellent. We enjoyed the fantastic views, and soaking in the hot tub. We will be back! Highly recommended.

Anniversary getaway.

The cabin was easy to get to with directions from host. Don’t use GPS! Cabin was clean minus some pans under the cabinet. We enjoyed the view, hot tub and fireplace. We tried playing pool but the room is too small for the pool table. You will hit the wall with the pool stick if you trying to hit from one end. Only other issue was the upstairs tub didn’t drain. And if you are traveling with a dog you have to go all the way down to the lake to give potty time. No grass up near the cabin. Overall it was a nice stay and I would stay there again. .

Great place!

Also, we could not find any dishwashing gelcaps to run the dishwasher. And on the 3rd step from the top a nail was popped up and almost got our friends foot real good. Dust on the ceiling fans and would have loved to burn some candles but there was none to burn. Loved the candlelambar on the table but no candles. Overall we had an enjoyable time and will be back. Glad y’all had the opening for a good valentines weekend.

Relaxing quiet visit

Rick and I were so happy to have a relaxing visit and we were able to bring our dog. We met some of the neighbors on our walks. Everyone was so friendly. We visited downtown and loved the antique shops. We also visited Odom, Paradise and Habersham wineries. Sherri at Odom winery was wonderful to visit with. Rick and I were there for a week and feel we paid top dollar in comparison to other rentals. We mainly cooked all of our meals in. The frying pans and pots were tired but we managed. We were only left the bare minimum supplies, 3 packets of dish soap, 2 rolls of toilet paper (we had to go buy some). Overall everything was clean and in good condition. I vacuumed before we left but I forgot to run dishwasher because I was rationing the last packet. Thank you for a nice visit. We would recommend our friends to stay here.

Wonderful Property

A beautiful place for a getaway. Peaceful lake community with approximately 20 cabins. We enjoyed paddling the canoe on the lake, coffee on the massive deck and both Ellijay and Blue Ridge are wonderful places to visit. This is great for couples or families. We definitely plan to visit again.

Cabin cute & cozy but kitchen is lacking.Knives not sharp, only 1 tablespoon, no rectangular baking

Only had half roll toilet paper in each bathroom...only 2 washcloths, bath towels. Good location but need to beef up kitchen utensils. Cooking for family is part of the vacation experience. My family makes fun of me for overpacking kitchen items & this time they thanked me for " being prepared". Maybe some renters aren't concerned about the cooking but for our family, it is integral to our experience.

PERFECT location....but....

...the property is showing its age with maintenance issues that should be taken care of if the home is to be continued to be listed as “luxury.” The photos on the listing are apparently old, as fire pit needs to be redefined and weeded & the accent lights on the stairs leading down to the lake are broken, which could lead to a serious liability issue for the property owners. The backdoor screening is ripped, dock needs a total rebuild along with the wooden bench that was eaten away by termites(?). Canoe launch is steep and dangerous, so as much as we wanted to canoe each day we were unable. Also be aware there is an overflow drain at edge of the lake that is constantly flowing to keep water level from flooding and sounds like a waterfall, which is nice. When you’re down at lake front instead of serene quiet, all you hear is the flow...it’s a matter of choice if you like that or not. Kitchen was stocked with whatever you need to cook, but the toaster oven SERIOUSLY needs replacing, as does coffee maker. For whatever reason the shelves in the door of the fridge had NO fronts on them, cutting the storage space in fridge so much so that we had to use a cooler filled with ice to store some of the food we and our guests brought....seven days worth! Overall cleanliness was okay: blinds downstairs were very dusty, platform for swivel stools also extremely dusty and ledge of backsplash in kitchen was VERY dirty, as I cleaned it myself upon arrival. My husband re-repaired the first floor toilet to keep it from running...it had been repaired with a twisty tie. Plenty of towels were provided and beds were super comfortable, though first floor bed made an awful lot of noise when turning over during the night. Hot tub was missing the pillow needed to fully lay back your head and relax. This is a NICE location and truly could be a five star property with some catch up maintenance $$ and then continuing to do a walk thru every quarter to note issues to take care of...and DO. Finally, this Sisson development seems to be defunct, as the pavilion mentioned in the listing description was inaccessible because gate was locked all the time we were there. We spoke with a full time resident and he said it is always locked. There are many rental homes around the lake, so be prepared for noisy neighbors who have no regard for the serenity..thankfully the ones we had near us left after a couple of days. We WOULD stay here again if the issues we mentioned were resolved.

Property and lake house were beautiful!

The house has everything you need for your stay and the view of the lake from the back porches is simply amazing. We will definitely be back again, loved this place! Hiking trail is right on the property and is a beautiful walk around the lake. Great fishing right off the dock and perfect location with the fire pit.

Wonderful anniversary

My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary along with his cousin and his wife were celebrating 10 years. We all decided to go away for a long weekend. We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean, cabin was easy to find, the the view was astounding. The weather was cold and rainy so We weren't able to enjoy the Canoe or dock. Hopefully next time

Amazing!! The view of the lake and mountains was incredible and the cabin was absolutely perfect!

We enjoyed everything about the cabin!! The furnishing were in theme with the area and the bed was very comfortable. The view off of every deck was spectacular but we really enjoyed sipping our morning coffee on the upper deck gazing out at the lake. We walked the trails around the cabin and used the canoe every day. At night we played a few games of pool and used the hot tub once after some strenuous hiking that day, perfect remedy for sore muscles. Overall a wonderful stay, we can't wait to come back again

Lakeview Escape Outstanding

We stayed here over July 4th week and couldn't ask for better facilities. Everything about the cabin was great from the covered porch to Jacuzzi. Also, the view of the lake and mountains was superb. We also enjoyed the pool table and canoeing on the lake. Unfortunately, with the problems with the dam breaking in the past the fishing was not good. Enjoyed stay any way as this was our 4th time staying with Ocean Breeze and we will come back. sincerely Doiuglas Whaitehead and family

A beautiful, quiet and peaceful setting. We hardly left the cabin it was so nice.

I would recommend the cabin to all dog lovers as ours thought the place was great. The little is very nice and being to take a canoe trip around it was fabulous. The cabin is very comfortable and appointed nicely. I would stay again any time.

Perfect Couple's Getaway

My husband and I are newlyweds, and this was the perfect retreat for a weekend getaway for us and our little terrier, Bingo. Although we enjoyed some hiking excursions and winery tours in the surrounding area, we both felt like we could have never left the property and still had an amazing vacation. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed paddling around the lake in the canoe, soaking in the hot tub, and playing a few games of pool in the loft. We also made s'mores in the lakeside fire pit and enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck with the dog. Having the Griffin-Thrasher 3 mile trail start right at the lake's edge was also a huge bonus, and we loved being able to take off on a hike right out our back door. The only negative about this mountain getaway was having to leave it - we hope to return again in the future!

The best vacation ever!!

The Lakeview Escape was an incredible cabin with one of the most breath-taking views of both the lake and the mountains. My boyfriend and I enjoyed sitting in the hot tub every night just looking out over the lake. We loved the canoe (which came with the cabin) and spent some time just floating around the lake. We fished from the dock and the grassy bank next to the cabin, I caught three fish and threw them back in. The fire-pit was so cozy, we relaxed with a nice glass of wine at dusk and just enjoyed our time together. We didn't bring out husky, Sheba, with us this time, but we definitely will on our next visit......which hopefully will be in the fall to see the colors, all in all, this was a fabulous cabin with an incredible setting and all the amenities that we needed
