Luxury Resort Home in the Yonahlossee Saddle Club, Spectacular Views, Hot Tub

This captivating Yonahlossee Resort home is the pinnacle of luxury!

Red Moose Inn, an incredible four bedroom home, is located in Yonahlossee Saddle Club, a private and gated community ideally located between the quaint mountain towns of Boone and Blowing Rock in western North Carolina. Nestled on a corner lot at 4000 elevation, this charming home provides guests with a 260-degree view of the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains. The home was designed so that views of the surrounding mountains are visible from almost every room!

Enjoy the ambiance of the spacious Great Room with massive leather sofas and recliners. The hardwood floors with Oriental area rugs, cedar paneling, custom book shelves with a collection of bestselling novels, large screen TV with Dolby digital surround sound, antique barley twist tables and appointments add to the warmth of this comforting area. The focal point of this extraordinary room is the colossal gas log fireplace with stacked stones reaching gracefully to the ceiling. Huge windows let in the breathtaking views. One is destined to become fascinated with the taxidermy and Fracé prints adorning the walls.

The fully equipped gourmet kitchen boasts granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, cherry cabinets, TV, pantry closet, and a built-in china cabinet. This area overlooks the dining room with a large eat-at bar. The capacious dining table with comfortable chairs and the picturesque bay window make for a perfect setting for family meals.

From the dining room, one can access the large deck complete with stainless steel gas grill and outdoor dining furniture. The accompanying captain chairs will prove to be the perfect place for savoring mountain views and watching wildlife cross the beautifully landscaped yard.

One of the Master suites is located on the main level. Unwind in the privacy of this roomy space with a queen bed, your own TV, deck access, skylight for star gazing, and ceiling fan suspended from a vaulted ceiling. The full bath and walk-in closet help make for a luxurious stay.

Follow the wide stairs from the foyer to the loft overlooking the great room. A sleeper sofa, big chair with ottoman, and a game table make this the idyllic retreat for reading, playing cards or a board game, or just absorbing the mountain views.

From the loft, one can enter the second master bedroom suite. Guests lucky enough to stay in this room are treated to a comfortable queen bed, tremendous views, a skylight, ceiling fan suspended from a beamed and vaulted ceiling, and a TV/DVD player. The decorative tiled bath features an over-sized circulating spa tub, a glass enclosed walk-in shower, double vanities, and an immense closet.

Two guest bedrooms, located on the lower level, share a spacious full bath. Guest bedroom one offers a king sized bed, TV/DVD player, private vanity, ceiling fan, walk-in closet, and magnificent views of the mountains. The second guest bedroom also provides a showy view and is equipped with two twin beds, an antique dresser, and a large closet making this room perfect for family or friends.

Imagine relaxing in the outside hot tub watching the sun set over the Blue Ridge Mountains. Adjoining the walkway to the hot tub is a 2 car garage that doubles as an entertainment center featuring a bar, refrigerator, and a ping pong table.

Memorable family vacation
The Red Moose Inn is even more impressive and comfortable than what is promised in the video. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations and the exquisite attention to every detail. It's location between Downtown Boone and Blowing Rock is ideal - perched atop an exclusive mountain community.

Weekend in the High Country
Centrally located between Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk, this home has all the finest amenities and space for a great vacation. Each bedroom is a suite and enjoys privacy with access to an amazing den area with tongue-and-grove hardwood and a stacked stone fireplace. This is one of the finer homes in the mountains. We highly recommend.

Excellent Vacation Home
Owners are extremely nice and the home speaks for itself. It is absolutely beautiful inside and out. It has spectacular views and relaxing in the hot tub was amazing! The house is decorated beautifully and it has every modern convenience you could ask for to make your stay as comfortable as possible! This is my family’s favorite vacation home in the mountains. This was our second stay here and I am sure there will be more in the future.

Fabulous!
We had a fabulous weekend at the Red Moose Inn. It was close to the slopes at Sugar Mountain and we were able to enjoy great restaurants and shopping in both Boone and Blowing Rock. The home was exceptionally clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. We hope to be back for another visit to enjoy the summer scenery!

Return visit as great as the first!
We came back to the Red Moose Inn for a second time after our girl's trip last year was such a great experience, and it was every bit as wonderful as the first time! The house is so comfortable and beautiful and 5 of us had more than enough space - and bathrooms! The view is breath-taking from the back deck which covers the length of the house. The kitchen is stocked with utensils and cookware and was a breeze to cook in. Easy access to Boone & Blowing Rock, but secluded enough to make you feel like you're away from it all. We'll be back next year!

Super clean, awesome view
We stayed at the Red Moose Inn over Labor Day weekend 2016. It was the perfect set-up for our 2 families. The home was way more than we expected.....the place was immaculate, the kitchen well stocked with anything that might be needed to prepare a meal, the furniture very comfortable and the view was amazing. It is also in a great location, very conveniently located to Appalachian State, restaurants, shopping and area tourist attractions. I have already recommended the home to my family, and am pleased to give a glowing review. Jan and Edwin were very attentive and a pleasure to work with. I hope we get the opportunity to return!

Excellent property
The house was immaculately clean and everything was exactly as advertised. Communication with the owners was easy. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds and other furniture were very comfortable. The quiet, gated neighborhood was easy to access and just a few minutes outside of Boone. Watch out for deer on the roads, though! The owner mailed us a key and we mailed it back after our stay. That was simple enough, but a little nonstandard based on our experience at other properties. Also, the owner required that we purchase insurance through VRBO and also send them a $300 damage deposit check (refundable) after booking. I've never had to do either of those at other properties, but there were definitely a TON of breakable items in the house. I wouldn't recommend if you have young children. For our group of four adults, this was an excellent property. We would definitely stay there again.

Spectacular and Comforting
Spacious, spotless, meticulous care into every detail in every room of the home. Our reservation was last minute and the owners were so gracious, accommodating, and made sure their home was ready and spotless for our arrival. Communication was instant and consistent once we booked our stay. It is evident that the owners take pride in their home and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay and they provided plenty of recommendations for great restaurants, shopping, and other activities. Each bedroom is a suite with televisions and with bathrooms. So much space yet cozy, and comfortable home centrally located (Boone, Blowing Rock, Sugar Mountain, Linville, Banner Elk) in a quiet, gated community. Easy to get to. We saw many deer in the community, which we loved, so drive slow so you don't miss them or hit them. Homes in this community are not on top of one another. Mountain views from the balcony and multiple rooms in the home are incredible. I wish we had more time to spend here and I would definitely stay here again. I recommend Stonewalls in Banner Elk for a nice dinner. Many thanks and appreciation to the owners for going above and beyond!

Luxurious Home in Great Location
This was the 6th or 7th summer my family had chosen a mountain getaway in the Boone/Blowing Rock area. There are certain specifications my family always has me search for when choosing a rental property, one being access to a pool for my teenage daughter and her friend. Well, believe me when I say this is very hard to find in the mountains. This was our first time staying at the Red Moose Inn and I will say it was much nicer than the 3 other properties we have stayed at in the past years. It will definitely be our first choice in the years to come! This gorgeous home is in a great location with exceptional views, extremely spacious and beautifully decorated. The owners have provided everything you could possibly need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Not only have they paid attention to every detail inside this lovely home, they are extremely pleasant to deal with and are truly committed to providing you with all the information you need and offer personal suggestions to help make your stay even more enjoyable. I cannot say enough about how much we truly enjoyed our stay at the Red Moose Inn and our appreciation to the owners for sharing their home with us. I would highly recommend booking a stay here and once you arrive, you will not want to leave. My entire family has already said that we will definitely be coming back again next year! We absolutely loved it!

Unpromised results
1st day we arrived there was a few inches of water in the bottom floor bath tub. The owner said to put some draino in it. The next day ALL the plumbing backed up in the house! We called the owner to be told that the house was inhabitable and we needed to call VRBO to find someone else to stay. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement! The owner tried everything they could, eventually by the end of the 2nd day a contractor came by and within an hour was able to find the problem. It was a frozen drain pipe. I would expect if we are paying this much money to rent a house the owner would stop.by the day before we arrived toake sure everything was working. This obviously didn't happen. Another frustrating issue was pulling up to the house and the driveway covered in snow when in fact it didn't even snow that day or subsequent days. I feel that this should of been clear upon our arrival. But our 2nd day was spent shoveling snow and dealing with plumbing issues! Not a fun vacation experience. The owner said that they would be giving us some sort of refund back from the Hot Tub and 1 nights stay due to the inconvenience we incured. To date we have not received a phone call back or seem anything refunded.

Immaculately kept
The Red Moose perfectly fit our needs for a few days near the many ski slopes in the area. Hats off to the both the owners and especially the housekeepers! The owners obviously take great pride in their home and have gone to a great deal of effort and expense to provide a homey, comfortable rental. Yes, this feels like someone's home, but we were very "at home" while there. The details with the moose-themed decor are rather entertaining, and we made a game with our six teenagers of counting the moose, the candlesticks, the bear, the deer, etc. in the house. The kitchen is amply supplied with everything needed and more; this was important as we cooked nearly all of our meals while there. I took along crock pots and some supplies not needed because this kitchen is so well stocked. Also, the garage was perfect for returning from skiing; we just dropped everything wet out there and didn't track into the house. Two notes of caution: This is NOT a home for small children. The decor is extensive - everywhere! I cannot imagine trying to keep little (or even middle school) hands off of everything. Older teens did fine, although one of them did comment that he felt like he was in a museum: "look, don't touch." (Again, the housekeepers for this property have their work cut out for them; and that they can keep it looking like a magazine picture all the time is amazing! I have no doubt they have been extensively trained by the owners as to the level of perfection expected.) Secondly, the driveway is made of some type of slate or stone that is VERY slippery! The owners give ample warning about clearing the snow & a "snow policy" is required to sign before even pulling onto the property. Smart. However, our conditions were only a bit of rain (and one day even dry), and the the (new, good tread) tires of both our vehicles slipped and squeaked & made horrible noises on that surface! It is a weird feeling to have tires slipping like that, and combined with the awful noises, you wonder if you are doing damage to either vehicle or driveway or if you will actually be able to pull up those slight inclines onto the street. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and certainly had all of our needs met (comfortable beds, plenty of bedding & towels, etc.). Views are spectacular. Much thought and detail has been put into this rental, and any guests would not be disappointed. Note: We did not use the hot tub nor the grill during our stay.

North Carolina natives, we love calling North Carolina home. A retired OB/GYN MD and nurse, we are the proud parents of 3 daughters and a spoiled Boston Terrier.

Why they chose this property

Red Moose Inn is the perfect getaway haven! Conveniently located between Boone and Blowing Rock this home is easy to access in a gated community. The elevation is approximately 4000 ft. and the views from the deck are breath taking and serene.

What makes this property unique

The views of the mountains are breath taking from practically every room in the house. Each season offers its own unique splendor. A convenient location that maintains a secluded mountain feel. It is great to sit on the deck and watch the deer and turkeys meander through the backyard. As you enter the gated community you will ride by the fenced in areas with beautiful horses that are boarded by the nearby stable.
