It's located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, just 1.5 miles from Chautauqua Institution. Enjoy the outdoors with a large lakefront deck, private dock, fire pit, and big open yard, all while taking in the beauty of Chautauqua lake and dramatic sunrises and sunsets. Inside you will find a remodeled kitchen, spacious LR and DR with stone fireplace, 2 bedrooms and a new bath. On the 2nd story there are 3 more bedrooms and 2 full baths. In total there are 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, hardwood floors throughout and beamed ceiling in LR.

Well suited to families - not a place for big or loud parties. Sleeps 9 adults comfortably. Rents Saturday to Saturday during summer - shorter stays available in off season. Wonderful week at the lake!

We had an amazing week at the lake! Susan was very responsive and helped us with any questions we had! The views of the lake were spectacular and the location of the house was very convenient! Will definitely stay again!

Family getaway

The house and all the facilities were great – it was the weather that was not so great. Susan was very helpful and concerned about our comfort. The kitchen was well equipped, so we did a lot of cooking. We'd love to revisit the house in warmer weather.

Mini getaway

We had a wonderful time at Susan’s place. We had beautiful views of the lake and the neighborhood was so beautiful for our daily walks. Location was great. The guys played golf . We toured a mansion in Westfield just a 15 minute drive from Susan’s place. Had lunch at a cute spot on the water also. Susan was a great host and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Annual visit to the lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Beautiful location and neighborhood. The accommodations were great and we had plenty of space for our entire family of 8 (seven adults and one grand child). The neighborhood was wonderful for walking, biking and trekking through the new nature trail (a big hit with our grandson!). The boat launch worked perfectly and so convenient right in the neighborhood. The outdoor space at the house is incredible. Fires in the evening were a highlight with star-filled skies and some shooting stars were an added bonus. The fishing from the end of the dock was great for us and the opportunity to have our boat right at the house with us made things very convenient. We would highly recommend this rental. The home owner was a delight to work with and was very attentive to our needs. Many thanks for a week filled with many new lake memories for our family!

The house and surroundings are attractive, quiet, and relaxing. When we encountered a problem, we reached the owner immediately and soon a local workman arrived and fixed it.

A wonderful place for family and friends to get together and relax

Susan is an awesome host making sure we were happy with everything with personal texts The house was warm and inviting Great Lake views from the rooms bright and open. We had a pretty spectacular lighting storm that we were able to watch inside from the large windowed room. Amazing. We did have a few rainy days but kept busy driving around the towns. It really is like Mayberry there. Great walking on Manor drive and great neighbors. The gentleman across the street brought us extra firewood. Bemus boys boat rental was the best. Overall I would say that the area The property and Susan are the best

Relaxing Family Vacation

Our vacation at Chautauqua was very enjoyable. The location is great - quiet street where the grandchildren were safe to bike and scooter as well as a large yard to accommodate their play. Fishing at the end of the dock was great for my grandson and his father. We brought our boat, the launch was convenient at the end of the road and the dock worked out great. The open floorplan made it easy for the whole family to be together. There were beautiful views from all of the rooms and they made perfect backdrops for our annual family pictures. The family also enjoyed midway, putt putt and the Institution. Susan was very responsive from the planning stage through our entire visit. Thank you for sharing your home! Hope to visit again next year.

Clean and Comfortable Stay

The house is very comfortable and clean with a very responsive and friendly owner who was accommodating to a larger group with small children. The house has an open living area with a beautifully updated kitchen. Big deck outside with a decently sized yard with plenty of shady trees. Everyone in our party had a very enjoyable time and the owner couldn’t have been more helpful and friendlier. Great location, within 10 minutes of a grocery store and many local sites. The house was equipped with everything we needed for the weekend.

Perfection on the water!

This home is absolutely gorgeous! Very comfortable accommodations, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful views, great boat dock for our boats, paddle board, playaks and so many games and puzzles for evening family time! The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful and Susan is an incredibly attentive host! We had our family for our annual trip to Chautauqua and will definitely be returning to this home. You can tell a lot of love has gone into this place! Highly recommend!

Classic, Cozy Cottage on Chautauqua

The cottage is lovely, the location is lovelier, and the host is the loveliest! The shaded setting and quiet location of this cozy home are ideal. The dock is perfect for mooring your personal boat overnight, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed fishing and swimming off of the dock. The home is kid-friendly and very comfortable. A hammock, two kayaks and a paddle board were available for use during our stay. The kitchen is newly renovated and the deck and fire pit are perfectly suited for our daily “family gathering” of four adults and three children. Bed linens, fluffy bath towels and even swim towels are provided. The main floor is climate controlled and although the second floor is not and grew toasty during the day, the evening breeze through open, screened windows cooled it sufficiently. Susan, the owner, is an absolute gem. She clearly has poured her heart into this home, and I can tell it holds many cherished summer memories for her, as it now does for us. Thank you, Susan, for your gracious hospitality, and we look forward to another stay next year!

Family gathering; extended stay

This property is incredibly scenic, welcoming, and provides wonderful amenities. We were guests for three weeks, allowing our extended family of children, their spouses, significant others and two grandchildren to leisurely visit. The home has a wonderful spacious kitchen with top end appliances. Open floor plan allows the entire family to visit and relax. The house is on the western side of Lake Chautauqua, which ensures bright sunrises and the opportunity to enjoy the afternoon and evening sunset while gazing out at the Lake. The Lake is spectacular and can be enjoyed from the spacious deck. New Weber grill is wonderful. The home comfortably accommodated our large group, with 5 BR (3 up, 2 down); 3 full baths (2 up, 1 down). A/C is available on the first floor; fans and windows allow for breezes throughout the second floor. Being on the lake assures a steady cooling breeze. The house is on a private road that limits though traffic and allowed the children to play at ease. The house is well situated within a short walk/ride to the Chautauqua Institute, which we visited often. We found lots to do in the area that appealed to all age groups: beaches, playgrounds, putt-putt, restaurants and shops, even elite college baseball in nearby Jamestown! Fantastic Host and Great House

This is a perfect lake house for a family. Plenty of space to stretch out, great outdoor area, nice fire pit and dock, beautiful yard. The kitchen is really well-stocked with everything you could possibly need, plenty of towels, super clean. Really couldn't be happier with our experience. Susan was just so wonderful, she made sure that we knew everything about the house, where everything was, and when it rained she made sure we knew where the board games were! She was also incredibly flexible around booking (our dates were up in the air) and she even offered to let us stay an extra day because the weather was bad (which obviously isn't her fault). Just a fantastic experience, facilitated by a wonderful host. If I'm ever in the area again I will be staying at this house (if it's available).

Loved the Green House on the Lake!

This was a perfect spot for our group of 4 couples! The remodeled kitchen is well appointed and great for cooking big meals for our group. We loved eating on the back deck and the big back yard with beautiful shade trees for escaping the hot afternoon sun. The dock was perfect for launching our paddle boards we brought and the two kayaks that come with the house. Overall, it was a great low key spot for friends to come together to celebrate our anniversary and hang out during these crazy times.
