My wife and I stayed at the Phoenix 2 days and nights to get on the beach. Yes this hotel is on the beach but was not what we expected. The hotel is next to a restaurant and large public parking lot making unfortunate noisy neighbors. The beach is very nice there and that plus the reasonable price is the only reasons I gave it 2 stars. There are several reasons to reduce the star rating tho. The living space was small, I mean really small. The worst part of our experience was in the master restroom. Red flags started waving immediately upon entering the restroom and seeing a plunger conspicuously placed near the toilet along with a distinct fecal odor! I flushed the toilet, only to confirm my suspicions as the water would not flush. I will spare you the details of what backed up as the waters exit was apparently blocked. Plunging the toilet is not my idea of the way to start a beach vacation get away. The restroom was riddled with mold, on the shower curtain, above the fiberglass shower, and on the tile floor next to the shower. Gross. The stains in the tub made bathing too unappealing to consider. I will never stay at this facility again and neither should anyone else until this condo is re mediated.
