About this property

Come and unwind at our newly renovated, cozy cottage. We are Located just 2 blocks from the beach and Kids Corner and with in walking distance to downtown.

There are four bedrooms. One has a queen sized bed. The 2nd bedroom has a twin bed. The 3rd bedroom has a Daybed also with a pull out trundle. The 4th bedroom, (which is located downstairs) has two twin beds and one pull out trundle. Max of 8 occupants.

Kitchen has most everything you will need to prepare meals: pots, pans, some small appliances and cooking utensils.

Great Proximity for the Price

Excellent location for the price, within a short walk to Kids Corner and South Beach! Cleanliness is the biggest complaint, surfaces were grimy and this cottage could use a deep cleaning. Ample space for a family of 4, parents get the queen bed and two kids rooms on main level. I'd encourage the home owner to fix the front deck/stairs, some of the boards were about to fall off and exposed nails were present.

Perfect getaway

Just like in pictures. Super nice neighborhood very close to the beach and town. Owners were very responsive to all our questions and concerns. Some reviews said there was no washing machine, but there was a washer and dryer. It may have been added after. Would for sure stay again if ever back in the area.

Cute house

Comfortable home for a small family. Great location. Owners are accommodating. Only downsides were no curtains in master bedroom ( we like it dark) and no laundry available. Overall a cute place and great trip!!

Great family place

Great little cottage. Bathroom is beautifully remodeled and nice and clean. We enjoyed walking to kids corner and the beach, easy walk with sidewalks the whole way. We even took advantage of some great family games and movies when a little rain hit. Owners were very responsive. Thanks!

Close to lake

Overall, our stay was a good one. The property was clean, had everything we needed to cook, etc.. The cottage is close to the lake and only about a mile from town. We walked there nightly which was nice. The property is decorated very nicely...I almost felt like the pictures didn’t do it justice. The bathroom is very small but much nicer than the pictures online show. The kitchen is dated and doesn’t have a dishwasher but we didn’t mind. The two reasons for my three star review...the listing stated it had a washer and dryer and there wasn’t one available. This was a major error. The owner was available to answer any of our questions and even offered to pay for us to use a laundromat in town, but we specifically booked a place that had a washer/dryer available. This was a huge inconvenience since we had packed extremely light for our trip. We didn’t go on vacation to spend it at the laundromat. Plus, taking a two year old and four year old there isn’t exactly fun either. Second, we felt like there was a pet odor in the home especially the carpeted room / couches. We don’t have pets so maybe we were more sensitive to it than most- and like I said- the home was clean- but it did smell like pets. Overall- would we stay there again?!? Maybe. I’d probably look for a place with a washer /dryer because that’s important to us and ask about pets in the home. If those things aren’t important to you then I’d recommend this place to you. We experienced no other issues. Also- There is only one small TV in the entire cottage. No Wifi or cable. We didn't mind as we don't watch much TV even at home but for those who might go expecting cable or Wifi, this is not the home for you.

Perfect location, cute cottage!

The house is the perfect location. We never drove the car after we arrived! It is easy walking distance to the beach and 2 playgrounds. It is within walking distance to town with lots of restaurants and shops. The house is well kept with beautiful decor. The screened in porch with picnic table was perfect for keeping the mess outside. Thanks!

We bought our cottage because we had to move away from South Haven because of work. We came back to South Haven to live because the community is unlike any other. We since have moved out of our cottage and live full time in South Haven.

Why they chose this property

We love our neighborhood because it's a quiet street. Families play in the street and Kids Korner and the beach is just two blocks away. If you want to walk to town, it's an easy mile walk.
