Different than expected

Excellent location. Owner readily available to answer questions. In other rentals over the years, we expected less personal items throughout the house. Due to the private nature the trees provided (a plus) in the pool area, perhaps twice weekly cleaning would have made it more useable. Lack of window coverings made us a little uncomfortable and cleanliness could be improved. (cobwebs and dust). Inappropriate bathroom reading material should not have been left out. Kitchen was a delight to work in, but replacement or cleaning of dining room chairs would be recommended. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Sarasota.

Quirky vibe on a quiet street.

Located on the bay side of Tamiami Trail between the two bridges to Siesta Key. The street is quiet, and the property feels remarkably cloistered for a small lot. Heated pool surrounded by 30' bamboo which rustle and clack in the breeze while one searches for the Crouching Tiger or Hidden Dragon in their tops. The house itself has two bedrooms, one ensuite, and one a few steps from a full bath with laundry attached. A large kitchen with dining table and quite large sectional couch are comfortable and well provisioned (including a large herb/spice cabinet and pull out pantry with some oils vinegars etc.). A living room with an even larger sectional, a large screen tv and a humongous piano. The pool is solar heated, and when we were there the pool was at 92 degrees in the evening. A local racoon took an early morning dip one day. The house is filled with objects that seem like clutter at first but end up interesting and entertaining, plus books and photos that either reveal something about the owner or offer the opportunity to create an entertaining fiction about them. We found the floors dusty/dirty, but otherwise the house seemed clean. The local manager was helpful but really we did not need much to feel comfortable. There is a nearby Trader Joe's and some small nearby (walking distance) eateries, including a Levantine restaurant at the end of the street and Walt's, a renowned and crowded fish restaurant a block or two north on Tamiani Trail.

Wonderful Sarasota home

We loved this wonderful home just minutes from America's #1 beach. The home had lots great amenities. It was beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the full sized heated pool. The house is on a quite dead end street, which was nice. The big bearded dude across the street was helpful questions also. If I had to make one suggestion, I'd get a gas grill instead of the electric. The electric just doesn't get hot enough. Overall, it was a wonderful spot. Hopefully we can make it back someday.

Absolutely loved it!

Best family vacation to Florida in over 10 years! We were not familiar with this portion of Florida prior to booking the trip and found it to be amazing! The house was perfect for my young family (two children). It was conveniently located near Siesta Key and the pool was the perfect retreat after entertaining the kids in the morning with either the beach or some other local activities (Mote Aquarium or Big Cat Sanctuary)! The house was easy to maintain and cleanup and we were able to easily eat both indoors and outdoors. Thanks for the amazing trip and we are looking forward to staying again!

Beautiful home and pool, owner has great taste. That is the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in!

Very inviting home, beautiful pool and not a far drive from restaurants, beaches, and bars. We cooked when we felt like it in the fully equipped kitchen and went out to eat at one of the many local restaurants or bars when we didn't. (Only complaint there is the grill was neither gas or charcoal but electric. Basically an outside hot-plate haha) The inside is decorated with great taste and there are several different areas to lounge and hang out. (Could have used more curtains to cover the windows but wasn't too overly exposed) Overall it was all very comforting and a far superior experience than any hotel stay could have been.
