Amazing and beautiful long weekend in the mountains
We had a phenomenal time at Alan’s mountain home. We skied 2 days, we easily walked to the lift and came home for lunch and went back out. It is so nice to not have to get in your car with the gear. The house is huge and had everything we needed. We had 3 families with young children and we all slept well, felt safe and made amazing family memories. The hot tub was such an amazing experience after a long day of skiing. The kids loved the warm hottub while the snow fell on their heads. We highly recommend!
Allegheny Trailrunners stayed here for the Rock 'N The Knob Trail Challenge at nearby Blue Knob. This is our second stay in two years and will return. Great location for our staff.
We were in the area to volunteer/run at a trail race. This was the perfect location, and a great place to relax and recharge after a full day of activities. We would definitely stay here again!
We have stayed at this house many times and enjoy it very much. Owner has made some improvements in the last year and was very responsive to our requests.

This was a great property that fit our needs. We loved the house and may have to return under better circumstances instead of a funeral. The host was gracious enough to allow us to have the 2 dogs of which we were very thankful for. Even though there was no air conditioning, there were plenty of fans throughput the house. That deck was also very pleasant to sit on with those great tall trees for shade
Loved our stay! The house was pretty clean, despite some bad reviews, and the house was bigger than we expected. Not a ski in ski out but an easy walk to the end of the street and you’re there! Loved being only 1 mile away from the Clubhouse food and live music and the ski conditions were good. Hot tub was wonderful after a long day on slopes, exactly what we were looking for in a ski house 2 hours from Pittsburgh!
We rented this house with our daughters and their families. Plenty of room for all of us and enough for more!! The house was clean and comfortable. Beautiful location. Loved the hot tub. While the winding road is an adventure...it is also part of the charm and experience.
We had a great stay at this house. The hot tub was excellent. The house was beautiful. All the main amenities. 3 full bedrooms plus kids room.
The house could use an overall freshening up: pillows, closets with oddball items, kitchen food/supply items.
Other than that, highly recommend it.
Alan has a nice place with lot of space and adequate sleeping furniture. There is a good propane fired grill on the deck apart from a fire pit plus some nice views around. You can walk to the ski slope which is about 300 ft away. Verizon signal is on and off and cellular internet is weak. Inhouse wifi internet is good though and makes up for it. The air is super fresh!

If that was considered clean I hate to see what dirty was.
I wouldn't stay in that place again if it was free..Broken furniture, hair in sink, dirty toilets, broken steps outside. I can't believe they could rent this place

The experience was nice & beautiful location. The house has a lot of potential but Very outdated. Stove was broken, dishwasher ran for 3 hours, beds very hard & uncomfortable. And the fact there is no ac I’m so happy we came when we did in the year & not in the middle of summer.
I was just looking at pictures of our 5 days at Cedar Haus. They reveal just how much fun the grandchildren had on the slopes, at the house, and in the hot tub. Alan was an excellent communicator, and he even did us a great favor that we appreciated. Many of the reviews that say the house is not the cleanest are correct, however in no way did it diminish the joy of staying there. The kids just loved the kids room, while the 6 adults had very private bedrooms. We even managed seating 10 around the dinner table meant for 8. The kitchen is small, but more than adequate. We made some great meals. The place is not perfect, but when you consider the size and layout of Cedar Haus and the closeness to the ski area {2 minute walk}, I recommend it highly. Thank you, Alan for a great adventure.
Big house in beautiful mountain location with lots of room for family. Two refrigerators, lots of cooking utensils, toilet paper and towels and a hot tub.
My bad for not catching that there was no central AC. Although there were several fans, the house was hot! Basement bathroom needs work, toilet wobbled and didnt flush properly. We were really excited about pingpong, but the table was held up with chairs and styrofoam and the garage floor was filthy!! We cleaned it and also filled the propane tank.
Overall, no frills but space.
I really enjoyed my stay here at this property. For the price that we pay we got our money's worth. Don't really have any complaints besides the fact that we could not connect to the Wi-Fi. But our phone service was very spotty but it was usable. Had plenty of space. We brought our own sheets and bedding and towels and things of that nature but they were some provided for us that we did not use. The house was very private and spacious. It did not have air condition so if you go when it's very hot it may be a little warm but they did have fans and things of that nature. But it's pretty cool because you're in the middle of the woods. For the price that we paid I would definitely stay here again. Very nice community. House was pretty clean It wasn't five Star hotel clean but we had no complaints we always carry Clorox wipes and things that nature where we go. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for inexpensive place to stay that is very peaceful and private.
Is a cool cabin, hot tub was clean, has potential and is unique! Saw reviews that it wasn't the cleanest, and definitely wasn't and needed some TLC... Honestly best thing for it is to hire a good cleaning crew and pay them more, the guests pay for that anyway! Bathrooms were nice and clean at least, but found something rotting in cabine
