Went for Cooperstown Baseball Tournament & the location was perfect. The condition of the property & home we frankly concerning. The pictures that were advertised were nothing like the reality not to mention what they charged. They need to do major renovations & frankly fix things so that all the "amenities" are working. I would say false advertising and price gouging on this one.

Pictures need to be updated on this place!
We stayed there when my son play the Cooperstown dream park location is excellent for Cooperstown dreams park three driveways away however the place is quite rundown outside and inside, if you have anybody that is elderly with you or handicap you must access the property by two very steep large flights of stairs for the third floor also the second-floor .The second-floor bedroom headboard was broke my niece who is four fell through the headboard the room that they say is off the second-floor bedroom was so dirty and full of bugs we could not use it. Upstairs there were no fire alarms in any of the floors. the bathrooms were dirty and cobwebs I had to go out to the store and buy bathroom cleaning products to clean the bathrooms tubs showers and the pictures that they show online are very old grass was not mowed there is a nice pool however surrounded by so much overgrown shrubbery you cannot really see it. we encountered bats one in the washer and one flying around in the third bedroom apartment kitchen definitely was not cleaned the host and his family live in the main floor and basement, there was a lot of people we didn’t know coming and going all the time in the Property for a close place to stay to Cooperstown dream park it’s great I would not recommend it our family will have stories to tell about this place for many years
I ended up booking this place when another VRBO cancelled on me. I wasn’t too picky as I was trying to get a place to stay at the last minute during my son’s baseball tournament.
This location is EXECELLENT if you are going to Cooperstown Dreams Park. It is right across the street! So convenient because if you are a parent or fan you end up with downtime in between games. There is not a lot to do at the baseball park so most times we came back and hung out at the house during breaks. There are a couple of restaurants nearby and a grocery store that is only a couple of minutes away. The actual town of Cooperstown (where the hall of fame is) is a 10-15 minute drive. There are lots of cute shops and restaurants there.
Rob was a friendly and helpful host. He was open to us having parents and players from our team over which was so nice! Other places I saw do not allow this. Sadly, most days we had games during the evening and it also rained a lot so we ended up not having a team gathering. This would be an amazing place for it though! We did have the parents come over for appetizers and drinks before a couple of the games and that was really nice too!
This is a very spacious place with lots of sleeping space. It was more than we needed because two people from our group stayed at Dreams Park most of the time, so we were very comfortable. This is an older kind of “Victorian style” home. It feels kind of like going to your grandmother’s house - think lots of lace and dried flowers. I imagine maintaining a house like this is a labor of love! It is truly a unique property and experience!
This was a great place close to Cooperstown dreams park. Pool and wiffle ball for the kids while we enjoyed the space. Plenty of room and owner was great.

Great location for Cooperstown Dreams Park but place needs work
This house has a lot of potential to be a fabulous place to stay. It is an old house and has a lot of room, which is extremely nice. There are three bathrooms, all three showers have their "quirks" and issues...not the easiest to take a shower in any of them. In my opinion, the entire place needs to be cleaned better...a bit on the dirty side. The entire place needs more attention and TLC. We were there in late July and there was a Christmas tree (fully decorated) standing in one of the rooms. Some sheets and towels had holes. The furniture is not the most comfortable. There are a lot of stairs, so this is not the place for people with mobility issues. It was an adventure, that's for sure.

Maple Shade Review
I've known the Crampton family for many years and have attended several events/gatherings at their home. Maple Shade is a very well run business and their house is not only welcoming and inviting, but provides for so much history to be seen on their fine family walls. There is a laid back atmosphere and it is not uncommon to see guest lounging in chairs in the backyard on evenings chatting and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
