We provide Beach Chairs, Towels & Boogie Boards. It is truly the "Best of Both Worlds. Versatile space: Rent the Upstairs with 3 King Bedrooms & 2 Baths that Sleeps 9 (shown here) or add 1st Floor for an additional Kitchen & Greatroom with Sleeper Sofa and a extra King Bedroom + additional 1.5 Baths for and extra 5 Guests.
Great Downtown location only half mile stroll to St George Street, the center of the Historic District, and 3 miles to the beach this 2017 Remodel combines the Old World charm of Heart of Pine Wood Floors & 1919 Claw Foot Tub with the NEW look of Marble and Glass.
The Great room with Large Smart TV (4 TVs in all) has plenty of seating with a Leather Queen Sleeper Sofa + Love Seat & 2 Swivel Chairs. It features a unique 2 Headed Revolving Fan you will love and gorgeous original gray hand stained Heart Of Pine Floors.
The Kitchen is from my old Homestead in Tennessee. The cabinets are Poplar. They were originally built over 50 years ago and even at that time the wood was antique. Supposedly these Poplars died out long ago and you cannot buy the wood any more. My Father found it when they were tearing down an old Elementary School in my home town of Shelbyville Tennessee (Walking Horse Capital of the World if you have heard of us). I always loved them as a child. So when I heard they were tearing down my homestead I had to save them. I have spent hours restoring them. I hope you will appreciate them and an Old Farm Sink which I salvaged. The is a New SOAP STONE Counter Island for extra seating and a Handmade Butcher Block Coffee Bar. New Stainless Appliances. Lovingly White Washed Pine Ceiling. Unique Dining Table with Lazy Susan + another Revolving Fan.
There are 3 Bedrooms. All with King Beds, Smart TVs & Fee Wifi.
The Master with Private Bath was originally a Sleeping Porch. I enclosed it, raised it and added Light Pine Floors. It has a King Bed + a Fold-down Sofa for extra Sleeping or relaxing. The Bath is all Marble Floors and Glass. I fell in love with the Spa Glass Doors and used them to the Bath and Closet and carried the Glass look into the Shower with floor to ceiling Subway Glass Tiles. The Vanity is Marble topped with unique retro Faucet. There is large Marble floor Closet with room for a Pack-N-Play, available upon request.
Bedroom 2 has a similar walk in closet and shares a bath with Bedroom 3. Both have King Beds! I have learned what you want. (I agree after one night on a King it is hard to go back).
The Bath has the "Original" Claw Foot Tub stamped with a 1919 date. We added a shower option for your convenience but let me suggest you try a bubble bath. My Husband & I only do "Baths" Try it. This is the time to relax. You are on vacation! I hope you enjoy the "Blue" Night Lightt, very soothing, and the Marble Floors.
There is a Laundry on the first floor with Linens & Towels provided.
Outside is a private Paver Patio with Dining and romantic String Lights overhead. The Grill that can go Gas or Charcoal. And we provide Beach Chairs, Towels and Boogie Boards.
2 Parking Spots in the Alley and unlimited parking on Lemon Street with a paved lite sidewalk along the side of the house leading to the Guesthouse.
Optional 1ST FLOOR SECRET GARDEN (See More Options at the bottom of this listing)
If you think you need more space the 1st Floor Secret Garden can be rented separately with its own Outdoor Space. Nothing is shared (1 Bedroom 1.5 Bath).
The floors are beautiful White Marble throughout. It includes a second Greatroom with Smart TV and Queen Sleeper Sofa. Fully stocked Kitchen made from the same Tennessee Poplar. A Second Laundry.
There is a Half Bath in the Greatroom for Guests and a Huge Master Bedroom with Private Marble Bath, of course a King Bed plus a roll-out Single Trundle. Great for a "Little One". There is also a giant Walk-in Closet with room for Pack N Play. You will recognize my beloved Glass Spa Doors like upstairs and this time a Marble & Glass Shower with removable Hand-Held Shower Head. The Vanity is Marble with Twin Sinks and loads of hooks.
A frosted mural glass door leads to a private "Secret Garden" with a second Grill and Covered Dining area. So you can have 2 private outdoor spaces. And it has a dedicated Parking spot in the Alley which makes a total of 3 dedicated Parking Spots.

LOCATION
We are located Downtown at 67 1/2 Lemon St only 5 miles to my favorite beach called St Augustine Beach just south of Anastasia Park over the Bridge of Lions. There is plenty of parking & public restrooms + amazing Restaurants. Even a great Farmer Market on Wednesdays and in the Summer FREE Wednesday night outdoor concerts! The sand is perfect for building Sand Castles. The waves are great for Surfing. We provide Boogie Boards or you can rent Surf Boards and take lessons or rent bikes at A Street. Towels and Beach Chairs provided.
You should also check out Vilano Beach just 3 miles to the north. Be sure and have Happy Hour at Caps on the Intracoastal and sit outside in the open seating to the far right and watch the sun set. Definitely worth the drive.
But you will find so much to do Downtown you will probably only go the Beach the first day. Downtown is a world all its own. Simply Charming. Especially at night with the lights twinkling and the sound of music filling the streets. Great Restaurants. Great History. Great People. All walking distance from your door. What more do you want? My name is Linda Bayles. I have been a Realtor in the Jacksonville/St Augustine area ranking in the Top 1% of Agents since 1998. In 2005 I walked into a 1926 beach cottage direct oceanfront on St Augustine Beach and knew I had found my calling. I wanted to 'Create' a vacation space for Families. Large extended families. A place were Cousins, Grandmothers, Uncles and Aunts can comfortably come together to reconnect and enjoy each other away from the demands of the outside world. I come from a large family of 5 children as does my husband, Brad. Some of my fondest memories are when we all got together to just 'hang out' for 3 or 4 days. The little ones always come up with a 'play'. The adults always congregate in the Kitchen passing down the 'Family Recipes' to the next generation and playing Games. We are a big Game playing family. Specifically Rummikub. We start them at 5 and My Mother is still going at 95. If you have never played, you must. I make sure there is one in each house. Once you are hooked and have one of your own, I hope you will think of your St Augustine stay every time you play.
So I bought that 1926 Craftsman, gutted it and turned it into The Chautauqua which sleeps 21. It has been a rewarding success. In 2011, my Father expanded the tradition and bought 4 homes on one Oceanfront compound on 9th Street. We could not believe our luck and spent the next year remodeling them into The Seaside Cottages. We started renting them in June of 2012. The Best part is not only the homes but the BEACH. There are only 18 streets on the “Best Beach” - No cars. No Catwalk. The ocean right at your door. Great Restaurants within walking distance. Amazing.
And then I discovered the charm of Downtown St Augustine. At night it is like strolling in an old European City. So in 2016 I decide to moved Downtown and renovated 4 more Downtown Vacation Rentals. Ranging from 1 to 4 Bedrooms all walking distance of St George Street, the Center of Historic Downtown and all the Restaurants, Sights and Music and only 2 blocks from each other. Great for Downtown Weddings with the Bride taking one house and the Groom the other.

You can google 'Buyers Agent' to get an overview of the difference. I think it is big. Just ask yourself the question, Would I want the other sides Attorney to represent me too? That's it in a nutshell but the amazing thing is, unlike Attorneys, it does not cost you anything to have your OWN Realtor representing just YOUR interest. We are all paid by the Seller. So ....
