Quiet neighborhood and great communication

We traveled here to witness the 2024 eclipse. We did not travel outside the house much to avoid crowds and delays that happened with that event. The house is well maintained and cleaned. We liked the location and there is a lovely playground and walking trail very close to the house which my kids loved. There is plenty of space for everyone in the house and a nice sized yard. The host is great with communication and gives a lot of suggestions for local destinations. She was texting with me weeks before the trip and gave great instructions.

Awesome stay even better host

Jill was one of the best hosts I’ve ever had. She was super thorough with communicating, the check-in process, and even put together a wonderful gift basket. She also provided a detailed list of restaurants and activities in the area. Her recommendations did not disappoint, you’ve got to try the light house! This home was super spacious and perfect for the six of us. The view from the deck is amazing and provides the perfect environment for stargazing. 10/10 would recommend!

Great quiet home away from home!

Our group needed a weekend place other than the usual hotel. This was clean, quiet & provided some beautiful views from the balconies! Would recommend to anyone with up to 10 people to sleep.

Wow! What a great house

House was impeccable. Extremely clean and comfortable. Owner was extremely communicative and everything was so easy. Plenty of parking, comfortable beds and the Village of Briarcliff is so much fun! Played golf at Willie Nelson’s cut-n-putt. #1 weirdest golf courses in America Lighthouse Marina and Restaurant was a short walk and don’t get me started on Poodie’s. Would definitely stay there again

Briarcliff Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this property, which perfectly fit our needs. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. The property is pet friendly, which is why we selected it. The house is close to the marina, and a local restaurant. It is also just a few miles from Pace Bend Park where you can drive right up to the water and swim. We would definitely book again.

Highly recommend for a lake getaway!

The host, Jill, was extremely diligent to communicate check in details, directions with added restaurant and activity recommendations before/during our stay. She was attentive to detail and delightful to talk with and even had a welcome basket with lots of goodies waiting for us upon arrival. The house was exactly as pictured with plenty of space and a great view of the area. Jill was highly attentive to detail (thought to leave apples for us in the fridge to feed the deer) and even allowed for a late check out which was a huge plus for our group. On top of all that, after leaving an item behind at the house, she was quick to place it in the mail. Overall, great host, house and weekend - highly recommend!

Family Friendly!

The property was quiet, very clean, and well stocked. It was close to a number of things to do and Jill, the property contact person, was wonderful. She had great suggestions for entertainment and was prompt with instructions on check in and check out. She even found our youngest grandaughter's missing stuffed bear and is mailing it back to us!! Kudos Jill, you went above and beyond to ensure we had a good visit with family. There were several deer that came by each day. The decks were fun for the grandkids and were surrouned by a railing that kept them safe. We had six grandkids and four adults staying there and there was plenty of room, enough towels and hot water for everyone to shower and the kitchen was well stocked. The house as a whole was very clean and the bathrooms were spotless. Thanks Jill for all your efforts to think of the small things and to make us feel welcome!

This home was perfect ! So clean has everything you need! Jill is an amazing host and has thought of everything! The views are breathtaking. It is extremely quiet and has free roaming deer! Will always stay here while in Spicewood.

New year’s relaxing weekend

Great memories were made!

We loved our stay in Spicewood! The area is beautiful, the house is so cute and perfect for hanging out and relaxing! Jill was simply fabulous from the first message time we connected to our last message where she offered to mail us some clothes we forgot. She had a fully stocked coffee bar, snacks, apples in the fridge for the deer. She gave us great recommendations for a kid friendly places where adults can have fun too. It was perfect and just what we needed. We hope to make an annual trip to Spicewood!!

Great family get away!

We thought the property was perfect! Very calm, and well-appointed, restaurants and shopping were still close by, but the calm of the hills and the lake remained. Wonderful contact with the host Jill throughout our stay, and little surprises along the way. WE Will be BACK!!

Pictures and title are deceptive and misleading

All pictures make you think this is a lake house, but it is not - it is a house on a hill and even though they say they have a yard, you don't really, only a couple of chairs in the back. The balcony is very uncomfortable as the wood beams are at eye level and there is no view. I was expecting to go kayaking, the host led me on by telling me to bring shoes for the mollusks, but did not tell me it would be impossible to bring the kayaks to the water!!! I am disappointed with all the deceptive images on the listing making this house appear as though it was on the lake when it is not Shame on them. Will never return

A dream getaway!

Amazing amazing amazing! If I could give 100 stars I would! Best experience ever with a host staying at a home away from home… communication, details, flexibility, everything! As soon as we booked Jill was sending over information and expectations, areas to visit, what to bring ( just beach chairs, watershoes) however the home had almost everything you can think of to make your stay smooth and an actual vacation. Thanks Jill for your warm hospitality, and for making our family quality time so memorable at your place! I am looking forward to coming back with my parents on the next visit.

My family and I moved to Texas 14 years ago and fell in love with Spicewood. It is a unique area with so much natural beauty and the people here are THE best! Lake Travis and Pace Bend Park are so close and my boys LOVE to fish. The rolling hills and great hiking and biking trails keep my family busy. My family consists of myself, my husband, 2 sons, and our 2 furry canine kids.. Tank and Crystal.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I fell in love with this adorable Lake House and purchased it in 2014. We improved and updated the home for long term renters to enjoy, but quickly decided to offer it as a short term rental since it is so close to the Lake and our friends all agreed that it is the perfect getaway!. We have used VRBO for our personal vacations and love it. We hope that you enjoy "The Best Little LAKE House in Texas" as much as we do!

What makes this property unique

This Lake View Home has 2 private decks to enjoy amazing lake views and gorgeous sunsets. It offers 3 levels with the master bedroom on the top level. It has its own private deck with lake travis views. This home is a pier and beam style so lots of room under the house for storage or a jet ski/boat parking etc. The kitchen is large with stainless steel appliances and a double oven to cook for a large family. The area is very quiet and suitable for families with a park and playground minutes away. Briarcliff has it all...a marina to rent boats or launch your own...Willie Nelsons golf course..Pace Bend Park for fishing, hiking, floating/biking etc. and plenty of restaurants and bars to keep everyone entertained! You are only 35 minutes from Austin if you want to explore!
