About this property

This beautiful two bedroom and two and a half bathroom villa has lots of updates! The kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped with everything your family needs. The living room and dining areas have been tastefully updated and feature wood floors throughout with the living room providing a slider to the private balcony. The Primary suite consists of a king bed, flat screen tv and private sitting area with a built-in wine cooler. The en-suite and spacious Primary bathroom has a double vanity and tiled walk-in shower. The guest bedroom consists of a queen bed with TV. The guest bathroom has been updated with a tiled tub and shower combination. Located within the Shelter Cove Harbour section of Palmetto Dunes, the Marina with all of its restaurants, shops and activities will be at your fingertips. This vacation rental is pet-friendly between October 1 through March 31 for an additional charge. No pets are permitted between April 1 through September 30. Our pet policy only allows one dog per rental unit with a maximum weight of 40 pounds. Other restrictions may apply.

Great condo for couple with young adult child

Definitely designed more for relaxing than cooking. Nice kitchen but very small. This worked fine for us! The pool for this property is unkempt and the shuttle service was a bit unprofessional.

Beautiful Unit and Great Location

There is a tunnel to cross under hwy. 278. The bedrooms and washer/dryer are on the 2nd floor and the stairway is narrow. You must be able to climbs stairs with ease.I was very happy staying here.

Nice condo in a great location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is nice with an updated feel. It now has regular steps instead of a spiral, but be careful as the steps are still steep, so older clientele should be aware. We knew about the regular steps but weren't aware of how steep and tight they were until we got there. Some general maintenance needs to be addressed (smell only from kitchen HVAC vent, dust noted within HVAC vents, flickering light in master bath, leaking/rusted handle in master sink, leaking shower head in master). The building is dated, but the property is well maintained, except the elevators which seem to always have at least one down every year we stay (the last 2 years have been the same elevator, which happened to be the one closest to this condo).

We had thanksgiving dinner in the condo so the kitchen was stocked to meet our needs. Great outdoor sitting area. We tried to reserve this for Christmas but it was already booked. Comfortable quiet and well-appointed and did I mention the central location to all Shelter cove has to offer??? Loved my stay here.thanks for letting us bring our dog!!!

Great Location

Reviewer Comments: The pros of our stay -- 1 - perfect location to walk to restaurants, shops & water activities2 - very close to a shopping center with grocery store, a local park, more restaurants & shops3 - in Oct parking at the unit was not a problem and easy drive to the Pickleball courts4 - Walking around marina/water area was wonderful morning & evening 5 - this was one of the few rentals accepting pets, very grateful6 - a basic package of bath towels & toiletries, kitchen towels, paper towels, dishsoap & sponge were includedThe cons - 1 - I don't think the owners are getting their moneys worth from the cleaning service. There was toothpaste on the master sink, dusty/dirt hanging off the sofa & I wouldn't use the washer because when I opened the door, it was musty with water, gunk & even a penny sitting in the gasket. Please know these weren't deal breakers for me, but I was disappointed and have pics if the owner is interested and I was charged a pretty hefty cleaning fee upon booking. We travel alot & have seen this stuff before, but I thought this was a pricey rental to have these issues.2 - the wood steps to the second floor are narrow & anyone with mobility issues needs to be cautious, the handrail is solid but I wanted to point that out3 - during off season you pay a resort fee, but there is no shuttle & trying to park at the Dunes House for beach access was impossible4 - I signed up for Palmetto Dunes text service but never received one message during our week long stay. On the last day, through another guest, I found out there may have been an "on-call" shuttle we could've used -- it would've been nice to get that info in a text or email.5 - The listing should state they have a traditional coffee maker. We brought K cups, but found ourselves in the grocery store buying a 50 pack coffee filter (smallest available)& coffee. We left the extras there.6-The overflow parking is also for people coming

Great Vacation Spot

The condo is updated and well maintained. Shelter Cove is full of activities and the proximity to the pool was important for our daughter. There is parking at the beach but spots are limited - with some patience, we got a spot every day at various times throughout the day. Hilton Head is a great family vacation spot and this unit is close to many shops, restaurants, and lots of activities!

It was like this was her first day on the job. The direction to the unit was not very good, we had to spend quite a bit of time locating the unit.

Updated Villa but too many things gone wrong

Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with the Management Property at Palmetto Dunes; we initially were given the paperwork to go to the wrong building, and upon getting to the Villa, there was no Ice; thus when the staff came to look into it, the refrigerator had no Filter (hard to imagine) and then one was put in. After returning from dinner, we had a flood on the kitchen floor due to the filter leaking, either it was the wrong one or put in incorrectly. Lastly, the downstairs bath had a handle that was not attached (broken); thus each time you had to go to the bathroom, you had to go upstairs, inconvenient to ay the least. It took awhile for a Manager to get back to us to discuss the situations, but we certainly will not be back to this Property nor will we recommend them.

Wonderful Property

We recently spent 2 week at this Shelter Cove condo and were very pleased with this property and the overall location. The condo was clean and well-decorated. The area is filled with many dining and outdoor activities, all within a short walk or bike-ride.

Windows

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was great and it was a spacious, well laid out condo. Our only criticism is that there was no way to open the windows in the master bedroom. The windows in the second bedroom did open, but had no screens. Some fresh air upstairs would have been nice. The living room could also use some additional lighting.
