Lovely property with everything we needed to have a relaxing getaway. Close access to interstate but still in the country. Sabrina and Ken were wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed having coffee out on the deck in the mornings.
The guesthouse/apartment was wonderful. Super clean and perfect for my wife and I for our week in Southern Oregon. The house had everything we needed, and the property was beautiful.
We loved getting up in the morning and going outside to see the wildlife, including squirrels, hummingbirds and quail. It was a joy to see the three resident cows as we took a peaceful walk and had coffee.
Sabrina and Ken are great hosts, and we truly enjoyed the time we spent talking with them. Their brown lab Baylee is just a sweetheart and would come to visit, which made it easier being away from our own pets. The places that they recommended were beautiful and the house was central to so many places to see and things to do.
The house is perfect for anyone from an individual to a family with a couple of children. We highly recommend these hosts and their property to all. It will be the first place we check to stay the next time we visit Oregon. Sabrina and Ken, thanks again for your hospitality!
Our stay was wonderful and our suite was way back on the property above a garage. It include a living room, full kitchen and bedroom as well as a full size washer and dryer. Our hostess Sabrina was gracious and very accommodating. We even stayed 4 more days! Its located not very far from Jacksonville (10 min) and local wineries. We often come up to visit relatives so we will be coming back often.
Very much enjoyed our stay on this property. Beautiful surroundings. Full kitchen with dishes, pots, pans etc. Washer and dryer so convenient. Owners dog friendly and my little dog loved walking with her. Convenient to Medford, Central Point and historic Jacksonville.
We had a marvelous time as all of our expectations were met. We went for the weather and it cooperated. We wanted quiet enjoyment of the place and it was provided. In fact Sabrina and Ken did their best to make us feel welcome. We felt as she said in one of her frame :" come as a guest leave as a friend" even Baylee, their dog, made us us feel welcome.
The property was wonderful. It had everything we needed. Was super clean and very comfortable. It is central to all Southern Oregon has to offer. Sabrina and Ken made us feel very welcomed and are great hosts. They take very good care of the cottage and their guests. We played a lot or horseshoes and enjoyed the deck. We loved meeting Baylee and Tubby as well. I would highly recommend this home.

Peaceful Retreat
The unit is equip with all that is needed to live with, in a very central location. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the BBQ right outside the door worked well.
The internet was fast and the rest of the unit accommodations and appliances work as intended. I will recommend this place to anyone especially if you are looking to stay in a place were you are at peace and with very little noises. The location was perfect close to the HWY, and to many of Southern Oregon's places and activities. The owners check on me at first to make sure I did not need anything and were available all if I needed to reach them. I had a great stay here really friendly and clean place to stay..

Quiet Retreat
Great location set in the countryside yet surprisingly close to freeway central to all attractions. The guest house is modern, tastefully decorated and well equipped. The owners Ken and Sabrina live on the property and are happy to help if you need them otherwise they respect your privacy. My husband and I feel fortunate to have found this place to stay for two weeks. There are stairs leading to the house are not suitable for those with handicaps.

Paradise!!
We just spent 5 days in this lovely rental. It's wonderful. Fully furnished kitchen, very clean, excellent WIFI, super bed. Outdoor setting - so peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed BBQing. Close to many activities - wine tasting, driving in the countryside, Jacksonville. Ken and Sabrina are so kind and welcoming. We probably bothered Ken too much along w/ Baylee, brown lab. We just couldn't help ourselves!! They have just thought of everything to make your stay very comfortable. We would highly recommend this rental.

Wonderful place!
We very much enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. The apartment was very nicely furnished and the grounds of the home were very nice. We were only in the area for two nights and out exploring much of the time but enjoyed this rental as a great home base. Our dog made fast friends with their sweet Lab Baylee and Sabrina was a very kind host. It was nice its proximity to Jacksonville and the Rogue Valley Zipline. We would love to rent this place again on our next trip to Oregon!

Wonderful experience and beautiful property!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners, Sabrina and Ken, were great hosts. Our daughter and her family live in Jacksonville and we used this property for our 2 month visit to visit our new grandson. It was perfect. The property was everything we could have needed. It was very clean, nicely appointed and well decorated. Plenty for the two of us, but big enough for four if needed. Our dog (Bailey) got to roam the fenced in grounds with their dog (Baylee). They had fun. We will definitely consider renting this in the future as we plan our future trips to the area. Wonderful time.

LYLAS
Beautiful land, wonderful owners, darling apartment. Although this is probably best for a couple, three ladies plus a 90 lb yellow lab managed to have a delightful time here. We needed a place in Gold Hill for an event, but also had a ball in Jacksonville just a few minutes away. Our pup had a blast on all the open ground and made a fast friend with Baylee, the owner's dog. Baylee was the perfect hostess and hung out with us when her parents were at work. Very nicely decorated and extremely peaceful with a cozy deck overlooking the large property.
Thanks, Sabrina, for the hospitality!

What a piece of paradise!!!!
OMG, where do I begin w/out rambling on and on. We've stayed in several guest houses and have enjoyed them BUT this one tops the list. The guest house was adorable, quite comfortable, immaculate, and peaceful. The hosts -- Ken, Sabrina, and Baylee -- are incredibly top notch. We felt so very much at home with them and it's all because of their outstanding personalities (yes, Baylee, too). When we arrived, Ken and Sabrina greeted us and had a bottle of wine, a little vase with hand-picked fresh flowers, and a nicely-scented candle burning in the kitchen (such a homey welcoming). Once we got settled and went out to the pergola to relax, they joined us and introduced us to Baylee. We were able to spend time with them throughout our stay and enjoyed every minute of it. Their property is quite a little piece of heaven. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing, and peaceful serene place and we got even MORE than we bargained for. The weather was hotter than we'd hope BUT not something any of us could control. We sincerely thank our hosts for making us feel so comfortable and we sure hope we'll be able to come back again. I'd highly recommend this guest house to anyone!

Wonderful country getaway, stunning locale
We recently stayed at this guest house for a full week, while attending the Rat Race paragliding competition in nearby Ruch, Oregon. I have nothing but positive things to say about both the property, and the property owners. The guesthouse is quiet, private, comfortable, includes two private entrances, and a private deck with a grill. For the dog lovers out there, the property is overseen by the sweetest chocolate lab that you'll ever meet. She escorts you all the way from the gate to the house (1/4 mile) jumping up and down with glee next to the driver door. What could be a better thing to come home to?
Next to the guesthouse is a wonderful pergola, landscaped gardens, and a nice water feature. It backs up to some serene woods, and it's a lovely place to share a bottle of wine while watching the sun set over the mountains.
Our landlords were extremely courteous and attentive at every turn. The guesthouse was immaculate on arrival, and they even went out of their way to stay up late to welcome us on Friday night (we didn't arrive until after 10:30pm). When we had a very minor problem with a faucet handle, they had it fixed almost instantly, while we were out at dinner.
Overall, I would strongly recommend this gem of a guesthouse. Please just avoid reserving it during the next big paragliding event, because we will want it for ourselves!

About the host
Hosted by Sabrina Reich
Ken and Sabrina Reich purchased the property in May of 2007 with only this structure and the ten acres of land you see around you. We lived in this house for ten months while our main house was being built. We were married on the property in September of 2007 at the arbor under the trees to the left of the front of guesthouse. We have been working on the house and surrounding landscape ever since. We came up with R&R as in “rest and relaxation”, something we aspire to but get very little of with working full time and the work of ten acres, but we enjoy it very much and wouldn’t have it any other way. We did some updates to the guesthouse and thought someone might enjoy staying here a short time as much as we appreciate living here. We have lived in Southern Oregon almost all of our lives and take advantage of all the options for recreation so nearby whenever possible. We love to golf, ski, camp, hike, bike, and enjoy the vast selection of dining and entertainment options throughout the region.
Why they chose this property
We were interested in this property for the serene location and being surrounded by mountains and country. We wanted to get out of suburban living with small yards and constant noise of traffic and neighbors. We fell in love with this property and loved that it is was still a short drive to get to work or other needs.
What makes this property unique
This guesthouse is wonderful for the amenities and conveniences it has for a smaller space. The large back patio has a great view of morning sunrises as well as watching birds and other wildlife frolic in the woods. You are welcome to sit at the pergola area with the fire pit or in rocker by the waterfall.
