Christmas disappointment in Eco Bay Guesthouse.
Don't be fooled by the advert. It's not what it seemed. We visited late December, 4 adults and 2 small kids. We had great expectations; large villa, hot tub for the grandchildren to play in. Unfortunately the tub didn't work and looked aged, had a very sharp tap pointing into the tub, the deck became very slippery when it rained and there was no protection on the back of the deck to prevent accidental falls, especially by the kids playing. The en suite bathroom in the front bedroom proved to be a major problem as there was a terrible odour emulating into the bathroom. This was not there when we first arrived. There was nothing we could do other than keep the door shut. Very unpleasant. Looking at the visitors book it was obvious that the house was not lived in regularly. The toaster we had to request blew up on the first use and the lighting in the house was not as shown on the website, plug connections were very dodgy in places. We had booked an extra bed at great expense for a relative to use but this proved to be unsuitable and therefore never happened. On our return we contacted the owner to voice our concerns and dissatisfaction. The message was acknowledged but since then nothing. So do yourself a favour, don't be fooled by how it looks in the description. It's nothing like it. I was hoping we would get some sort of compensation but fortunately this has not happened. There is nothing "eco" about Eco Bay Guest House other than the solar hot water. We won't visit again!!!
View from the kitchen. The slippery deck.

Impressive stay and we will be back!
My family and I had an amazing time in Ecobay Guesthouse. We had an amazing time during our holiday in ST Vincent. It's a very charming place. Ecobay guesthouse was the perfect accommodation for us. We had lots of outdoor space for sunning and the jacuzzi was great in the evenings for hanging out together. This was definitely great value for money and far better than a hotel. I really enjoyed the guest library as i'm a lover of books and we left a few books that we enjoyed during our stay for other guests.

Definitely Be Back!
I don't really have any faults with this place. I have my parents that live local but as they have a small place I decided to book the guesthouse for me and my little ones. I have to say I am amazed at how lovely the place is. Everything has been made self explanatory and it is clean which I loved. I loved how this place made me feel at home as it is really cosy.. you will not be disappointed.

Great Stay!
One of the best places I stayed in a long while. There was a slight plumbing issue caused a faint smell, this was resolved within the first day of my stay. The Guesthouse is close to the beach, really enjoyed getting to know the local people. It is very modern with a lovely homely feel which I really admired. Thanks for a great experience.

Good sized property, bedrooms OK. Property not cleaned well, location poor next to busy main road.
Not good, location next to main road is smelly and noisy, lounge and kitchen hot due to no a/c and unable to open windows.

Just As Advertised!
I decided to take me and my 2 young boys to St Vincent as they have so much family here that they have never been given the chance to meet. I wanted to bring them to a place that still had a homely feel so that they would be comfortable and relaxed. This guest house definitely delivered this kind of feel. We had all local amenities close by ( dry cleaners, supermarkets, and good mini bus links). I'm so glad that they had good air conditioning as it was so hot here, so was such a relief. I'm always quite fearful about going away, but I found that the owner (Colin) always answered my queries within a good timely manner whcih helped to put my mind at ease. Will definitely come here again and it is a must if you haven't visited this beautiful place yet. Thanks

Brilliant!
Both me and my husband really enjoyed our stay at the guest house. I normally tend to get a little travel sick when I’m away, but I just felt that this place was so homely and felt rather at ease with myself. The location itself is beautiful, and the people out here are really lovely and always go out there way to help you if they can- would definitely recommend. We will be back at some point. Thank you for giving us a great experience.

Never again !
We find that this guest house has not very much in common with the description given on the internet site. Especially the pictures are misleading. The house is located directly at the main road to the capital Kingstown with very heavy traffic starting at 4 am until about 11 pm. So a good night's sleep is competely impossible. Furthermore there is a constant stench of gasoline coming from the road and the petrol station which is just across the road (it's not only a gas station, it's a gas storage with huge gas tanks, too). Thus sitting in the back garden was almost punishing under these conditions. Overall the property is fairly run down. What it really needs is a lot of fresh paint and a good cleaning. The bathrooms are really dirty like dirty sinks full of stains. Same thing with the toilet. You really do not want to use them .The dishes in the cupboards were so dirty that we found it hard to get them clean. The water is just luke warm in the morning. So having a shower or cleaning up is not possible unless cold water is ok for you. The washing machine just runs on cold water. The washing machine as well as the refrigerator are speckled with rusty stains. We complained about these things with the owner and asked for a discount. However, until now we have not got any answer at all. Not very nice, especially as we know that his manager was in contact with him about our complaints. On a lighter note the house is quite spacious. It seems like the coffee machine and the micro wave are quite new. So to us at least something which can be mentioned as ok. But these things can clearly not balance out the bad ones.

Lovely Stay in St. Vincent!!
My family and I have been to St.Vincent 4 times as my husband and his family are originally from there. We decided to rent a house this time instead of staying w/ family because we had more people traveling with us. Ecobay exceeded all of our expectations! Close to the main road, beach, grocery stores, and nightlife. Chester is the house manager and took care of all of our needs and made sure we were comfortable. Awesome stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to travel to St. Vincent! =) It was definitely our home away from home. I miss it already!

My favourite place to stay
This is our second year at the Guest House and it's our retreat in the sun, but still a home away from home. It has been renovated to a high standard and is very clean. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We absolutely love the Jacuzzi deck, garden and beautiful views. As there are 3 bedrooms I plan to bring some more family members next year to experience St. Vincent, as there is so much to do there. The beach and restaurants were not far away from the villa and we were able to walk these with ease. We went on a boat trip and done snorkelling with the turtles, which was an amazing experience. There is a bus stop right outside, which made it very easy to do some more exploring into the local area. I would definitely recommend anyone to come and stay at the guest house if you want to relax and enjoy a place finished exquisitely with access to everything you would need. I will definitely be coming back again next year!

A great house to stay in
I stayed at this house with my husband, daughter & 10 yr old granddaughter for 2 weeks. We enjoyed our visit to St. Vincent for the first time. We had a great time. Our house there was great. Chester was the man on the ground was great always looking out for us. We visited Bequia for a day trip met Chester's daughter & granddaughter. Was a great island. Thanks to Percy who was our airport person, Peach who took us on an island tour & Agnes at the house. Bus stop was right out front of house. Indian Bay beach was within walking distance a little tough for my husband & I at 72 a little hilly. Villa beach was a little further down but we just jumped on the bus even with our beach chairs for $1 EC. The only thing that was a downside was it was a little noisy they need to put speed bumps down so they can't speed up & down the street but very nice house.

A truly relaxing place to stay
We went to St. Vincent with my teenage son and a friend. The property is very nice and we were able to hang out around the Jacuzzi deck in the beautiful garden. The beach is within walking distance as well as many shops, so we were able to park up and relax the majority of the time. The villa was clean, nicely furnished and had EVERYTHING that we could need...stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, lots of towels, washer and dryer...really a home away from home. We would definitely go back :-)

This house is perfect
I found ecobay guest house a breath of fresh air. After a long frustrating flight we was picked up at the air port And whisked away to the house .We where greated by two lovely ladies who made us very comfortable and welcome. The property is very large and immaculate better than I expected really I could not believe how close it was to the beach after about a five minute walk I thought I still would have a bit of a trek I turned the corner and Indian Bay Beach just opened up in front of me .The water was so warm like having a warm bath really I walked their every morning it became my bathroom .The house is the perfect distance from town not two far but far enough to still be very peaceful .I can go on and on its just perfect

Beautiful
Eco bay guesthouse was very comfortable for my family and myself. It was really a home away from home, the rooms were very comfortable the atmosphere was great my kids who enjoyed themselves alot. There is a grocery store 10 mins away, the buses stoped right infront of the house which was an extra bonus, the beach is so close to the house we acturally woke up in the morning time and walked to there and in the evening when we got back to the house after a long day in the town, that is how close the beach is to the guest house, and don't forget the owner and staff members that made us feel so welcome and so comfortable, my family and i got picked up from the airport and was greated by two kind women at the house that welcomed us. I would definitely stay at eco bay guesthouse again on my next visit to st.vincent, we had a great time.

Hi, I'm Colin!

I enjoy travelling and meeting people from all different cultures and backgrounds. This is what motivated me to open up my house to like-minded travellers at an affordable price but without compromising on quality.
I like going to the beach and being close to the sea. This is one of the reasons why I decided to incorporate a ‘Stay and Sail’ package with the house, so that guests can enjoy the clear aquamarine waters of the Caribbean Sea and escape to paradise whilst surrounded by inspiring ocean views.
I love spending time with my family, especially my beautiful energetic 2 year old daughter who keeps me young and fit. I am a health conscious person and try to keep active, not only to keep up with my daughter, but to ensure that I live a long and fruitful life.
I have a keen interest in Japanese culture and particularly enjoy reading James Clavell’s epic Asian saga novels. Reading, whilst on the beach or on the Jacuzzi deck is such a relaxing past-time that I have started a book club where I ask my guests to tell me their favourites book, which I will then purchase and keep in the house for all future, and returning guests to enjoy too!
Eco-bay Guesthouse, as the name implies, tries to keep our planet green and the solar panels installed for the water heating systems helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions, which goes some way in helping keep our lovely planet green and clean for future generations to enjoy.

What makes this property unique

Eco Bay Guest House’s outdoor deck, equipped with a 4-seat Jacuzzi, offers you the ultimate relaxing experience. There, you can enjoy your morning coffee while overlooking the beautiful floral garden and listening to the birds as they sing their morning songs. Enjoy the tranquility of St. Vincent and the Grenadines on a starlit night while reclining in the tub, surrounded by the soothing sounds and feel of the bubbles massaging away your stress. This out-door deck is also a perfect place to host a party, have a Bar-be-cue or simply enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner.

For your convenience, Eco Bay Guest House also provides the following amenities:
