Palmetto Dunes is a beautiful beach resort community that offers golf, tennis, pickleball, biking, hiking, fishing, swimming, and canoeing. All of your favorite activities are just a short walk from the villa. Travel + Leisure Family magazine named this 2,000-acre paradise the #1 family resort in the United States.

This beautiful two-bedroom, two-bath, 2nd floor villa with new flooring is only 3 tenths of a mile to the beach. It offers a fully-equipped kitchen as well as large living and dining areas. This villa offers two master suites each with two Queen beds, new flat screen tv's, full bathrooms and views. Free wireless internet is offered during your stay. Plenty of closet space throughout.

The kitchen being fully equipped with all the necessities of home (cookware, dishes, glassware, microwave, coffee pot, blender, toaster refrigerator, oven, garbage disposal), also includes a washer/dryer. The dining room has ample seating with views. The living room area has a large flat screen tv and ample seating. The room opens up to the beautiful and scenic balcony overlooking the 11 mile salt water lagoon. Enjoy your cup of coffee or outdoor dinner on the large balcony, while watching the Egrets and hummingbirds fly over the lagoon as the sun sets. An outdoor BBQ with a smoker now sits just outside our front door. Feel free to use it, please clean up after your finished!

This Palmetto Dunes location is easy walking distance to the beautiful beaches of Hilton Head Island. Enjoy the FREE Palmetto Dunes Buggy (seasonal) to help get you around anywhere within Palmetto Dunes or across the street to Shelter Cove to catch the summer fireworks.

Palmetto Dunes also has 3 championship golf courses, a wonderful Centre Court community pool (only steps outside your door) and the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center (FREE 2 hours of tennis or pickleball included with rental). The great thing about this location is it’s just a short walk on a private pathway across the 11 mile lagoon to the General Store for general provisions, Alexander's Restaurant for an outstanding dinner, and the Outfitters Center that has kayaks, canoes, bikes plus beach and fishing gear. There are 8 restaurants located within Palmetto Dunes to suit your dining needs.

Golfers have the benefit of the three world-class golf courses within Palmetto Dunes; Robert Trent Jones, George Fazio (which is about 500 yards from our villa) and Arthur Hills. All together, there are about 27 semi-private award-winning and public courses in the Hilton Head Island area for you to choose.

If biking is what you want to do, Hilton Head has miles and miles (more than 50 miles) of paved bicycle paths. Bring your own bike, or for your convenience, bike rentals are available at Palmetto Dunes Outfitters Rental Shop.

The Palmetto Dunes private beach is 3+ miles long and is considered by many to be the finest beach on Hilton Head. The Beach is an easy 5 minute stroll from our villa. Once there, you have access to the Palmetto Dunes/Disney Recreation Pavilion for free parking, picnic tables & grill, a snack bar, and restrooms. Great Location in Palmetto Dunes
This condo is 5 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to tennis/pickleball center and you can bring your fur baby. It has a quiet deck that overlooks a canal. We’ll be back!

Great Location in Palmetto Dunes
Our family and pooch have stayed here several times. The beach is about a 10 minute walk and even less on bike. My teens love being so close to the general store, and the back porch overlooking the lagoon is super relaxing. The condo has plenty of room and has everything you need for the week.

We have stayed in this area many times and find it to be very accommodating from the proximity to the beach, outfitters which provides bicycles, fishing poles, canoeing, several restaurants in walking distance as well as a general store. Love it!

Lovely Unit; Cleaning Issues
The good news is the unit was laid out nicely; it was in a good location; and it was pet-friendly. The not-so-good news is it was in dire need of a deep cleaning, specifically bathrooms and the kitchen stove. These were human messes! There was also a plumbing problem in one of the bathrooms. The unit could also use a new skillet and at least an extra kitchen trash bag. We went out and bought our own. Despite these issues, we had a good vacation with our fur babies. I hope the owners correct the problems in the unit. It is too nice to let deteriorate.

Overall Very Good Stay
We did see deer across the canal on 2 mornings, though no water birds. We rode our bikes to the beach access next to the Disney house - it was a short 5 min ride. Wish we could have taken advantage of the pool area but it closed Nov 1. The beds are firm. We would have appreciated a spare kitchen garbage bag and an additional toilet paper roll but overall the condo had all we needed.

We love this location! The condo was nice. Bathrooms definitely are dated and bedrooms need blackout curtains. Easy access to the beach. Bring cash for the parking pass or they charge to use a card.

This place is such a great location! The accommodation was clean and almost fully set up, plenty of towels, extra blankets, fully stocked kitchen. The only things I could not find were kitchen scissors and salt. Had to go purchase both of these things. Also two kitchen trash bags were not enough for a weeks stay. One more would have been perfect. Comfy couches and beds, in a quiet neighborhood. My kids loved the pool and the proximity to the beaches and general store too. Bonus that was were able ti bring our dog, he loved the beach walks and the cool tile to sleep on. We’re so happy we were able to bring him. Would return here again for our next trip to Hilton Head.

In the heart of Palmetto Dunes
We loved the location of this villa which is very easy access to the "famous" Palmetto Dunes General Store, bike and kayak rentals, pool, and tennis. We also enjoyed the versatility of the beach access which was only a few minutes away on our bikes or car with ample parking for either. The owners are very nice and quite responsive if you ever need anything.

Wonderful Home Away From Home
We had a wonderful stay at this property and spent a lot of time on the deck with it's view of the canal. It was peaceful and quiet; everything you'd hope for in a vacation. The unit was clean and well-stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. We'll definitely return!

Wonderful trip to Hilton Head and The South with husband and in-laws. The condo was in a lovely gated community. Close enough to walk to the beach ~ 10min walk while the beach parking for seniors was very easy for unloading the car with close access. The condo was great. 2nd floor spacious 2-bedrooms each with full baths. We enjoyed the deck overlooking the canal for morning coffee and easy walk to the general store. The stay was very comfortable. We shared a car to go golfing (nowhere on the island is more than 20min away) so the community minibus was so convenient to get to the main road to take the trolley for a short trip to Coligny or Shelter Cove shopping/ dining. Would love to visit again.

My husband and I have been married for 20 years and have three children. Our family has a very active lifestyle which includes sports, outdoor adventures and traveling. But most importantly we value our time with each other.

Why they chose this property

Being from the northeast, we were in search of a warm, tropical location to escape the cold winters. After visiting Hilton Head many times we realized our hearts belonged there. We decided to purchase a second home to create memories for our children. We hope that when you come stay in our villa, you feel both the warmth of the Hilton Head sun and the warmth of our family.

This Villa is set in a scenic and peaceful semi- tropical setting. In the mornings you can awake to the quiet of your balcony overlooking the lagoon or take a short walk to the beach. You can plan a day of adventure including golf, biking or tennis or choose to soak up the sun at the Centre Court pool just steps outside your door.
