The apartment at Crosspatch is great! It's clean, spacious, and comfortable and always nice to see the horses and working farm life. Dolly is a pleasure to deal with and so kind. We can't wait to go back!
Clean, great location for Holimont/Holiday Valley. Linens provided. Only downside was no WiFi available during our stay but we entertained ourselves with provided DVDs.
Perfect spot for a family for a weekend get away. Super helpful to have all the linens included. Should be noted all beds are in the same room, not a big deal just wasn’t 100% sure before we got there, but it also wasn’t an issue during our stay. Nice hot shower after skiing and full kitchen for your use. Enjoy! We will be back I’m sure.
The property itself was just as described and pictured. We had to college kids from Florida that were ecstatic to see snow. Property was clean and well stocked. We had a situation that delayed our picked up that two grand card still thinking about meunderwhat was required.
We wanted to be near Allegany State Park to get some hiking in with our dogs, and Dolly’s place gave us a perfect place for that. It was spacious and well- appointed. It is, literally at the stables, and I can’t wait to go back with my grandkids so they can see the beautiful horses up close.
This was a perfect spot as we needed somewhere close to Allegany State Park.
The host, Dolly, lives right on the property which is an actual working horse ranch. We had two kids with us (4,2) and they got to see and interact with the ponies, peacocks, and Tootsie, the little dog.
Inside, the unit was absolutely beautiful. Spotlessly clean and well furnished. Amazing kitchen with new appliances. Well stocked.
We would definitely return.
We really enjoyed our visit! Dolly was very friendly and we got to meet Tootsie and play fetch. It's a very peaceful place to stay with all of the horses, chickens, cats, peacocks and more. It's also only 10 minutes from Ellicottville. Highly recommended!
Good for inexpensive stay while skiing @ Holiday Valley
This is a small 1 bedroom w/ 1 K bed and 2 small single bunk beds, a combo living room / dining room / kitchen and no frills. It’s located on a horse farm next to a barn. You can hear roosters crow in distance but that didn’t bother us at all. The place is clean, warm and has everything you need for a simple stay. The owners were easy to get in touch with and available to answer questions. WiFi wasn’t working so they immediately brought a hot-spot that worked perfectly. There’s a TV with lots of DVDs. It could use some minor updates, a few floor tiles are cracked and move when you walk on them, the stools are wobbly and will likely break soon, and the shower has some black mildew. Would be good to provide coffee for coffee maker and soap/shampoo in bathroom, but these are minor things and didn’t get in the way. Location is great for an inexpensive place to stay near Holiday Valley.
We enjoyed our brief stay. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate with our ski plans but that can't be helped. This property was affordable, unique, clean and comfortable. We stayed with 2 adults and 2 teens. We could have used a 4th chair for the table and a larger frying pan would have been handy for the big breakfast I made but it wasn't a big deal. I appreciated having coffee filters, salt & pepper and plenty of kitchen towels, dish soap & paper towels. The wifi was spotty (maybe the December rainstorm had something to do with that), so we made use of their DVD library. There was also a big drawer of games and several shelves of books. We loved our kitty snuggles with the resident (outdoor) cat before we left. I'm thinking we will try to book again at some point as we never made it to try out Holimont. Dolly was also very easy to communicate with.
My girlfriend and I just spent a lovely weekend at the Stable! It is such a cute place! Everything was very nice and comfortable! The whole stay went by without a hitch! There is a lot to do in the area around the Stable! I totally recommend staying there. We are planning on going back in the furture!
There were amenities that you don’t usually get at a hotel such as a washer, dryer, kitchen, couch and small dining area separate from the bedroom. We were greeted by their friendly dog who got along nicely with our little dog. We appreciated their flexibility for the sake of our dog and ski trip. It was a convenient drive to Holiday Valley. The living space is part of a barn that shares a wall with peacocks. They were a bit noisy one morning, but I think I woke them up while using the bathroom since it seems to share a wall with their part of the barn. We had trouble accessing the message Dolly had sent describing where the entrance was when we arrived, maybe due to spotty cell phone reception or problems with the VRBO app. Dolly came out and directed us where to go. I asked about WiFi but didn’t get or find that info. I think whoever decorated the place is a talented artist. I admired the paintings and decor.
The Stable is only 5 miles from Holiday Valley and easy to get to but you won’t pay the crazy prices you find in EV. Nice Nice Kitchen and heated floors very cozy. The mud room and washer and dryer were great for the wet ski gear. Dolly was a great Hostess ans very responsive.
Nestled on the horseback riding property. This was a great hide away spot for our anniversary weekend. The people were friendly and so were the animals. Just a short drive to town. I could not have been more pleased. Wpuld highly recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the farm. The cabin itself was perfectly clean and well appointed for a family of 4. And coming home to horses, chickens, a kitten and friendly dogs was the icing on the cake for kids. We are eager to come back for a trail ride in the fall.

Close to Holiday Valley but far enough away for peace and quiet.
Pros: Cute place, clean, price, close to skiing, quiet, owner stocking refrigerator with basics like milk and coffee.
Cons: Beds, hot water lasted five mintues in shower.
We enjoyed our stay and the price will bring us back. I hope they work on the cons to make an enjoyable stay to a fantastic one.

A Fun stay on the Farm!
The outside is very deceiving and the inside is cute and cozy. We had everything we needed. Very well stocked. We really enjoyed the farm animals, chickens, roosters, ponies, horses, bull and cow. Oh, can't forget the 3 friendly dogs. It was perfect for girls get-away
