Great place on the lake
We just stayed for work but it has lots of room, lake access and play area for kids. The house is fully setup and includes everything needed. We had 4 adults staying in each room and were able to park 4 vehicles. Hosts were very quick to respond. Thanks for the stay!

Most relaxing week ever!!!
So easy and peaceful. Lovely location! I went for long walks on the nice trail every morning while the kids were sleeping. Very good for family or groups of friends. The dock is amazing. Would book again for sure.

Fantastic summer property for a family
Greatly enjoyed staying here as a family of 5. The dock and swimming area is worth a million. Myself and my kids couldn't get enough. Very secluded and private yet a short 15 minutes from town to all amenities. Sprout lake on its own is absolutely spectacular when the weather is right and the water temp is perfect. Thanks to ash for making sure our stay was a comfortable one. He came through when we encountered a small issue and it was fixed in an instant. The property is very spacious and comfortable and has everything you need. We will definately be back. Thank you Labrie family for the use of your property! Cheers.

One of our better VRBO vacation spots
Nice large middle class house right on Sproat Lake with dock, large lawn to the lake, and well kept grounds. House nice and clean with nice covered deck right on the lake. TV with cable for lolling and vegetating. Very well kept with friendly and helpful manager Ash. Big clean kitchen with all supplies. Couldn't beat this spot for family and dogs. We were very impressed and we will book again. Actually I may go ahead and try to get some July time for next year while I am thinking about it. The only thing that would make it better would be to have a canoe or some sort of little boat to go out onto the lake. They do have some inflatable floaties for use though. I didn't give 5 stars only because it is not a Hilton, but a nice family house. One of the better ones we have experienced on VRBO.

Fantastic stay
We had an amazing stay at this location. This 3 bedroom fully equipped home was perfect for us. We spent most of our time down on the private dock or on the covered sundeck outside the kitchen. Check in and check out was easy, no stress. Definately be back.

Great Place!
This was a wonderful, secluded spot on Sproat Lake with a large front and back yard. The owner was helpful and attentive and the cabin was well stocked with dishes and everything one might need. Even our old dog felt at home here! Our family would love to return next year. The photos perfectly reflect the condition of the property. The only thing I would add, is that there is Wi-Fi, but no TV or cable service (which can be a good thing) but you might want to take some DVD's with you, or use Netflix, etc., to watch the occasional movie. We ALL had a wonderful time. Thanks again, Marc, for making it a welcoming place to stay.

Excellent family destination
This cabin is perfect for a summer family vacation! We flew in to Nanaimo and made an easy drive out to the cabin. We we got there everything was very clean and organized. The grounds, dock, playground are all very well maintained and safe for children to run and play. The covered deck overlooking the lake was perfect for meals and just hanging out. There is lots of space in the house with different areas that can be closed off to block the sound if you have sleeping little ones. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for the wonderful time!

Great Stay, Nice Cabin!
We rented this cabin for the last week in August this year. Although it rained the entire time, we still had a great time! THe Cabin is well equipped with everything you need and everything was clean and in order when we arrived. Ash, you looks after the place, was very friendly and helpful. The cabin overlooks the lake and has a nice huge deck (covered) where we had all our meals. The Lake itself is beautiful and great for swimming and jumping off the dock.

We will be back!
We really enjoyed our stay this summer. Sproat lake is an annual vacation for our crew and we definitely want to book this rental again next year. The place was very clean and spacious. It had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The back deck is fantastic and has a full view of the lake which was perfect for our morning coffee and evening BBQ's. The back yard is huge and great place for kids to play. The dock is a great size and is where we spent most of our daylight hours. Definitely no complaints from us. Thank you for everything! Pam

I grew up in Calgary, Alberta and, Like any Calgarian then, in the mountains, on the rivers and in the snow. Growing up here was all about being outside with your friends. I was fortunate enough to spend my summers on a lake in northern Alberta with my family. It made me want to create the same kind of place for my family and friends and now I have that opportunity. Professionally, I'm an advertising and portrait photographer. We split out time, living in Asia and Canada with other adventures making up our year.

Why they chose this property

Sproat lake has been part of my wife's family life for more than 25 years, and thankfully mine for the last 15. Our family has a large property where we have spent our summers falling in love with everything this magical part of the world has to offer. We had always dreamed of owning one of the properties next door, scarcely believing it would ever become a reality, especially this one. Our dream came true when we were able to purchase our dream from a good friend and neighbour.
This is really the perfect spot. Easy access, uncrowded, there is a picture-perfect stream that runs through the back of our dream lot. Holly, huge pacific cedars, a well-maintained large house, and of course, in our opinion, the most beautiful lake we could find.

What makes this property unique

When I'm not there, I miss evenings having family dinners on the 300 sqft. patio, looking out at the sunset sky. Watching the wildlife on our beach, Bald Eagles fishing, ducks, geese, fish jumping during autumn spawning and busy beavers are among the frequent visitors. We love our summer days out on the long wharfs over calm water. There are huge windows in the living room and den that look out over the lake. The windows allow the lake to be part of every minute spent here. Watching the kids and their friends play on the open lawns, the stream that cuts through the back, there's no place like it.
