This property was a true gem. While visiting our son we used this as a base station for the first portion of our trip. The cabin was extremely clean and very comfortable. The host was amazing and the breakfast items she delivered including fresh eggs from the farm were a great touch that added to the overall experience. In all of our travels that was a first and much appreciated. We will definitely stay at Rustic Moose on our next trip.
This home was close to the attractions we were there for and in a quiet secluded area. We loved that they had out door games and a fire pit. The farm fresh eggs, fruit, and pancakes were an appreciated bonus!
Beautiful clean cabin with lots of amenities, two great bathrooms and tasteful Alaska-themed decorations. We enjoyed the fresh eggs and fruit, that is a very nice touch! I need to say though that there are only 2 bedrooms and just 1 queen and 1 twin trundle bed. The additional 4 sleeping spaces were on inflatable mattresses and on fold-out living room sofa with shrink-wrapped thin mattress where you feel every spring. My friend left with back pain. The owner Erin was very responsive and kind. Really wonderful place for 4 people, but I would probably not stay here again if there are more of us.
Everything was fine - clean and nice to have the fresh eggs (we love our eggs!). I think it should be noted that the bed descriptions are as follows: There is a twin trundle bed in the bedroom that was really too small for my teen boys. Thin mattresses and very squeaky flimsy springs. Fine for regular sized children, but my boys are adult sized. Also, the queen bed in the "loft" area is an air bed, not a real bed. It ended up working (we took the mattress off the trundle for one kid) but it should be better described in the home description.
We had a campfire one night. It was delightful!
Perfect place to hang out with our 2 adult kids. Our son moved to Palmer a year ago. It was fun having him show us around. Good kitchen with lots of spices!
This was our first trip to Alaska. Loved the cabin, so roomy and quiet. Erin is a great host, she was quick to reply. Farm fresh eggs were waiting for us. She was very accommodating when I asked if we could get more eggs. This cabin is perfectly located central to the attractions we visited. I would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful clean cabin in a perfect location, spacious enough for 4 adults and 3 children, tons of amenities, farm fresh eggs and my 5 year old got to bottle feed the owners calf. We would definitely stay here again! 😊
The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and was more than enough room for our family of four. It has a kitchen with everything you need to fix and enjoy meals. The propane grill was nice to allow us to grill a couple of times. We absolutely loved our stay in this quiet little nook of Palmer. The hosts were very friendly and easy to communicate with. If you are looking for a great place to stay while visiting Alaska or even a small getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this is the perfect place to stay! We would gladly stay here again, any night!
We had a great time visiting Alaska again which was made all the more special by staying in this great property. The house had everything we needed for the four of us, two of which were elderly. No hesitation to stay there again.
It was a beautiful area. The VRBO was very clean, roomy and had their personal touch. We had fresh eggs and other breakfast items. We look forward to coming back again. Thank you Erin
The house was very clean and nice. There were fresh eggs, juices, and fresh fruits. Erin was very helpful. Beautiful place. Only thing with my family, I have big boys so, sleeping was the issue. Only master has queen size bed. Other than that we enjoyed the stayed for 2 weeks.

We enjoyed staying at the Rustic Moose Cabin. It's cute and comfortable for our family. It was great to have breakfast items provided by the hosts. We would definitely recommend this place.
There were 8 adults that came in our group and we stayed a week and a half. Very nice cabin- super clean and had everything we needed. The bread, fruit, and farm fresh eggs were very nice to have for our group. The owner even brought over additional eggs for us! There were a variety of games like cornhole and washers we made use of in the large yard that included some comfy chairs for relaxing on. Would stay here again if we come back! The cabin is just a few miles from some popular trails, so it's in a great location.
This was a great space for my family and I away from the hustle and bustle of Anchorage. It was convenient to many different hiking spots to include Jim Creek where we went ATVing! Such beautiful sights and mountains part of which we were able to enjoy right from the living room window! There were plenty of sleeping options in this house and if you needed to you can easily sleep 10 people with the use of provides air mattresses. Erin was very helpful and even allowed us to use one of their gas cans to bring along on our ATV trip. When we checked in there was a lovely surprise of fresh eggs, fruit and bread in the refrigerator. Will definitely be staying here on our next trip to the Palmer area!
