This wonderful cabin on the river offers all the amenities (Satellite TV, WiFi, washer and dryer) of home while you relax on the porch watching the geese land on the beautiful Little River or use the charcoal grill to cook a steak. walk down to the river, cast your line and catch a few trout. Please bring your own fishing gear, canoe or kayak for full enjoyment of the river. Full Grocery and Dollar Store 4 mi. down the mountain in Menlo, Ga.

Past time to Spring Clean

The porches were unusable due to covered in pollen & dirt. That was very disappointing as we would have loved to sit outside.I probably shouldn't have rented a pet friendly cabin because there was dog hair on the comforters. There was only a half a roll of toilet paper & luckily it was enough for our stay. Wear socks or slippers inside or your feet will be black. If your cold natured bring your own blanket/ throws. This house has the bare minimum when it comes to extras. Its located on the corner of a small street but speeding traffic is more that you would think. Definitely would not recommend this cabin for children. Overall it was a nice cabin in a good location for what we had planned.

Perefct escape

This property is incredible and cozy! Private and clean with excellent views. The host was spectacular and adhered to any questions quickly. The wifi was spotty but the host was quick to send someone out to repair it! Fantastic place and we will be back!

Wonderful Stay

Enjoyed a long weekend in the Mentone area by staying here and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature in a well kept cabin on the river. Loved the screened in porch! Prepare yourself for no phones or computers! Keith

Weekend getaway

We had a wonderful trip. the host was wonderful, and we would definitely go back in the future. The cabin was perfect for us. We were able to explore the area and shop with no problem. The cabin had everything we needed for cooking meals and rest and relaxation. my favorite part was the screened in porch. Five stars!!!

A great spot for relaxation!

We needed a stay while we waited to close on our house and this was perfect! The fireplace was relaxing and the porch was our second living room. Beds were super comfy and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook whatever you want!

Retired adventure!

12/2023. Myself, my husbands, his brother snd sister in law. Arrived Mon.- left on Fri. Stay was great. Even better than we expected. Kitchen well supplied with great cooking utensils. Rooms were clean with all needed furniture (Only thing missing was a mirrors in the bedrooms) Great tv in living area... wifi not so good. But everything else was great. Wish it had been summer and we could have fished. 1 to 5 stars rating... differently a 5+.... The house and it's decoration simply beautifully done. Thank you for a very enjoyable 4 days.

Good stay but needs some work.

Good stay all items that were represented in pictures were solid. There were some little things like no service for cell phones and no lights causing us to walk on to neighbor's front porch looking for the site. Cleanliness was not great stains on beds, trash in kitchen upon arrival, toilets not cleaned, no additional trash bags, no paper towels, pots and pans were not cleaned all the way. The wifi was ran off the neighbors account and not continuous at any point during the stay and when it was on it didn't work well. beautiful scenery spacious inside just need to fix those items.

Good rating.

The rating of my stay is diminished by the poor internet service and poor cell service. The satellite tv controller is virtually worn out. We also expected new beds, but bedroom on right has an old bed .

My husband, 2 pups and I spent 7 days at this beautifully designed cabin with gorgeous views off the screened in porch. Susan was wonderful to work with making sure all our needs were provided. Stayed here with my wife and dog and had a blast! The cabin is absolutely beautiful and spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the screened porch to enjoy the views. Great location - close to some really cool places like Desoto State Park and the downtown shopping area. Great place to spend our first anniversary. We will definitely be back!!

I now live in Baton Rouge, La. but was raised only 17 miles from the cabin in Fort Payne, Al. I love the mountain and built the Guest House so I could be close to those who visited to enjoy their company when they are my personal friends and family but to give them their own space. This mountain is the most beautiful place on earth to me.

Why they chose this property

I originally looked at brow property but when I saw this property I was hooked. 6 acres, huge River Frontage, Dock to load and unload your boat. Close to everything I need yet truly relaxing, surrounded by nature.

What makes this property unique

Both Cabins on the property have large screened in porches furnished to just Rock or enjoy an outdoor lunch or dinner.

The grounds are landscaped with Rhododendron, Azaleas, and Dogwood, all natural to the mountain.

Your Dog will surely understand that he/she is on vacation with all the squirrels and birds they can chace.

You are within minutes of your daily excursion and you will never run out of interesting activities.
