Enjoy a relaxing family vacation in our brookside home that feels like you are getting away from it all, while still being close to popular local attractions if you choose to venture out. Our home is tucked away in beautiful Pomfret VT, so you will get to take in quintessential VT rolling hillside scenery to and from the cottage.

Relax and BBQ (charcoal, bring your own) overlooking a peaceful brook while the kiddos play in the backyard. Or cozy up on the couch inside with the gas fireplace.

Two bedrooms and one bath. One queen size bed and one twin over full bunk bed. Bed linens and bath towels provided. Washer and dryer in separate laundry room.

Free WiFi and a smart TV for you to login to your streaming accounts with.

Dishes, silverware, mugs, pots and pans, mixing and serving bowls, measuring tools, and grill tools provided.

Cozy Cabin

We've stayed here multiple times, and it's been a great experience for our family. Beautiful river behind the house, very cozy family room and open kitchen. Communication is great throughout and we look forward to staying again.

Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway!

The house and location were perfect for our family for our Thanksgiving week trip. We wanted to be close to towns to visit during the day but not surrounded by a lot of people when we were at home. The kitchen was perfect for us. We cooked all week long and made the best Thanksgiving memories.

Great place

Lovely cottage with a great kitchen, lovely back view, and a very comfortable bed! Slept great! I had envisioned sitting around the fire pit, listening to the comforting sound of the babbling brook…..but this Texas girl found it too cold to stay out for very long!😁. You have to realize I came from 90*+ to 30*. But it would be a wonderful experience in the right(?) temperature. Here’s just an FYI that didn’t distract from a positive experience, just good to know: if the tv doesn’t come on when you press the remote’s power button, check the breaker box. We had to flip the switch for it to work. That also happened this morning with the microwave. Not a problem when you know the solution. We would highly recommend staying here.

The house is right off a main road so some noise from that when you are outside or trying to sleep with the window open. My back had a hard time with the foam mattress, but that’s just me

Convenient, private, good value

Nice place on melodic little brook. Porch, fire pit, propane stove, privacy, convenience to Woodstock are all pluses. Listing is accurate: all amenities as described. Clean. Easy check-in.

Great little retreat.

Super cute house with stylish updates. The porch is great and had baby gates so we could let our pups stay out there unleashed while we had a campfire by the babbling stream. Good cookware and anppliances, smart TV, and lots of linens. Easy access, and we had a question at arrival that was expeditiously answered by the homeowners. We will be back.

Couldn’t Be Better

We LOVED our 3 month stay at the Peaceful Brookside Cottage. We couldn’t believe how quickly the time had passed. The very clean cottage had a great layout~felt spacious for us and our dog. Beds were extremely comfortable, well stocked kitchen was a pleasure to cook in there was ample storage for our groceries and belongings. It’s bucolic location was perfect to enjoy so much that Vermont has to offer.

Perfect spot!

We enjoyed how this was very rural but only 15 minutes from Woodstock and closer to a few small stores. My husband, 7-year old son, and I loved the views of the forest, playing on the hill and in the water, and having a fire by the creek. The inside was clean and very nice with helpful amenities. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Peaceful stay near the AT

Perfect peaceful stay. The back porch was our favorite spot to spend hours. The house was perfect, just big enough to give our neat grown kids space. Secluded enough to bring our boys back to the activites we did all the time when they were little, search stream for critters smores and silly family games but close enough to do activities like introduce our exchange student to the AT and Killington Ski resort.

adorable cabin

Warm and cozy cabin. The kitchen is fully furnished. The fire pit by the creek is so peaceful. There is a child swing and a picnic table. The porch facing the creek is well done.The owners were extremely responsive.

Great, relaxing spot by the water

This house was just what we needed for a long weekend to recharge. The rushing river sounds were calming, the propane stove indoors was toasty and relaxing, and the fire pit outside was perfectly located. We went to River Roost and Harpoon for some craft beers, Worthy Burger for an incredible lunch and cooked some meals in the well stocked kitchen. Driveway was plowed immediately after a snow storm slowed and we weren't stuck at all. Would definitely book again!

Cute and cozy house by the river

What a peaceful spot next to the river. Cute and comfy. The house feels bigger than it is. Beds are very comfy. We love the open kitchen, eating nook and family room with the fire. We very much enjoyed our stay as a family.

Quiet Vermont Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in Vermont! The cottage was very clean and the location was beautiful, with the stream in the backyard. The outside fire pit was great to use since the weather was warmer than usual for December.

Great Place to Stay

Great place to stay for a weekend getaway. Location was private and peaceful, but close proximity to drive to Woodstock and Quechee. The view from the back windows and deck of the stream is lovely.

A great place to stay

I stayed here with my family- we visited Woodstock- it was close to town but far enough away to feel secluded and peaceful. It is a beautiful location and the perfect size for our family of four. The kitchen had everything we needed. Sitting in the living room with a cup of coffee in the morning and looking out at the brook was just what we wanted.

Great Cabin in Pomfret

I spent the month here over the Thanksgiving holidays and loved it. The cabin has a great open floor plan with huge windows and glass doors that lead out to the deck and creek. It’s larger in person than in pictures imo. Everything that I needed was provided for, and the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking equipment and utensils. Lots of nice towels, a huge, full-size washer dryer and an overall comfortable feeling home. You will have to connect your phone to the Wi-Fi once you arrive, but that wasn’t an issue. There was a minor situation where the Wi-Fi went out, but Brad walked me through it, and it was resolved fairly easily. FaceTime and Zoom worked fine if you have meetings while on your trip. Also, Google maps works fine as well. If you set your course before you leave. Pro tip;)) Really a lovely time and I felt that the price was very fair considering the property and location. Easy access into Woodstock and Dartmouth area. But also very private and peaceful. Beautiful little town in Vermont and a lovely setting. I felt fortunate to be alongside the creek especially.

Quiet, cozy, perfect.

This was a perfect getaway for us. We needed somewhere to go and do *nothing,* and this cottage was perfectly set up for that. Nothing beats reading by a babbling brook for hours on end.

Delightful

This location is truly a gem. It is a cozy, and clean great for making memories. The hosts are quick to respond and the house includes all the little details needed. We loved the living room, porch and listening to the outside creek. A tip for those staying, we arrived when it was dark and not knowing the area, or house, I’d recommend trying to arrive in daytime. Cell phone location is spotty and the property is very dark at night. Highly recommended! We hope to come back and make more memories! Huge thank you to the hosts!

Awesome Place

We stayed there for 3 months while our house was being rebuilt. Couldn't have picked a better place. The place was clean, had new appliances and plenty of pots, pans and dishes. The highlight was the deck overlooking the brook, spent a lot of our time out there! The firepit is also gorgeous! Brad was a great host, always responding quickly. My husband, our dog and I really enjoyed our stay.
