This cozy and quiet rental is on the lower floor of a small sweet home in the heart of the amazing Beacon Hill neighborhood, ranked one of the best and most walkable neighborhoods in Seattle. The Seattle Times just ranked Beacon Avenue (1 block away) as the best foodie street in the city, and as home to the #1 and #2 best pizzerias in town!

Our house is within 2 short blocks of the light rail (which provides a fast, cheap, direct line to the airport, downtown, Capitol Hill, University of Washington), and 2 short stops from both T-Mobile Park & Century Link Field for football, baseball, soccer, and concerts. I am on 2 bus lines (36/60), and within 2 blocks of a great supermarket, library, a stellar brewery, and many great local eateries, award-winning restaurants, and charming coffee shops. And we are 4-5 blocks from one of Seattle's few public golf courses (with a modern driving range!), a huge city park with tennis, lawn bowling, a skate park, play fields, terrific views, and several great playgrounds.Beacon Hill is a small neighborhood but known and widely recognized for top notch eateries, great locally owned coffee shops (we are one of the only neighborhoods in Seattle without a Starbucks!), great views, and one of Seattles biggest parks and all on the light rail and close to downtown.

The bedroom is a large room in recently remodeled basement, with a cozy new, firm queen bed with memory foam topper. Plenty of clean pillows and bedding. Flat screen TV comes with Roku access for streaming shows and movies on all major platforms, using your own accounts.

The room includes a lounge chair/ottoman, a closet and ample shelving, plus an in-room mini fridge and microwave oven, large mirror, and ample storage. There is a private entrance from the room to outside for your exclusive use. A small but impeccably clean and modern 3/4 bathroom is on the same floor.

Guests can also sit out front in the comfortable lawn chairs overlooking the street.

Please note this is a family home with children, and not suitable for groups or noisemakers. We strive to be quiet and expect the same from guests, and are strict about quiet after 10pm!

Cozy and close to the rail system as advertised
I went to 2 Baseball games rode the rail to both and super close and convenient. I then rode the rail to the airport and just as easy. Would stay here again.

Great spot in a great location
The apartment is actually larger than it looks in the photos, although the configuration is a bit unusual. The bed - super comfy. There is a coffee machine, fridge and microwave. The decor is really cool, with some great looking art. The garden is lovely. The neighborhood couldn't be more convenient - light rail station is 5 min away and the market is really good, as is the local brewery. You can see the snow-capped mountains from the front garden. Max was super helpful and easy to contact. I will come back!

You really don't need a car to see the sights in Seattle. Whether you're here for a sporting event, concert, or just to breathe that Seattle air, this is a perfect location.

Cozy Studio perfect for two
Max was a delight throughout the process of renting and during my stay while visiting family. The unit was clean, well maintained, and had everything I needed. He even left Hershey's kisses for my arrival! Within walking distance to restaurants and bars, and he allowed me to park my car in his driveway. I felt very safe here, thanks Max and family!

After reading previous reviews my two concerns in booking this place were the bed and potential noise from the floor above. I can say the bed was comfortable and there was very minimal noise from upstairs. One thing to note: if you have a larger body the shower will be a tight fit. This place is in a very convenient location with restaurants, groceries and the link light rail all within a short walk. I’d stay here again and recommend this place.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this location. Host was incredibly welcoming and friendly and checked in on us regulary. He had alot of helpful local info to keep us on track. We loved the eclectic cultural decor and the cozy basement accommodations were perfect for us! We woukd highly recommend this spot amd we would love to visit again!

Great little spot
My husband and I had a great tiniest visiting Seattle. Max’s place is literally 2 min walk to the train and there are lots of eateries in the area. The space was very comfortable, perfect homemade while you’re out exploring the city. We spent 4 nights there. Loved the convenience of the train- you can take it directly from Seatac and save yourself the cost and headache of renting a car.

Seahawks Weekend Getaway
The VRBO was easy to find and in a pretty nice neighborhood. It was within walking distance of a Perihlion Brewery, a Grocery Outlet and the Beacon Hill light rail station. I gave it a 4 on the overall rating because on the couch hideabed. I rented it knowing it was there. But I was there for football, not for sleeping. LoL

Perfect for a weekend stay
We came into town for the blue angles air show and this was the perfect little place for our weekend trip. It’s a quick Uber ride away from all things Seattle and a quick walk to restaurants. It’s such a cute basement unit and we slept so well! The hosts were very nice and respectful of our privacy. Worth the stay for sure!

I originally came here for graduate school but just couldn't leave the beauty, progressive people, vibrancy of the city, and the awe-inspiring nature of the region. I am a professional, but also creative and musical, friendly and fun, very well-traveled, and I'm bilingual in Spanish (some Portuguese too)!

Why they chose this property

I purchased this home because of how charming it is, and because there is no neighborhood I would rather live in than North Beacon Hill. Not only is this a wonderful neighborhood, but mine is a great street with lovely neighbors, and absolutely incredible walking access to so much including the best in public transportation, amazing food and drink, parks and views, a library and other public amenities.

What makes this property unique

Despite being about 100 years old, the house has both charm and a great sense of modernity from upgrades and remodels that make it warm and cozy, but stylish and cool, too! Guests seem to like it as much as I do, which is why I love being both resident and host!
