Escape to RELAXING Waterwheel Resort Condominiums in beautiful New Braunfels, Texas. Our comfortable, relaxing and well-equipped POOLSIDE/ Hot Tub condominium is located on the banks of the Guadalupe River just 5 blocks from Schlitterbahn Water Park and the Comal River.

You will be amazed at all there is to do here. Imagine yourself relaxing in one of our 2 swimming pools or 4 hot tubs. There are picnic tables and BBQ grills located under the pecan trees next to the pool/hot tub area in a large, beautiful park-like setting. There are BBQ pits just outside your patio as well.

Our clean 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo is located on the 1st floor. You will enjoy a relaxing view from the gated poolside patio which can be accessed directly from the living room. It is a great place to enjoy a good book and a hot cup of coffee in the morning or a cold beverage in the afternoon or evening with friends and/or family members while you watch the kids swim in the pool.

Inside the living area you will find a very comfortable sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress, love seat and chair to relax on while you watch cable TV on the 42” flat screen LCD TV. In the fully stocked kitchen you will find everything you need. There is a Kuerig coffeemaker with pods as well as a drip coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, coffee, assorted creamers and sweeteners, dishwasher, microwave, full-size range, full-size refrigerator with ice maker, dishes/utensils and blender for those refreshing frozen concoctions you love to enjoy while on vacation.

In the master bedroom you will find a flat screen television. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has a queen size bed as well.
Both bedrooms have plenty of closet space with extra blankets and pillows. Washer and dryer are available for your use as well.

You will also enjoy have a reserved parking place just steps from the front door.
No stairs or elevator!

Now, more reasons why you should come to New Braunfels for a relaxing and fun-filled vacation. Literally blocks(walking distance) from Waterwheel Resort is the #1 waterpark in the country….Schlitterbahn!! New Braunfels is also home to great shopping and a couple of nearby wineries. If tubing or kayaking on the river and playing at Schlitterbahn are not enough, famous Gruene shopping, Gruene Dance Hall (Texas’ oldest dance hall) and delicious Gristmill Restaurant are just minutes away (3 miles) in Gruene, Texas.

The charming Texas hill country has an abundance of things to do as well. Fishing and water sports are also available at picturesque Canyon Lake. Still need more to do?

The #1 outlet mall in the country is located just a short 10 minute drive up interstate 35 in nearby San Marcos along with the San Marcos river. San Antonio is home to the Alamo, Riverwalk, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Spurs and Sea World.

During peach season (May through August), Fredericksburg is just a short drive away. Besides delicious peaches, Fredericksburg is known for its wineries, German Biergartens and great shopping especially antiques. You will also find the President Lyndon Johnson home and ranch there. Austin is only 44 miles away and is home to the Texas State Capitol and the LBJ Presidential Museum.

And not to be forgotten is New Braunfels’ Wurstfest celebration, a 10 day salute to sausage every year at the first of November.

Pool outside your back door!

Hassle-free check in just input the door code, put you stuff down and jump in the pool located at your back patio. The house was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for our family. Kitchen was small but had everything we needed to cook inside as well as on the grill in the pool area.We enjoyed both the pools on the property and walking down to the river. Gruene is only about 8 min. from the condo so we enjoyed walking and shopping aound there and we also loved floating and playing at Rio Vista park in San Marcos (only 20 min. away). We will definitely stay here agin.

Great Holiday Escape

We enjoyed our stay and were surprised by the amount of hot tubs/heat pool available during this cool season. The condo was spacious and included a lot of little amenities in the kitchen. New Braunfels offered more than enough activities and restaurants to keep us in the holiday spirit.

Wonderful Condo in the best location!

We visited New Braunfels the weekend before Labor Day 2023 and loved the location of this property. We were close to everything we wanted to do. Our kids had fun in the pools and property was well stocked and maintained. Would definitely recommend to others. Good luck with your trip!

The condo was perfect for our weekend gathering with friends. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool, and patio. The location was close to all our weekend events. I really appreciate when Gary checked on us. Happy to report all was good.

Great place

We had a wonderful experience with the owners of this property. It’s located right beside a small pool, but there is also a larger pool a short walk away. We enjoyed both pools. The best thing was the location to the river. We didn’t have to worry about driving, just walked down the street, hopped in, and floated back to the property. The owner was extremely helpful in answering questions about the area. He even allowed us early check in because it was ready. The beds were very comfortable! Highly recommend staying here!

Did not want to leave!!

We spent the 4th of July week here. It was so relaxing, we didn't want to leave. Our favorite spot was the private patio poolside which was well furnished and very comfortable. The condo was clean and well stocked with kitchen items, extra blankets, and toiletries. Another plus was the parking spot right outside the door. During our time at the Waterwheel, it was a very family friendly environment. We found the location to be be so convenient for Gruene, restaurants, parks, and rivers. The owner, Greg, was very nice and check in and check out was super easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Staycation

This was the perfect location for our short family getaway. The condo was super clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was nice being able to walk out from our porch to one of the pools. We also swam in the larger pool, enjoyed the river and played frisbee on the lawn. We appreciated the bonus snacks and coffee provided by our gracious hosts.

Nice get away

We had a great girls trip. Located right off the pool and great location for a 5-6 hr float back to the condo from the Rockin R river entrance. Greg and Elizabeth had a great book put together for local activities and local insights.

Comfortable quick stay!

Check in and communication was super easy! It was a bit difficult to see the building/apartment number since it wasn’t lit well, but once we got it we turned the outside light on. The beds we’re comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. My husband left his body wash at home and didn’t have to borrow mine. ;) Lots around to do and places to eat. There are a lot of deer around the complex.

Perfect For Our Family

We all came from the DFW area to see our oldest grandson graduate, the condo was perfect for our large family to gather and celebrate this milestone! The owner was very helpful in recommending local restaurants and attractions. We will definitely return and highly recommend!

Very nice property

We enjoyed our stay immensely - the property was nice, clean, and had everything we needed. The hot tubs just outside the terrace were clean and running even though it was in the forties. The pool by the river was heated and there were deer near the pool repeatedly. Groceries and fresh rolls (Uwe's bakery!) were just a short drive away.

Great location

The property was a great location for our plans, Schlitterbahn and Gruene. The patio was relaxing and the close access to the pool was nice. Lots of extras were provided like snacks, soap and luxurious towels. The place was very clean. My only concerns/negatives was a small kitchen with limited cookware and the place needs a fresh coat of paint.

Great Location , Very Clean

Awesome location, patio goes right to the pool. The only downfall was, the pictures on vrbo did show two beds in one room but there were only two beds total besides a pull out couch. The master bed was creaky and would recommend adding a memory foam topper but everything else was awesome!

He actively manages both their condos as well as finds vacation properties and homes for guests who "Fall in Love" with Waterwheel and New Braunfels. Greg and Elizabeth's knowledge of the area as well as the best places to eat are just a text/phone call away for their guests.
