Unique and Cozy Cottage in Sarnia with a private Beach on Lake Huron

Lake front cottage with amazing sandy private beach. This renovated original cottage is one of a kind! A perfect get away that is still in town. This is an adults only property. This home is fully equipped with everything you should need to have an enjoyable stay. The cottage has many comfy spaces to enjoy inside and out. Two bedrooms, one on the main floor with the sound of waves crashing and one downstairs in the bomb shelter for those who like a quiet sleep. A fully equipped eat in kitchen. There is a south side covered patio and bbq for outside meals. A bright and breezy work space, a laid back reading spot, it has it all! There is a storage space for bikes or any sporting equipment you may have. There are many different levels to the cottage and property so those who are not good with stairs this may not be the place for you. This original cottage has been renovated but still has an issue with water pressure, you cant do laundry and shower at the same time. However the water pressure is amazing when you dive into the lake. The a/c is not central air, we have window units and fans for blazing hot days but windows open with the lake breeze is the best way to enjoy the peaceful sounds of the waves. There are kayaks a paddleboard, floats and other beach items and games that you are free to use. The cottage is walking distance to a great grocery store, liquor store, bank, barber, MnM meats for your convenience.
We are located 10 minutes from the Bluewater Bridge to Michigan and downtown Sarnia. Within a 5 minute walk there is an LCBO, MnM Meats, Sunripe grocery store, variety store, bank and restaurant. The Howard Watson bike trails are close by and go for miles.

This reservation has a Super Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 14 day prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 7 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.
HOUSE RULES
Primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, no pets.
CHECK IN 3PM , CHECK OUT 11AM
- The cottage is strictly NO SMOKING, outside is fine. Please do not leave cigarette butts on the lawn or beach, there are several spots to dispose of them.
- NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY AT ANY TIME at the beach. Guests agree to assume all risk and liability associated with the use of the beach. NEVER leave minors unattended.
- Only those listed on the reservation confirmation may stay.
- Please stay in designated right side of the driveway as the owner or other guests use the left side.
- Anything damaged or not working please let me know as soon as possible.
- Please keep cottage locked when you are at the beach. Do not leave any valuables on the beach unattended. This is a private beach but it is close to the public access and anyone has the right to walk the beach. Owner will not be liable for lost or missing items.
- Guests must bring in floats from the water and move chairs away from the shoreline at night. A calm day can change quickly, anything left too close to the waters edge will be gone.
- Guests understand that the cottage is 1 of 2 residences on this property and the beach is shared. The main residence is occupied by the owner.
- Quiet hours are 10pm til 8am. Remember sound carries very well over water.
- Trash bags may not be left outside as there are many critters around. Please put all trash bags in the blue bin at the end of the driveway. Recycles need to be in the blue boxes provided.
- Small beach fires are allowed weather and wind permitting. Guests must not leave fire unattended. Be mindful of smoke as everyone loves to have the windows open to listen to the lake.
- No offensive music or language at any time.
- By booking this property you acknowledge that you have read and agree to abide by all rules and requests of the owner.
- Owner has the right to revoke tenancy at any time without refund for guests that do not respect the rules.
- Treat my home as if it was yours and enjoy my piece of paradise!

Sarnia on the beach is wonderful!!

Our gracious host, Ann, was welcoming and had prepared our home with everything we needed. It was clean, well organized and this home is a wonderful reminder how an older home can be transformed to welcome visitors to the area:)

Private beach cottage

Cottage with private beach. Very comfortable, all amenities available. Host lovely. Only downside is all the stairs inside as described in listing, however there is no handrail on the main stairs to the kitchen, so renters should have no impairment with stairs at all if renting cottage.

Great Location

Great location in Sabrina. Inside the home was immaculate and amenities were nice. Weather wasn’t conducive for using any of the fire pits but morning coffee on the beachfront was awesome. The yard was in dire need of tlc. And some cleanup.

wonderful warm cozy cottage

Recently, my husband and I spent a week at this property and can hardly wait to go back. Super warm & cozy and very quiet. Great spot to escape to. Our bed was very comfortable and the cottage was very clean. The property is clean and easy to walk and right on a lovely sandy beach. The location is perfect it is nice and quiet on the beach and within walking distance or 2 mins by car just around the corner is Sunripe an amazing fresh grocery store, LCBO, M&Ms plus a small variety store for milk etc Ann the host, is wonderful! We enjoyed spending time with her. She is very helpful and hands on if you need anything. If you want to escape, definitely sign up to enjoy some quality time. Hope to see you soon Ann!

Great stay, great host.

My husband and I stayed at Ann’s property for our Anniversary and we found it peaceful and just what we needed. Great sunsets! The cabin itself had everything we needed and it was nice to have amenities close by. The only down was at the upper level was a bit muggy. We brought our own dehumidifier which made a big difference. Ann was friendly and responded promptly to any questions we had. We will consider staying again in the future.

Very relaxing and cute place

I used the place for my mandatory 14 day isolation and even though I was almost entirely confined to inside, my time went quickly. Strong internet, TV, streaming with good places to curly up and read a book, all provided excellent diversions. The place was really clean and comfortable with readily available owner support if needed. Top on my list for any future needs.

One of the best kept ‘home away from home’ experiences

This place is one of the most beautiful little places we have been too, it has all the amenities of being at home with the laid back and comfortable feeling of being totally taken care of away from home, we absolutely loved this place and would recommend it to all our friends and family, definitely a must go to place for sure!!!!!

Not quite lakefront

My husband and I booked this property because we were under the impression that the property was closest to the water, and for the most part, it would be a private oasis. Unfortunately, it was the owners property that was closest to the water, with our stay being by the road. That was not a big deal, but having to walk by the owner and guests that were there on the owners property was not what we had anticipated. We were staying for our honeymoon, and it would have been nice to have a more private stay. There were also no doors on the bedrooms, which we found odd. If you are staying with a couple of people, the living room and bedroom are right next to each other, with no door to make the bedroom private. Otherwise, the cottage had a keypad entry, exclusive to us.

Everything was lovely. Why search for anything else. Ann is lovely and her property is perfect for a family of four. Best beach and view. Super duper clean.

Great Stay

We had a great time at Ann’s cottage. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed and then some. Ann was attentive and available to address any need we had but also gave us plenty of privacy. We chose the cottage for the private beach and it did not disappoint. We were there daily and made good use of the kayaks and paddle board, though the water was cold!

Fantastic

Perfect beach location!

We had such an amazing stay at Ann's place! Being able to walk straight out the back and down some steps to the beach was so wonderful, and the beach itself is like none other we've ever been to. Such beautiful, pristine waters! Ann was a fabulous host, extremely helpful and accommodating!

Lovely beach house in quiet neighbourhood

This was a perfect venue for relaxing and enjoying the beach. The entire house is very comfortable especially the beds! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create memories. Very convenient to shopping and the liquor store is a five minute walk. If you’re into early morning walks and glorious sunsets, you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful Location With Your Own Private Beach

The location is exactly what you are paying for at this rental. You have your own private beach, which was so nice! The space is small but clean. It served as a good home base during our stay. Note if you are a U.S. citizen staying here on the Canadian side, you may have to cross the border multiple times if you want to do activities in Port Huron or the surrounding area. The lines were very long at the border crossing (anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour), so factor that in when you decide to reserve this. In hindsight, it would have been much more convenient for us to stay in the U.S. Overall, this was a nice little gem of a find!

Awesome location on the beach!

This cottage has a wonderful location right on a private beach. So beautiful and relaxing to unwind and get away from everything. We enjoyed out stay and cooked at the cottage every night. The kitchen is small but well equipped and we used the outdoor grill. The beach was sandy and very calm. Beautiful views every day and great swimming (once you get used to the cool water temp). I would recommend this cottage to a friend.

Very cozy and beautiful beach

Had a wonderful weekend. The house is very cozy and cute. Had everything you could need. Location is perfect, the beach is wonderful. We kayaked and tried paddle board. Water was so clear.
