It had a private patio and it was quiet! No sounds! I had coffee on the patio in the morning and it was so nice. I have to go back to Seattle in September and I plan to stay here if it's available. My only issue was Orbitz didn't send me the code to get in and I had to contact VRBO and they helped me out.

Good place to sleep!

I would stay there again. It was a good place to sleep. The bed was very nice and we had no issues, but it is a basement so keep expectations level. It is not the destination just a good place to sleep. I would stay there again

Great Location but a few tips

Overall we had a great experience. The place was clean and tidy. The kitchen is just a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and hot water kettle with a few dishes. This makes for easy breakfast but no stove top or oven cooking available. I had read in a previous comment about the stairs that are hard to see. Yes, this really needs to be fixed. Both of us almost fell several times. The middle stair needs to be painted a different color that really draws your eye to attention. I think this is a huge liability risk. I'm 5'3" and my friend is 5'9". I felt tall in this downstairs apartment and my friend had to duck her head to not knock herself out on the heat ducting. Just something to know. There are basically two bedrooms. The front bedroom has windows and you hear (even through the windows) the outside marina and train station noises. It was not super loud but if you're a light sleeper, you will hear it. The back bedroom doubles as the "living room". There are no windows so it is dark and quiet. The are no heat controls so you are tied to the temperature in the main house. The owner was always responsive to my questions and helpful. Overall clean and great place to stay for the money.

Great Location near Magnolia and Ballard

We had to be in Magnolia so Ronak's location was great for us. It was also very close to the Ballard bridge, which allowed us quick access to Ballard and communities to the north. It also was close to Downtown Seattle. Street parking in front of or close to the unit was good. Ronak provided excellent communication. There was ample bottled water in the fridge; bed was comfortable. Would have given it 5-star rating except for two safety issues: Walking from the driveway to the basement unit's entry door, the concrete slab has a step-down that we did not expect. We returned to the unit after dark everyday and did not know that the photoelectric light was turned 'off'. That first night, it was extremely dangerous trying to estimate the walking distance to that step-down. We bought a flashlight on day 2 so we would not be surprised again; we also located the light switch (among 3 other light switches) inside the unit that operated the photoelectric light and left it in the 'on' position. Ronak, that switch should be clearly labeled. Our second issue was the 'step-downs' within the unit: There are 2 steps located between the bathroom and the refrigerator area. The floor in this area is painted white concrete and difficult to see the steps if one is not paying attention. We are senior citizens and are not used to paying much attention to getting from one end of a room to another. After almost tripping once, I tried not to walk in that direction and used the secondary walk through. There is another step down in the 'living area', but that area is carpeted so if you fall or trip, you may not get hurt. I placed some furniture at that step down so I would remember it was there. There was also an underlying scent throughout the unit---not very bothersome unless you have allergies against certain products. Having relatives in the immediate area, I was aware of the prevalence of (Huge) spiders throughout Seattle, so seeing and killing a huge one in the kitchen area was not unusual, and then I recognized the scent: it was insecticide. Ronak, maybe try Febreeze to mask the insecticide scent. The location is a great one for us. We will be back.

Picture of back yard doesn’t represent current condition. Property definitely needs some tender loving care around landscape & over grown with vegetation overgrown plants & weeds in back yard & side yards. Shower needs floor scrubbed & peoples left behind loofas need to be discarded. Wasn’t clear what we could use or be charged for. .. like water bottles in fridge, wine bottle on counter but not sure if we could use or not? Or at what cost, or was it for our use as guests? Room was clean but warm, Book “Rules of the House” said a fan was available but none found in the rooms? Otherwise was good for what we wanted since we were there to work on a friend’s house in Magnolia Park, so just used facility to sleep, so worked well for that purpose. Thanks, Andy Johnson

The Perfect Place To Stay

Our experience of the accommodations was excellent. It was obvious the owner put a lot of love into providing for our every need. The property was very clean and well maintained. He even added a few extras that surprised us such as a bottle of wine, and chocolates. The property is located one block from public transportation making it very convenient to travel to downtown Seattle. We would highly recommend this property to our friends and relatives. It truly is a Gem in The Emerald City.

Lovely Stay

We stayed for an extended time (41 days) in Ronak's Seattle home. It was great. Ronak was very considerate and helpful whenever needed. The space was nice for our small family (wife, child and me). The house is located in a good place close to bus line which is a rather useful transit option in Seattle.

Clean, quiet, good communication

Ronak, the host, was very helpful and communicative. My mom visited with him and said he was very attentive and available for any questions or help. The property is nice, clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Fairly close to bus route to downtown etc. On good weather days there is a patio and eastward view. The only heads up I would give to potential guests (and obviously this is not anything the owner can control) is that if you approach the property from west to east on Dravus street you will drive on a very steep hill and it is difficult to see if cars are coming up the hill as you try to turn left onto owners street off Dravus due to blind spot. So, be very careful if you take this route, perhaps come from the other direction? I recommend staying here. Thanks, Ronak.
