The cottage is as described, a cozy and clean little place to stay. It was fully equipped with everything I needed and more! The host was excellent at communicating with me.
We took my Mom on her 75th Birthday Trip and Mom stayed with my sister who lives in the area while we had our Vrbo for our own little morning and evening retreat. Nice charming little home, well equipped, comfy bed and seating so it was perfect. Any time back in the area and someone suggests an air mattresses in the basement, we will be booking again!
A beautiful cottage in a perfect spot. Gigi and Joe are phenomenal hosts and made sure we were very comfortable! I will definitely be looking forward to my next trip 🙂
This worked out great. I needed to be in the area and I needed to be able to bring my little dogs. This was perfect. There are 3 bedrooms. 2 with queen beds. We could bring the dogs out the front or back and walk along Trail rd and McKinlay rd. There were lots of dishes, pots and pans, and utensils, a full fridge with freezer. We could easily meet our needs.

Cute cottage getaway!
My friends and I booked this cottage for 2 nights. We loved the location and that it was pet friendly!
It was a lovely cottage, clean with lots of blankets, towels, dishes and everything you'd need!
We however has difficulty getting in contact with the host and we were unable to get the check in procedures which left us confused heading to the cottage and we also we're not given access to the Wifi. Unfortunately this was a big one for us as we had a day where I planned to work from the cottage but was unable to due to the lack of internet. We did book this cottage because of the wifi availability so that was disappointing but overall a very nice place!
Such a soulful cottage with amazing view. Easy to locate and has brilliant amenities..Gigi and her husband are truly warm Canadian hosts who enjoy hosting- which is so evident..our puppy loved running in the fields and she felt so welcomed. This will be our yearly tradition.
Beautifully decorated. Everything you need is provided. About 5 mins from Gores Landing on Hwy 9. Gigi and Jo responded very quickly to any questions we had and they live right next door so it's very convenient.
excellent location to many golf courses. Gigi was very quick to respond to any questions. Property was great for 2 couples with excellent outdoor space and peaceful surroundings. The Alpacas kept us entertained while sitting on the deck. Cottage was well equipped with everything we needed.
It was perfect for a small family reunion of four. The place is cozy, comfortable..lived up to everything it says in the ads. Owners are welcoming & very prompt in attending to our needs. We had a wonderful two nights stay & hope to have the opportunity to return.
Nous y retournerons l’an prochain
Great little peaceful house. I was alone and out quite a bit in the area but the cottage was a great place to come back to for rest and to cook up a quick meal. Quiet, good beds.
This was such a cute cottage.
We had everything we needed. The sheep were so cute. The owner assisted us with everything we needed and answered all of our questions. We will forever be grateful to be able to have a vacation spot with our fur-babies. Will be back again!
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to spend some time at the Lilac Lodge Farm cottage. It is very clean, cozy, comfortable, and well stocked with an abundance of kitchenware, dishcloths, linens and towels.
From every window there are views of cornfields and country settings, and behind at a distance are the owners' cute sheep and rabbits grazing in the pen . There are numerous trails and roads to explore on foot or by bike, and lovely panoramas and spectacular sunsets to take in sitting on the front porch.
The cottage is located in a perfect spot in Northumberland County, very rural but close to Cobourg, Rice Lake, charming little towns, and only a 90 minute drive from Toronto.
Communication with the hosts prior to arrival and throughout my stay was excellent. Both Gigi and Joe are very friendly, helpful, accommodating, and at the same time respectful of their guests' privacy.
The Lilac Lodge Farm cottage was one of my favourite places to stay, and I look forward to returning in the future.
We loved our stay at this beautiful yellow cottage. Very clean and had everything we needed - full kitchen, full bathroom (with the most comfortable tub!), air conditioning, and comfortable beds. Gigi was a great host - responded quickly to questions. Great location too - close to Cobourg Beach, Port Hope ... and a 7 minute drive to the PrimRose Donkey Sanctuary where we got our own private tour. Would definitely stay again!
We really enjoyed the stay. It was peaceful and the surrounding landscape was beautiful. Gigi made us feel very welcome and the cottage was well equipped with everything we needed.
We had a wonderful stay at Gigi's cottage. Kitchen was well stocked with all essentials and utensils. When I forgot to bring my own salt for some cooking I did at the cottage, I asked Gigi if she could spare me some. She was gracious enough to share. There is a nice farmland surrounding the property bringing in cool fresh breeze any time of the day . That and the quietness is something we hardly get in the city. I must say my family and I enjoyed that to the last drop. You have an amazing place Gigi. Thank you for letting us stay.
My friends and I rented the cottage for the weekend and really enjoyed our stay. Everything was comfortable and the place is private and clean. It had everything we needed for a fun weekend. We were able to relax with lots and enjoyed the quiet space with drinks and company. There are even some cute sheep near the property that we enjoyed watching. It was super comfy and homey. Thanks for having us!

The property was nice, but just ok.
Two of the guests have allergies. Therefore, the use of scented products such as bounce drier sheets caused major headaches for them. This is just a suggestion for the owner - only use scent free products in the future.
Also, I think The property description should mention the fact that the bedroom walls are detached from ceilings. Therefore, making it quite difficult for quiet sleeping. (ie: snoring becomes a problem for other guests).
