Communication with host was excellent...all our questions answered right away. The condo was very clean, comfortable queen bed, nice quality toilet paper and paper towels which might not mean much to some but I really appreciate. The location was good, easy access to everything. We parked our car for the entire visit and enjoyed walking. The parking in the back is a little tight but if you get in and leave your vehicle in place you're alright. There is street front parking as well. Expect some morning noise as restaurant dumpsters are being emptied and grease traps cleaned. Overall we had a very nice stay and appreciated the clean tidy condo.
This is in a great location for access to great restaurants, shops, the New Bern Convention Center and other downtown New Bern sites. The unit has the basic needs covered, but no frils. Furniture is not very comfortable and kitchen is minimallystocked. Perfect if you just need access to downtown. But not if you plan to plan to spend much time in the unit.
Overall the stay was enjoyable. It definitely served its purpose. Checking in and out was with ease. Would like to try it out for a few days in a warmer climate.
The location is super. Big bonus is a dedicated parking space behind the building and rear staircase to enter from the back.
Location is in the heart of downtown. Walk basically everywhere. Great restaurants and shops.
We enjoyed our stay!
Great place. One warning - steep steps going up to the place so not great for anyone with a mobility issue. Once inside I thought it was bigger than I expected. Clean and you are in the heart of downtown, easy to walk anywhere you want to go.
The apartment was perfect for what we needed for our long weekend in New Bern for a wedding. It was walking distance to the wedding and also to everything in downtown. We would definitely stay again.
Located in the heart of historic downtown New Bern. Plenty of street parking. Lots of old-time charm, not for you if you are looking for a modern/contemporary feel.
My only critic is that the furniture was old/worn/mismatched, and not so much in a charming way. the kitchen accoutrements, especially the coffee maker, appeared to be leftovers from another home.
However, if you love historic old buildings and can overlook the aforementioned, was great.
Great location, close to everything in town. Very clean and beautiful accommodations. Everything you need in a fantastic Condo.
Walking all around town enjoyed great food at restaurants just a few steps away.
Can’t wait to return.
Loved the location of this VRBO, it was clean and more room than I expected. I was there for work and would love to return for pleasure when I have more time to explore.
The location is great. Right downtown, walkable to everything. However, it was hard to sleep at night. The exhaust fan from the restaurant below is directly outside the bedroom, is very loud, and runs all night. Also, the staff from the bar/restaurant below would go out back near the bedroom after closing and were extremely loud all three nights we were there.
Apartment was in a perfect spot for enjoying downtown. The info about the stairs was helpful in that it is a very long set of stairs to the apartments. Owner was struggling with some rooftop fan noise but was very accommodating and concerned about its impact on us and was working to correct it. It is a renovated historic building. Parking was not an issue for us and there is parking around back, but it’s a little tricky to find at first without instructions. Overall a great spot and with family in the area we are planning on staying here again.
We were right in the heart of downtown; plenty of room, clean. Owner got back to us right away when we asked questions. Would recommend to those who are ok with stairs; you will not be disappointed.
The apartment couldn’t be more ideally situated to walk to shops, restaurants, historic sites, and the waterfront. The owner was very responsive and the off street parking is a real perk. The property itself is a bit dark and the smell of weed in the hallway was ever present. Our only advice if you are going to rent this flat is that it doesn’t really have the basics for cooking your own food. If you are planning a stay and you plan to prepare some of your own meals you will need to bring everything along with you-including a spatula. But if you want to enjoy the local eateries then this is an ideal place. Very clean. Comfy bed. Huge washer and dryer.

I am the proud third generation owner of Branch’s Furniture located just below the condo. I am married with two wonderful children. My hobbies include inshore and offshore fishing and hunting. I enjoy spending time on the water from New Bern to the coast with my family and friends.
Why they chose this property
Perhaps the most convenient property located in the center of our beautifully restored historic business district. I am just below in my furniture store if you need anything at all.
What makes this property unique
I designed an built this condo in 2003 while expanding my family business below. The unit is very quiet and well appointed with heavy moulding, custom cabinets, granite and bronze hardware from England.
