Nice property

Very nice property. Clean and comfortable. For some reason didn’t feel as “homey” as others I’ve stayed at in Fredericksburg. Not as many of the personal touches. That’s the only negative. Would still recommend the property.

Disappointed

The house was the perfect size for our family/birthday celebration. However, I was very disappointed we were not able to use any of the backyard amenities. The grass was too long to enjoy the lawn games and the sand burrs were too much for our pup. When I contacted the owner about the grass, his answer was to use the front yard instead. in addition, we planned on an outdoor bbq Sunday evening, and it turned out there was not any gas for the bbq. We picked this house because of the outdoor amenities, and we weren't able to use any them! Very disappointing.

Perfect in every way!

Our visit to Fredericksburg was great and this house made it better! Minutes from the Main Street in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Everything about the property was as described only better. We would definitely stay here again. Five Stars

Very comfortable, great location

The check-in process was easy and the owner was very nice and responsive when contacted. The house was well stocked with amenities. The house is nice and comfortable. The hot tub looked clean and inviting but the patio and rug was not, it really needed to be swept and washed to make the patio and hot usable. There was also a small drain cover missing in the front yard we had to put a plant over to ensure our Yorkie did not fall in. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property as I am confident the owner can resolve the minor issues.

Great place for family

The house was great for our family of 6 adults. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. We enjoyed the outside games and the gas fire pit. It was conveniently located to the main strip in Fredericksburg. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

After Christmas getaway

The house had everything we needed; and we enjoyed the backyard amenities! The outside patio table was nice to enjoy meals, the hot tub was perfect, and we sat around the gas fire pit and relaxed.

Fun family weekend

Enjoyed our stay at Howler House this weekend with family. House is nicely decorated, well appointed and a great location for exploring the area. The kids loved playing in the hot tub and making s’mores on the fire pit.

This property was perfect for my family and I. We were in town for a wedding and this house worked perfect. It was close enough to main street but far enough away for relaxing.

Clean and comfortable but too far to walk to main.

This was a nice property. Everything inside was clean and in good working condition. Only negatives would be: yard needed to be mowed (but the rain may have prevented it but we had hoped to play some of the yard games provided) and the location was not really close enough to main for us to walk. Management was quick to respond to all questions and provided great food and winery recommendations.

Nice house, good location

This property was exactly what we were looking for. We had 2 couples and a single travelling with 3 small dogs. The house was all tile which was great for the pups. The backyard is fenced and fairly secure. We did have one tiny dog (6 lbs) that could have squeezed under a few places. The kitchen was fully stocked and the seating options inside and out were great. The only improvement would have been if the yard didn't have so many weeds with stickers, but that may have just been the time of the year. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great location, lots of room, big yard

Great stay overall! When we drove up the grass was way past needing to be mowed. We brought small dogs, so it was a little inconvenient, but it was manageable. House was a great location, we never walked to Main Street, but you could have. Everything in that area was a short 2-3 minute drive. House had pretty much everything we needed, Property manager was very easy to contact and in touch with us the entire stay. The only other complaint we had is the trash bins were completely full. Other than that house was great, fully fenced yard for pets, lots of room, great location. We’d definitely stay here again.

Great getaway house

This house was a win for our family, especially since we were traveling with our dog. The house was very clean and well stocked. In addition to having the house stocked with coffee and cooking spices, the owner also left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. The completely fenced front and backyards were our favorite spot, and we made great use of the lawn games, fire pit, and hammock. The few questions we had about the property were answered in a quick and helpful manner. We'd definitely recommend this property!

family weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our getaway weekend. Very close to Main Street, the neighborhood was really nice and went walking everyday. House was very pretty and had everything we needed. Very clean and owners were very easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend this home .

I've been a frequent traveler for many years, and 2017 provided an excellent opportunity to purchase my first vacation rental property. I enjoy providing recommendations to guests and ensuring that they thoroughly enjoy their vacations. I grew up in Kentucky but moved to Texas for my first job out of college and have been here ever since then.

Why they chose this property

This house had several of the elements of an enjoyable vacation property already in place. It has an updated kitchen, tile floors throughout, several built-in drawers, plenty of closet space, ample natural lighting, and an open feel.

What makes this property unique

The size of the backyard was a major plus when deciding to purchase the property. Some people initially think that the yard stops at the cross-fencing and are shocked to learn that the yard actually extends to the wood fence. Having natural gas connections for the fire place, the main fire pit, and the outdoor grill provides convenience and eliminates common tasks like replacing propane tanks and buying firewood.
