Great location for the price.
As others have mentioned a very nice apartment. Nice views of the Wakiki skyline, gardens and glimpse of the beach. Well appointed with a microwave, bar fridge and basic utensils. Nice pool with views a few floors below. Secure car spot, just need to organize with Henry prior. Good central location without the cost, only 10 mins walk to the beach and main shops. Plenty of eating options within a minute from the front door (Ihop next door) and tourist buses stop out the front.

Decent budget priced room
Pros: good budget priced room. Guests can make most of their meals by strategically using the fridge and microwave. Friendly and helpful host. Low cost parking options. Near center of it all in Waikiki. Opportunities : Need to make sure patio is cleaned off for guests, found bird droppings on chairs. Chairs need replacement due to cracks. Pilows and mattress soiled; need to invest in a waterproof bed cover and water proof pillow covers. Room needs to be stocked with more garbage bags and cleaning supplies. Invest in a blackout curtain.

Super convenient location; walkable to beach, shopping and restaurants. Parking is very convenient. This was a clean and comfortable home base to explore the island at a good price.

Paradise Found
The property was very clean, well decorated, updated and perfect for what we needed for a week-long trip. The fridgerator and microwave came very handy and it was nice to have a ice machine at the end of the hall. The property is located in the Aqua Palms hotel which is in a great location near the lagoon, beaches and the rest of the Waikiki area. Free coffee and water was available in the lobby of the hotel. There is also an IHOP that you can get a 20% discount if you show your card key adjacent to the hotel. Overall, this was a great stay and we would definitely book this unit again for the future.

"As advertised"
Front staff very polite, 3 elevators worked well. Room was clean. Could have used more than 2 rolls of TP for the week but not a huge deal. The room was ok for sleeping in but room is dark and street noise is very loud due to location. From our research it is very fair value compared to what is out there. I would recommend it for those who need a clean base of operations but don't intend on spending a lot of time in their room.

Great location in Honolulu!
Sorry for posting this review so late! We stayed at this location on October 2015. Our first time in Hawaii. We wanted to spend time in Honolulu and also be near Waikiki beach. This location was perfect for us. The room is located in a hotel (The Palms) and the owner (Henry) bought the room and now rents it out. So it's a standard hotel room setup. It's very cozy and we loved it. There is a small balcony with nice views of the busy street and surrounding buildings and you can even see the ocean a bit through the buildings. Henry even arrange a parking pass for us and was very accommodating and provided good information to us. We discovered a restaurant just down the street from the hotel 'Wailana Coffee House' , we loved this place! Lots of old school vibe, great service and good food! Oh, and $4 Mai Tai's! There is also an 'iHop' restaurant just nearby, and we did try going there one morning, but we waited, and waited, and waited for service and finally left to go to 'Wailana Coffee House' instead! Waikiki beach is not too far away and the walk is easy. This is also the location of the famous 'Diamond Head' point. We wanted to climb it but finally we just looked at it from our spot on the beach! Waikiki beach is very nice and busy with lots of people and nice swimming. We really enjoyed walking around the area and had some good 'shave ice' here. And also visited a few 'ABC' stores! We loved the area and staying at this location. It was cool to be so close to the action. The room is small and really cozy. The small balcony is nice to sit at and check out the views of busy Honolulu.

This property is perfectly well-located.
The view from the balcony is wonderful. You can even see the ocean! Comfortable bed, good shower, excellent a.c., and large-screen t.v. Food options are literally out the front door with lots of fun things to see and do right across the street. I really enjoyed my stay. The owners are very pleasant and helpful.

MOST ENJOYABLE
I always enjoy staying at The Palms because it's close to where I need to be while in Honolulu, and I can walk, without having to rent a car. The staff are all very friendly, and it's just a nice low key efficient place to stay. Rose (the owner) was a very gracious host, and it was an overall very pleasant experience.

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient, and cheap (reasonably priced)
My husband and I lived in Hawaii earlier in our lives, and we have returned for stays of various lengths of time since then. We rate the place as the most convenient place we have ever stayed. We use the bus exclusively while on Oahu. This place is easy walking distance to Ala Moana Shopping Center which is a stopping point for a majority of the buses on the island. The owner was very professional. And to top it off, we had a lovely view of Diamond Head. The one negative would be that it is on a very busy street and the flow of traffic lasts well into the night and begins very early in the morning.. Therefore, it is necessary to sleep with the sliding door to the balcony closed and the air conditioner and or air purifier running in order to cut down the noise level. For us this did not outweigh the convenience factor in a choice of a place to stay. We hope to stay here many more times in the future.

good for mid season
The place is located inside an hotel, so the room will be similar to other rooms within the hotel. The room was clean which is the most important. The bath tub could use an upgrade, but the shower head was fine. There was enough space for 2 people and our suit cases, it could fit another 2 people, as the sofa can be pulled out. They don't provide shampoo or shower gel, they only provide hand soap. There are towels, and some snorkeling gear which I am guessing people have left behind. There is a toaster, but personally I would had prefer a hot water kettle. The microwave, fridge and coffee maker are handy. They also provide some dishes, but over time the sets are not complete. Booking this does save one money as you get free parking and wiifii, and not having to pay a daily resort fee.

Great place to sat whIle being in Honolulu
Great small place to stay while being in Honolulu. Close to shopping, Waikiki and the beach. Clean, comfortable and well situated. Would have given it 5 stars if it had a kitchenette. Inclusive parking was a big plus.

Just minutes from the Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon for watching the Friday fireworks!
Everything was (working) as described, free parking, free wireless, place was clean etc., no complaints from my side. The bed was in fact the best of the three accomodations we had during our vacation on Oahu and Big Island. The accomodation is large enough to comfortably fit 2 + heaps of luggage. The owner patiently waited for us in the lobby until we arrived at around 11pm. For a stay in downtown Honolulu I can recommend this accomodation anytime. Even with downtown Honolulu traffic just 4 stories below, with lanai doors shut, it's quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. And for all this, the price is more than fair.

Affordable, convenient, comfortable hotel/condo
We are from a neighboring island & were visiting for a long weekend. Rose met us promptly for check-in, gave us a quick tour & parking pass. The room was decorated more like a home than a hotel, which we appreciated. Microwave& refrigerator with all the necessary cutlery& dishes provided. Nice bathroom& shower/tub. Our son slept on the pullout couch & had no complaints. The bed was a softer memory foam than our Tempurpedic, but better than most hotel beds. Plenty of pillows& extra linen. Hard line for internet, cable tv. Nice view of diamond head& glimpse of ocean through the Hilton towers. Balcony was perfect spot to watch the fireworks. Easy access to restaurants, shopping, beaches. We will definitely be back for our next stay-cation. Thanks Henry& Rose!

VRBO Waikiki
My husband and I arrived early, 11am and check in is 4pm which we respect. We were told by owner to go to Bell Man and he would hold our luggage for us until then. The Bell Man refused to hold our bags in the beginning because we were not guests of The establishment we were with VRBO. We called the owner and after he spoke with the Bell man he then agreed to hold our bags for us. The owners wife contacted us later and we were able to get in at 2pm instead of 4pm which was nice. However, we were disappointed when we found out the pool has been under renovation since mid January and we were not notified. We booked our VRBO Jan. 4th. That was one of the main reason we booked this VRBO because it had a roof top pool. We figured after a long day of touring and going to the beach it would be nice to relax around the pool. We voiced our opinion to the owner and he said, " things happen unexpectantly" and no compensation was given. We probably would of cancelled if we would of know this. The VRBO is on a busy street, Ala Moana Blvd. and is very noisy all the time. However it is close to the bus line and across the street from the "Hilton Hawaiin Village" which is close to Waikiki Beach. (Abt 3 blocks)

Good value, Great location
The studio is located opposite from Hilton Hawaii village, therefor location is good, bed is comfortable, linen and towels very clean and fresh, great views from the small balcony to the city skyline and partial Diamond head and a bit of the ocean. We never got to meet Henry, but he was very prompt and answered my questions right away. He even called us to see if everything was ok...Thanks Henry! Overall a good value for a Waikiki stay on a tight budget!

Amazing find on Waikiki!
This place was amazing and Henry was great to work with. The room is perfect! It is a very short walk to the beach. Close to a ton of restaurants! Great Happy Hour at the Coffee Shop (24 hours) that is in the same building. They also have wonderful food. The free parking is great...just be aware the ramps are very narrow so don't rent a huge car and go slow! The pool was out of commission when we went but would probably have never used it. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice for a few days
Henry and his wife were very accommodating. They met us a little early so we could do a few things that afternoon and could get on the road. It was nice having a parking spot since finding parking in Waikiki is very limited. Room was just as stated. Staying there with a ton a luggage we were a little cramped but we also were on vacation foe a total of 2 weeks so this required quite a bit of luggage. A few nites with 2 people and alot of luggage was long enough. We stayed 3 nights and everything we went to in Waikiki was within walking distance. We went to IHOP every am for coffee.. Very convenient right next store. The only suggestion I would give is we had no beach towels available so we had to take the "hotel" towels to the beach and also no wash clothes available. Thanks again for your hospitality.
