Come relax in our renovated Ocean View Beach House! We are proud and excited to say Crystal Beach is back!

Hurricane Ike tried to destroy us but we came back even better!

Enjoy the spectacular beach views and listen to the ocean. Paradise on Salt Cedar is 3rd sleeping area doesn't have a door) and 2 bathrooms, two story home, located easy walking distance steps from the ocean. It is the perfect getaway beach house with SPECTACULAR Gulf views.

This home features a two story covered deck and some uncovered area on first level. It is colorfully decorated featuring wood floors downstairs and carpet in downstairs bedroom and upstairs. The master downstairs has a King bed, private bath, flat screen tv and door out to downstairs covered and uncovered deck. The second bedroom has 2 queen beds, flat screen tv with door out to upstairs covered deck. The 3rd sleeping area has day bed with trundle to make two (2) twins or put them together to make a king bed and it also has a door out to the upstairs deck.

The kitchen has granite counters and stone backsplash. The living area has a table and chairs great for dinning or puzzles as well as a big flat screen tv. There is satellite, wifi and 2 charcoal grills. It's a short walk to the large family friendly beach and very close to restaurants and Big Store. WELCOME TO PARADISE!

BEACH HOUSE RENTAL RULES
1. We want our renters to enjoy their stay and build memories so we want to make sure you understand our rules prior to your booking. here are our rental rules
2. Please download and read Rental Agreement prior to booking.
3. There must be an adult at the house always while occupied with children. We don’t allow parents to rent house for their children. We do not rent to prom, graduation, weddings, birthdays or any other type of party groups. WE ONLY RENT TO FAMILY’s.
4. No Pets are allowed in house. If we find out, you brought a pet, you will lose your deposit.
5. The house sleeps 8 in beds and can only accommodate a maximum of eight (8) people total, day or night including children with a limit of only Six (6) of the eight (8) over 18 years of age. No daytime visitors that would exceed maximum of 8 people total. We will list the occupants on the rental agreement. If the renter violates this rule, the police will come and ask you to leave and will you forfeit the remainder of your rental, including damage deposit.
6. If the police are called to the house for any reason you will be asked to leave and you will forfeit the entire rental, including damage deposit.
7. You will need to bring your own sheets and towels and any items you will need at the beach. Please leave our chairs on our deck.
8. No smoking is allowed in house or on our decks.
9. We don’t charge a cleaning fee. We provide cleaning supplies and you will need to clean the house prior to checkout. Please leave the house as you found it and make sure all garbage is bagged and in the trash cans provided and make sure all dishes and plates are put up or in dish washer and clean before you leave.
10. The booking cost is 50% of rental fee plus $400.00 for deposit at time of booking. The remainder rent is due 30 days before the arrival date. If your check-in is within 30 days, 100% of deposit, rental and service fee is due at booking. The $400.00 deposit will be refunded if cancellation is made within 30-day notice prior check-in date.
11. There will be other check-out and cleaning instructions on the refrigerator in the kitchen area of the house. Check-in time is 3:00PM and checkout time is 12:00PM. Any late checkouts must be approved in writing or will result in forfeit the damage deposit.

BOOKING AND RENTAL PROCESS
(PLEASE REVIEW RENTAL AGREEMENT AND THE RENTAL PROCESS BELOW BEFORE YOU BOOK)
1. Once you book the reservation will be sent to the owner.
2. The owner will accept the reservation and send you an e-mail with their contact information.
3. You will need to have phone conversation with owner to review rental rules, number of guests and check-in / check-out/cleaning procedures.
4. After the phone conversation, the owner will send you a completed rental agreement filled out with your name, dates of rental and number of guests
5. You will need to send signed agreement, copy of driver’s license via e-mail within 7 days or your reservation will be cancelled.

Crystal Beach Getaway

The house was awesome 😎 and we enjoyed the beach 🏖️ tremendously!! Everything was clean and modern with a large kitchen and unique upstairs shower. All in all we had a nice time at the beach 🏝️. The surrounding community was great with lots of sites to see and restaurants. The beach house was lovely and amenities were great! Everyone liked spending time in the large outdoor space! We will definitely come back the next time we head to the beach! Thanks so much for everything!

Relaxing & Clean!!

Mike is a very inviting host! He made sure we understood our responsibilities as renters, as well as advised us on several household rules and expectations. The property was easy to find and was very clean when we arrived! Mike had open communication with us in the event we needed anything or had additional questions/concerns during our stay. The location was a quick 5 minute walk to the beach, and during the day was a prime location that wasn’t crowded! The house was decorated beautifully and was very cozy, pictures do not give it justice! It has a TON of space, and the layout worked wonderfully for our family. There was privacy downstairs and upstairs, so everyone was able to enjoy their time. The location is also excellent for shopping/food/entertainment on Crystal beach! Would consider staying here next time we visit! Thanks Mike!

Family Vacation

My mother, my 2 children and 2 nieces stayed at this property for a family vacation. We had plenty of room for each of us. We enjoyed the underneath area of the home after returning from the beach. The beach was close and accessible. We would love to stay again in the future.

Great Family Spot

Took my family for a few days and this place was great. Very close to the beach. Can see and hear the waves from the balcony. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. Would recommend.

Great location for beach access and family area. The houses are spaced enough to not feel cramped by neighbors and the kids felt comfortable. Sweet little house for a family. This was our second time to stay and we will rent again. The owners are always accessible and can give an unknown to the area recommendations if needed.

This house is located on the quieter end of the beach. The house was perfect and had everything we needed in the kitchen (including a drawer full of towels & a tea pitcher). Mike was always quick to respond to all messages and even called to make sure we got there ok.

The property was great and very nice but overtly burdensome. Too many hoops to jump through with owner. I have rented many homes prior with other sites and didn't have to go through talking on the phone, reminder of rules, etc

Peaceful Getaway

Spring break on the beach away from the Galveston spring break crowd. The house was well-appointed and clearly had a family history. The neighborhood was quiet and the beach was never crowded. We felt at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great get away

The house is wonderful! Two bedrooms with enough room to sleep 6 adults. The atmosphere was very comfortable as well as the beds. The neighborhood is quiet which was perfect for my family as we had two small children with us. The property owner was very detailed in their instructions for the property and communicated well with us. The outside decks were perfect for relaxing and having morning coffee or just sitting outside to enjoy the breeze. This will be my first choice next time I go back to crystal beach.

Amazing for a family…

The owner is wonderful and clarifies everything from the get go including what we needed to app bring. The view is soooo amazing and wonderful. Everything is clean and the neighborhood is quiet. You can see the beach from the house. You clean the house before leaving which helps on the $$ end also. The cleaning supplies r provided which makes it even easier. I HIGHLY recommend staying here. It’s kid friendly as my kids r 12 & 15 yrs old. We will be back next year.

Family beach time

Was a bit hesitant to rent a place with a ferry involved, but it turned out not to be an issue. It was also nice to have a beach to drive to with your car and be able to park on the beach. A first for us. The house worked perfect for us with plenty of space for everyone. Parents downstairs with kids upstairs. We enjoyed staying at the beach while the kids drove in to Galveston to do Schlitterbahn and Moody gardens. Nice and updated house with great appliances. Nice wood floors downstairs that were easy to keep clean. Owner communicated and answered any questions in a timely fashion. We Definitely enjoyed our first time staying in Bolivar and liked the slower pace as compared to staying in Galveston. Great house for beach family time!

Completely met our needs!

Admittedly I had some worries about this property after seeing other recent reviews. I found this owner to be very upfront about the property and some of the things they do differently than other rentals. We booked this well in advance and planned accordingly for this. (Bringing sheets, blankets, towels, beach items, etc.) My husband and I were looking for an easy getaway from Southwest OK. We LOVE the beach and so do our babes, age 4 and 7. Access to the beach was ridiculously easy. We walked several times and drove down to the beach other times. House was clean upon our arrival and some cleaning supplies had been left by previous renters. We brought bleach wipes, paper towels and toilet paper. Glad we did, but there are several stores on Crystal Beach that have these items too. There were plenty of pots, pans, dishes and silverware to use, though some pots were in a little rough shape but still very usable. Only concern was there were quite a few ants throughout the home. Not sure if this is just normal for being a beach house, but definitely need to be cautious of eating at the table or bar, not leaving crumbs and cleaning up sink/counter regularly. Overall, we were able to achieve our vacation goals - do very little, relax, nap and enjoy the beach. We would stay again in the future, I think!

Peaceful Stay

This was just what we were looking for, a smaller house for family in a quiet neighborhood with beach access. We loved that the decks are shaded in the afternoon. (Great napping spot!) The view has not been completely obstructed by new constructuon yet. This was the 1st place we have stayed where there was no cleaning service. We liked avoiding the cleaning fee but we did have to clean some on our arrival (not everyone has the same definition of clean). Also, you must allow time on departure day to clean thoroughly--it takes time to vacuum, sweep, clean bathrooms, frig, etc for the next guests. The kitchen was great. The decor very nice. The upstairs worked well for our younger family while the grandparents stayed down and avoided the additional stairs. The upstairs shower drain was a pain and an apparent sketchy previous cleaning job (by my standards) were our only complaints. The owner communicates well and gives helpful suggestions if needed. We will definately consider staying here again!

Good location and space for price, lack of professional cleaning and basic amenities brought it down

The location was close to the beach and a nice quiet neighborhood. The amount of beds and space was the reason we chose this house. We had to clean when we first got there because it was unclean and then again when we left per checkout rules. None of the skillets seemed safe to use so we had to go buy our own along with handsoap for the bathrooms. The owner is very nice but we just can't get past the cleaning to stay here again.

Great deck!!!

Great deck, spent most of our time out there. Got sun during the day and nice breeze at night!!!! Unfortunately the property is not as described! It’s definitely not a 3 bedroom! Upkeep and cleaning wasn’t as expected…The out door shower had a heavy rusted grill in the middle of it and jam packed with random items so not possible to shower. When you walk in the door the place is very warm but once u sit on the couches u see there are stains from others eating, the kitchen table was sticky like tacky glue which doesn’t come off. You go to cook and the cabinets are jam packed with random dishes, Tupperware etc finding it hard to find anything. We walk upstairs and u see there is not 2 bedrooms but a bedroom and hallway day bed with chaise lounge! The day bed broken and didn’t stay up to make a king so u would have to put the 2 mattresses on the floor to sleep. Both mattresses weren’t the same height so very uncomfortable for my brother and his wife!!!! There were candy wrappers when bed was moved from past guests and finger and lip marks all over the sliding door window as if someone was looking in and holy screen doors. I’m assuming kids did. The sockets also didn’t work on the one wall in the hallway bedroom too! Upstairs bathroom is so low a 6’4 man wasn’t able to shower comfortably in. The shower had molded grout and black mold in toilet! The floors hadn’t been mopped nor were counter tops! Window sills had dead bugs black mold as well! The whole island had a power outage 7am-7pm which ended up not coming on til the next day!!! Due to misquotes and holy screens we couldn’t leave doors open for fresh air!!! We made due to not ruin the weekend but man oh man am I upset!!!

We have owned property in Crystal Beach for over a decade. Prior to Hurricane Ike we owned three beach houses, Taylor's Treasure, Lazy Daze and At Ease. All three were total losses after the storm so we decided to purchase property in the Texas Hill Country but we missed the beach.

Why they chose this property

We missed the Beach but we weren’t sure we wanted to build from scratch so our realtor for over 10 years, Kelli Untermeyer with Cobb Real Estate found this hurricane Ike survivor with no damage from the storm. We added 800 square feet and made it a 2 story beach house. So we are 1500 sq. ft. inside and 1200 sq. ft. of decking with great ocean views with a short walk to a large family friendly beach.
