Peaceful Stay
This property was on a nice gravel backroad. Some cars would go by pretty fast for our liking as our kids were hoping to ride their bikes down the road, so we had to be watchful of that. Small property and the river was nice to watch but not ideal for fishing as my kids were hoping. Inside the house it was beautiful with big windows in the back to watch the river. The porch on the second level was nice to sit out and watch wildlife. My kids favorite part was the shower as it warmed up quick compared to ours back at home. We were in and out most days sightseeing in the U.P. and at Onaway Speedway for the Big Rig Challenge. Travel time was not bad at all for where we stayed. Defiantly a nice place to stay. We thought this place had more acreage and were a bit discouraged when we saw how close the neighbors were. But they were friendly and welcoming. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to others.

Awesome vintage cabin on the river
This is a really cool property with a great view of the river nearby. Huge fireplace with tons of firewood, interior decor is definitely vintage, but I think charming now. I would definitely stay here again!

Girls Trip-Had a Blast!
The property was just as described and completely suited our needs. The 6 of us ladies had a great time, even though, the weather didn’t quite cooperate. We were able to kayak one day, and really enjoyed the river. A few of us did a little trout fishing, and we all took walks everyday. We used the grill and the grate over the fire pit. We also used the fireplace two nights because it was cold for August. We had an entire day to watch movies because it rained. We plan to make this an annual girls trip, and hope to rent the same wonderful cabin again-but this time for a longer stay!

Northern Michigan Beauty
We LOVED our time here. The river frontage was so peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed just sitting by the water. We also spent lots of time on the spacious deck. The cabin was lovely. The high ceilings and many windows are amazing. Well appointed kitchen. Lots of space to spread out. We also enjoyed an exhilarating kayak adventure. Thank you!!

Mackinac Vacation
This was summer vacation for my teens, they really enjoyed the assortment of old movies on DVD and the card games. They were so comfortable that we spent 2 days just relaxing and playing card games which never happens at home. It was also convenient to Mackinac City for sight seeing.

Peaceful and Convenient
William Douglas was very responsive to all inquiries. The property is so peaceful, the neighbors and their dog, Sturgeon, is very friendly and quickly became pals with our dog. We slepted 6 adults (unexpected surprise to have Grandma and Grandpa join us for an evening) and one teenager very comfortably. The one shower in the upstairs Jack and Jill restroom was a bit tricky but we made due. Nothing was needed as there are plenty of cooking vessels and utensils, dishes, pitchers, and even a crockpot! There was also no need to worry about finding firewood as the host provides ample for lengthy bonfires. We were visiting for our sons high school bass fishing tournament and had not difficulties parking our bass boat in the drive with an electrical outlet conveniently located to easy charging. Very happy with our stay and we will certainly return.
