Your renewing retreat at The Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas is a stylish two-bedroom villa that comfortably accommodates as many as eight adults in up to 1,330 square feet. A year-round treasure, the Beaver Creek area provides the best in alpine adventure during the cooler months and reveals stunning mountain beauty as the snow fades in spring and summer. Come for world-class skiing, tubing, ice skating, snowboarding and sleigh rides from mid-November to mid-April. Then delight in warm-weather fun like fly-fishing, kayaking and whitewater rafting on the Eagle River. There is also hiking, biking, horseback riding, golf, hot-air balloon rides and Jeep tours. When looking for a little rest and relaxation, stroll the Ski Museum or Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. Rodeos and annual festivals add local flavor and plenty of uplifting family fun you won’t want to miss.
Skiing Information:
Winter activities take place from mid-November to mid-April, depending on snow conditions. For world-class downhill skiing, guests can access Beaver Creek Mountain via the Riverfront Express Gondola outside our back door or via free Beaver Creek shuttles that operate from 7am to 11pm daily. Schedules vary.
Mountain access varies based on time of season, but is typically between 9am and 4pm. Beaver Creek Sports, on site, offers a variety of equipment rental packages for downhill skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. Lift tickets can be purchased at the Vail Resorts Lift Ticket Office at the top of the Riverfront Express Gondola. Ski and Snowboard School is available through Vail Resorts for ages 3 and up; reservations are not required but recommended.
Guests can ski Vail Mountain on the Beaver Creek lift ticket. Vail Mountain is 9 miles from the resort, and transportation options include the Vail Valley ECO Transit System, which operates daily from 6am to 2am and costs 3 USD one way from Avon to Vail. Guests may also drive to Vail via Interstate 70; parking is available in the Village for a daily price. Fees vary based on season.
Copper Mountain is 20 miles east of Avon and can be accessed by car; no other transportation options are available. Summit County is 30 miles away and offers skiing at Breckenridge, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin Mountains. A bus leaves from the Vail Valley Transit Center to Summit County once a day; schedules and pricing vary by season. Aspen and Snowmass mountains are each located 100 miles from Avon.
Summer Activities:
Summer activities abound in the Vail Valley. Step out the door for trail biking, fly fishing, or hiking. Sync your visit with a fun summer festival. Horseback riding is available on Beaver Creek Mountain, and rafting or jeep tours are easy to find.
Onsite bike rental is available at Beaver Creek Sports for cruising on the path along the Eagle River into Edwards or Vail, or for a leisurely ride around Avon or up to Beaver Creek Village. Reservations are not required.
Gore Creek Fly Fisherman, our onsite fly-fishing guide, offers daily clinics as well as guided trips in our backyard or to other fabulous Colorado fishing spots. Reservations can be made through the concierge.
Trails
Guests can head out the back door up Beaver Creek Mountain for a variety of hiking trails for beginners and those who are more adventurous, or opt for the trailheads of Colorado’s Fourteeners by car.
Whitewater Rafting & Jeep Tours
Several tour operators offer whitewater rafting beginning as early as May through the end of September. The tour operators provide equipment and transportation on a variety of trips for families and those who want more adventure. Children as young as 2 years old may go on float trips. Reservations are required.
Jeep tours are also available through the same tour operators. See some of the most panoramic views in the Valley, including fields of wildflowers and possible wildlife. Reservations are required.
Horseback Riding
Horseback riding is offered on Beaver Creek Mountain (2 miles away), with reservations, for ages 7 and up. Beaver Creek Rodeo takes place every Thursday evening, June 18 through August 20, and offer a wonderful family show within walking distance of the resort. Admission is free for children 12 and younger, 5 USD for ages 13 to 17, and 15 USD per Adult. No reservations are needed.
XTERRA & Ironkids Triathlons
For athletic guests, the Beaver Creek XTERRA Triathlon takes place in July, and Ironkids Triathlon is held on Labor Day weekend in the Town of Avon.
Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas has 3 restaurants and also features a bar/lounge. High-speed wireless Internet access is complimentary. A business center is on site at this 4.0-star property. In addition to a full-service spa, Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas features ski-in/ski-out access, a health club, a spa tub, and a sauna. This family-friendly villa property also offers a seasonal outdoor pool, a fitness facility, and a steam room. Wedding services, tour/ticket assistance, and currency exchange can be provided. Onsite parking is available (surcharge).
Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas offers 68 guest rooms. Rooms feature river or mountain views. Beds features signature bedding. Rooms are furnished with sofa beds and desks. Televisions come with cable channels and DVD players. Complimentary wired and wireless high-speed Internet access is provided along with phones, CD players, and in-room safes (accommodate laptops). Full-sized refrigerators/freezers, microwaves, and coffee/tea makers are provided. Bathrooms include bathrobes, makeup/shaving mirrors, and hair dryers. Washers/dryers, separate sitting areas, and air conditioning are also included. Housekeeping is provided and wake-up calls can be requested. Cribs (infant beds) and rollaway beds are also available.
The Covid-19 pandemic is considered a foreseeable risk. By accepting this rental agreement and providing payment information, the guest acknowledges and accepts the risk that the pandemic may prevent travel or occupancy of the rental unit and that this will not serve as a basis for requesting a refund. Unavailable amenities, pool, beach, theme park, etc. does not merit a refund. The VRBO calendar helps provide availability and estimated price quote. Always inquire with the agent and do not reserve airfare until your confirmation has been received. Any issues with resort service, accommodations, physical plant, amenities, etc. are the direct responsibility of the developer and must be handled through the resort, not OM Villas. Photos are thought to be truly representative of the resort and accommodations. Any variation from the photo and actual property are unintentional, so guests are encouraged to do their own due diligence prior to reserving. Any variance or disruption including but not limited to renovation, unavailable amenity, change in decor, etc. during the stay, whether announced prior to reservation, occurring during the stay or announced after confirmation, is a matter strictly between the guest and resort, are not deceptive advertising, breach of contract or the responsibility of OM Villas. Note that the images are representative of this villa and that a specific view type is not implied nor promised by virtue of the images. A specific view category must be addressed with rental agent. OM Villas reserved the right to reserve any view category unless one has been agreed upon in writing. The resort confirmation will show the view designation and the villa will be placed within that view category unless, in a rare instance the view will be noted as "not guaranteed" in which case the resort reserves the right to place the guest anywhere within the property. Issues regarding view within the guaranteed view category are to be addressed with the resort management as OM Villas is not responsible for villa placement. Please be advised that if a non-domestic credit card is used to reserve a vacation rental, additional fees may be incurred. All details are accurate to the best of our knowledge.
