About this property

Family Cottage Steps from the Beach!

This classic New England cottage is the perfect family retreat in a private beach community. Enjoy your coffee on the front porch while you watch the sun rise over the Bay. Kayak through the backwaters in the morning and lounge on any one of our three beaches in the afternoon. At low tide, watch the kids crab while you relax with a book. When it's high tide, break out the floats or swim to the raft. In the evenings, play croquet or bocce on the lawn while dinner grills on the back patio. After dinner, take a bike ride around the Point or play one of our many vintage boardgames. Black Point Beach Association has many amenities, including the Black Point Market, tennis courts, a basketball court, a playground, and a boat launch.

Niantic has great restaurants, a beautiful boardwalk, shops, a children's museum and movie theater. It is also only a 30 minute drive from the many attractions of southeastern Connecticut: the outlet malls in Clinton and Westbrook, the casinos Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, the state parks Hammonasset and Rocky Neck, Mystic Seaport and Aquarium, Jonathan Edwards Vineyards and Fox Farm Brewery, and much more!

If you're planning a getaway shorter than a week in June or September, please get in touch with us. We may be able to make it work!

Great place to unwind

Our family had a great time enjoying all that the property and the area have to offer, from kayaking, biking, walking to lazing at the beach. Perfect place to unwind, with plenty of space indoor and out to relax.

Relaxing Vacation

We had my two sons, daughters in laws, and 4 grandchildren ages 6 - 12 for our first visit to CT. It was wonderful and relaxing family time. The beach was a short walk and the weather was perfect. We went to the submarine museum, Mystic shops, Flanders Seafood restaurant, and outlet shopping. All had a great time!

Great Getaway!

We had a wonderful time at the property! It was just what we needed, the house has plenty of space and bathrooms! It's a quick walk to a quaint private beach and the house provides plenty to bring to the beach as well! I enjoyed coffee each morning from the screened in porch and walks around Black Point! The kids absolutely loved it and the beach was perfect for them!

Summer 2019

We thoroughly enjoyed our months stay at this beach cottage. It was large enough to fit our growing family. Fun was had by all and we are looking forward to returning in the summer if 2020!

Wonderful location. Great stay.

We had a wonderful stay. The house worked out very well for our extended family. Being close to the beach was great. Sitting on the porch was so relaxing. All in all, we had a fantastic time.

Awesome vacation!

We were staying with family in CT and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! Rain or shine (and we had some rain) it was wonderful. The porch overlooking the beach was especially nice. Any questions were quickly answered by the owners too! Use of the beach chairs and toys, kayak and bikes was a great bonus (I recommend the Around the Point bike ride). The only improvement we might suggest are a few inside kids toys for rainy days. Thanks for a great place to stay!!

Great property, great location

This cottage had plenty of room and all the essentials. We loved relaxing in the screened in porch. Only downside of the stay was that we had a heat wave at the beginning of the week and it would have been nice to have more air conditioners.

Lovely beach house near the water, everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay again

Love this beach house and location, many extras, beach chairs, bikes, kayaks. The porch is a beautiful place to relax and look out at the ocean. We hope to return in the coming years.

We had a great time

Cozy and clean with that New England beach feel. Walk to the beach and walk to the Black Point Market for breakfast or lunch. For a small house it had plenty of room but our favorite spot was the screened porch with views of Niantic Bay and Long Island Sound.

Nancy, Abby, and Sarah have spent their summers in Black Point since childhood. As our family has grown and spread out, though, we haven't gotten to enjoy the Beach House as often as we'd like, so we want to share it with you!

Why they chose this property

This property has been in our family for three generations. The private beaches and the quaint New England town with its shops and restaurants make it the perfect family getaway.
