THE TRABUCCO HOUSE:
Amazingly preserved and well maintained, this home was built in 1932 in the Spanish Colonial style (Santa Barbara style). This beautiful, secluded home features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
With unique and ample features to which no other Yosemite area home can compare, this property features a Mexican tile lined swimming pool, basketball and volleyball court, private balcony, courtyards, outdoor kitchen and living areas, two ponds, Spanish style water fountain, spectacular lush gardens, outdoor fireplace, and spacious patios. All of this tucked in the heart of Mariposa…within walking distance to shops and activities.
LIVING, DINING AND KITCHEN AREAS:
Much of the home features original beautiful oak floors; oak beamed ceilings grace the living room with original hand painted flowers. The living room showcases a wood-burning fireplace with the original 1932 copper screen. The light fixtures in the entry and leading up the staircase are hand forged scenes from the past.
The dining room seats 8 comfortably and closes off completely for privacy with the original French doors.
With kitchen renovation in 2009, the authenticity of the 1932 era was maintained while providing a very modern, custom kitchen. The kitchen features granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, warming drawer, farm sink, prep sink, pot filler, gas Wolf stove top, and Sub-Zero refrigerator.
BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS:
Two spacious bedrooms are located downstairs and share a bathroom while one identical bedroom is upstairs with a second bathroom. The upstairs bedroom has a door opening onto a patio that overlooks the pool area and is equipped with rocking chairs to enjoy your morning coffee. The bedrooms are each beautifully and uniquely decorated.
The bathrooms have the original ceramic tile that was popular in 1932; one with yellow and black and the other with art deco styled pink, green and black. Very fun! Both are full baths with the upstairs having a large separate soaking tub.
GROUNDS:
Surrounded by Palm, Deadora, Cedar, Pine, Olive, Plum, and Almond trees makes for a very private setting. The magnificent vegetation attracts numerous birds. During the “dog days of summer” you can escape the heat by cooling off in the private pool, sitting under the covered patio, or enjoying the natural shade provided by the canopy.
