Immaculately clean, relaxing retreat convenient to the best of Harbor Country!

Eventide House is walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants and marina and the beach. It is also just a few blocks away from a municipal park, track field, tennis courts, and small skate board park. After a day of exploring, you can rest well knowing that we pride ourselves on giving the house a deep cleaning* between guests.

Amenities of this home include large decks that are perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or dining al fresco. The interior is airy and fresh with beach-inspired colors and décor. The first floor consists of an open, sunny kitchen and dining area that look out over the back yard and deck; an open living room, and two well-appointed bedrooms with double beds and a full bath. The second level boasts a large master suite with double bed and private half-bath. Comfortably accommodates six guests. Quiet neighborhood. This cottage sits on 3 lots giving plenty of room to run around. Let your vacation begin!

*Please read our reviews! We already keep the home impeccably clean, but have added extra sanitizing measures as well as at least 48 hours (typically 72-hours +) spacing between reservations to keep guests safe and comfortable. Hope to host you soon!

Great spot. Quiet neighborhood.

This property is close to downtown New Buffalo but located on a quiet street. It was perfect for our group of 4 adults 2 children. We could easily walk to restaurants, grocery store, breweries. House is very clean. Less than 20 minute walk to the public beach.

Lovely & Clean

We enjoyed our stay at your lovely home. Upon arrival, the home was clean and as described. Beds were comfortable and the home had everything we needed. We especially loved the deck! We didn’t use the grill, but was a great option. Walking distance to town for groceries and restaurants. Will definitely be back!

New Buffalo is the cutest beach town! Our house was only a couple blocks off the Main Street and less than a 5 minute drive to the beach.

Cute little house and great location

Place was as advertised and very clean. Location was short walk to town so it was nice to not have to get in our car once we got to the house. Owners were responsive whenever we reached out to them. I would recommend this place.

Great Weekend Getaway

Eventide House was the perfect place for a quaranteam of 4 ladies to enjoy time away from the city. Given the pandemic, choosing to travel is nerve racking. The second we entered the house, any hesitation to leave our homes immediately washed away. This house felt safe and very clean, with masks and hand sanitizer available upon entry. Also, there was plenty of room indoors and outdoors that we never felt cramped for space (admittedly even in non-pandemic times, I like personal space!). The owners were always prompt to answer questions and very pleasant. We were really glad we chose Eventide House and highly recommend!

Great weekend getaway

Chris and Jolie’s house was the perfect weekend away. The house was very clean and exactly as listed. It is very close to the town of New Buffalo allowing us to walk to the beach, restaurant and shops! Chris and Jolie were easy to communicate with and even accommodated us to get into the property early. Definitely recommend!

What a wonderful place to say with our young family! The house is sparkling clean, the hosts are attentive and reply quickly, and it's well stocked for a family with young children. Everything you can think of that makes traveling with your kids easier, well the hosts have already thought of it for you! Children's books and games, a pack-n-play, kiddie plates and cups, and a large yard for them to play in! Add the wonderful beach just a short distance away and you cannot find a better place to enjoy a long, relaxing weekend with your kids.

Family getaway

Wonderful vacation home! This property exceeded our expectations! It was perfect for 5 adults and a toddler. The back deck was an extra bonus as the toddler had room to play while the adults relaxed. The house was clean, organized and had everything and more that we needed. The owners were excellent with communication! Perfect location for a quick walk into New Buffalo.

Very relaxing and comfortable

The house is wonderful and has everything you need. The beach is about a 15 minute walk. There are restaurants within minutes walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our ladies weekend. It went by too fast! The owners were great and very helpful with things to do. I highly recommend this property!

Exceptionally clean in a great location!

We loved our stay at this little cottage! It was in a great location and had everything you would need. Even a few extra special perks like coffee. Which was much appreciated. We enjoyed the deck and the quaint beach feel of this home. If you are looking for a place to relax and catch up with family, this is it. If we get back to this area we wouldn’t hesitate for moment to stay here again!

Perfect!

Very nice.

The house is perfect for any getaway. Everything you need is there even a washer and dryer which is a major plus for longer stays. We stayed for about a month and had no complaints. Quiet neighborhood and close to a lot of restaurant and the beach.

Great House for a Weekend Away

We had a really nice time at your house. It was very clean and bright. Fit 5 adults well. Lots of kitchen utensils and bake/cookware, which was very helpful! Only issues: - Smoke detectors went off EVERY time we used either the stove or oven, and we didn't burn anything. - House says it accommodates up to 6 people, but there are only 4 tables at the kitchen table.

Sibling Weekend

The house worked great as our meeting point in New Buffalo with 3 of the 4 siblings coming from New York, Texas and Minnesota. Easy to park at the house and get over to the marina. Great time enjoyed on the deck and perfect weather for us! House was very comfortable and very clean! Appreciated the owner's flexibilty to let us check out late!

GIRLS WEEKEND GET AWAY IN JUNE

We rented this house for a weekend get away in June. This was our thirtieth trip and must say we enjoyed this place immensely. The house was so charming and meticulously clean. We especially enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the morning drinking coffee. Would certainly consider returning.

Memorial weekend getaway

Lovely!

I stayed at the cottage with my family for 3 nights and I cannot get over what a cute house it is. The house is very charming, very clean and has everything that you could possibly need. The kitchen is also equipped with so well that it even had a coffee grinder! SO we didn't need to bring anything. The house is in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood, with a big yard so you couldn't even see the neighbors. It is also very close to the beach and the city so walking was no problem. Chris and Jolie are wonderful and easy to reach. They took care of a little problem that arose (my fault) with the security deposit and apologized for it. I will surely want to come back!

Cute cabin!

My mom and sisters spent our vacation in Harbor Country and this was the perfect cabin for all of us! It was so nice to be able to cook some meals at "home" and relax on the deck in the mornings.

We both grew up in Chicago and spent summers and weekends in Harbor Country and on Lake Michigan. Eventually, our families moved there! As adults, life brought us to the East Coast for work but some of our annual highlights include our vacations and short getaways at our Eventide House in New Buffalo.

Having grown up with memories of coming to the area, this property has served as a second home to us for years. Now we are excited to share it with you! You'll find pretty much everything you need here: a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable furniture, light & bright beach-y decor, and the convenience of being close to downtown and the beach without the traffic and noise. Want to hit the city? Easy--walk into town and jump on the Amtrak! Looking for a quiet refuge from your hustle-bustle lifestyle? Us too. Reserve your dates and pack your bags! We have books and games* to enjoy and two decks that will serve you well for morning coffee, cocktail hour, or just some quiet solitude.

*Library and games not currently available due to Covid-19 and responsible sanitization measures.

What makes this property unique

We cherish the memories of nights with friends on the spacious back deck and walking to our favorite restaurants or to the beach to watch the sun go down. This home is quiet as it is located on a large lot in town, yet it is a short walk to the shopping/dining district and the beach. We are the third generation (fourth if you include our daughter!) in our family to call Harbor Country our home-away-from-home, and we continue to find ways to make it accessible to others, like having items for babies and small children available for your use. With a well-appointed kitchen, and a washer and dryer, there is little you will need to bring with you other than personal affects.
