Perfect cottage for a couple on the banks of the picturesque Bayou Teche. Located in the heart of Cajun Country you are just a few miles from the world famous Tabasco factory at Avery Island, many festivals and the quaint downtown of New Iberia. This cottage is renovated sugar cane farm housing built in the early 1900's. This very comfortable cottage has a full/double bed and a pull out couch in the living room. Efficiency kitchen includes a mini fridge, microwave, sink and breakfast bar. For your evenings of relaxation the cottage offers a large shared screen in porch overlooking the peaceful waters of the Bayou Teche.

Tranquil Bayou Vibes

Sipping coffee early in the morning while sitting on the screened porch watching the bayou wake up is an indescribable wonder. This was our second trip and we will definitely be back when we need some peace and tranquillity.

Bayou Perfection

We were in the area for a family reunion and wished to stay on the bayou where my guy’s 97 year old mother grew up. How fortunate that we found the perfect place to experience the bayou Dot te’ still loves today. It was a wonderfully relaxing time and the host was extremely accommodating. We will surely stay again the next time we visit the area.

Great getaway place

Great property, easy check-in, exactly as described. Wife and I got away to see Avery Island and wanted a neat little place to stay and we found it in this VRBO. We're already talking to other family members about returning and renting both units - the patio is shared by both units and to our delight the other group was so nice and hospitable that we enjoyed their company immensely. All in all, a great place and we wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

Peaceful Retreat

This place was everything we were looking for. We wanted a quite place on to use as a resting place as we went to various activities around the area. When we were there, it was very peaceful to sit on the patio and relax. The place was clean and quite and just a cozy retreat.

Charming views

We loved the peaceful setting and the view of the bayou from the back porch. It was very quiet and restful. Hated the Keurig as it makes awful coffee.

We were thoroughly delighted with our stay here. The cabin, porch and view of Bayou Teche, location , and particularly the hosts was perfect. The hosts were extremely responsive and personally friendly. We highly recommend this unit and New Iberia.

Relaxing Weekend

My wife and I couldn't have choose a better spot to stay for a relaxing weekend. It was far enough from the city to enjoy the relaxing sounds of the bayou yet close enough to experience all New Iberia has to offer. Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway!

Great cabin!

Hosts replied immediately to our request for reservations at the last minute. ( for the following night) Cabin was clean and well furnished. On bayou. Porch out back and sitting area in backyard. Hosts communicated well. Do not use GPS to get there or you will get lost. Hosts have explicit instructions that are easy to follow.

Fabulous!!

We were in town for a wedding in New Iberia and decided not to stay in a hotel as we weren’t really impressed with the options. We found this cottage listing and the pictures of the inside were cute and cozy. The outside pictures of the property were beautiful. My husband did a little bit of fishing in the bayou while I lounged in the chaise on the deck and read my book. So peaceful and relaxing. This is the first time we’ve stayed in a VRBO. We were not disappointed! The cottage was nice, clean and comfortable. Our weekend trip was much more enjoyable because we opted to stay here instead of a hotel. If we’re ever back in this area for another weekend trip, we will certainly stay here!!
