We are located less than 15 minutes from The T subway station, and a short stroll to many restaurants, breweries & wine bars, pubs, and the popular North Shore stadiums & entertainment district. The full kitchen includes dishes, glassware, silverware, pots & pans, a coffee maker, an electric kettle, a French press, basic cooking utensils, a microwave, coffee, tea, sugar, and sugar substitute. Wine and beverage glasses are included, please bring your own beverages :) Brand New High-Efficiency Washer & Dryer in Unit.

Guest access
This is a secure building with a "keyed" entry into the main entrance. Located up the stairs on the second floor, the condo has a keyless entry touchpad on the front door. A back door provides access to a fire escape and a common area fenced-in courtyard below. For security, this door should remain locked when not in use or going out.

Guest interaction
We like to meet our guests if they prefer to put a face to the place when they check in; however, we do offer self check-in access for late arriving guests or guests who prefer to check themselves in. Should you require any information on our great city, there's no better person to ask than Matthew, as he is a true “Yinzer”, and a wealth of information. If you have questions about local hotspots, things to do, or want recommendations on great local restaurants, we're happy to help, just ask! We live a few doors away if you need us. Neighborhood overview
Among the city’s oldest, the North Side neighborhoods were laid out in 1788, and many of the buildings date from the mid-19th century and include some truly beautiful examples of Victorian architecture on tree-lined streets. The ambiance and neighborliness of the Mexican War Streets attract many people. The great green expanse of West Park, Lake Elizabeth, and walking trails, serve as a beautiful “front yard” for North Side residents and visitors. The area nestles among Pittsburgh cultural institutions like the Mattress Factory Museum, Randyland, Manchester Craftsman’s Guild, National Aviary, Andy Warhol Museum, Children’s Museum, and of course, all the attractions on the North Shore (Heinz Field, PNC Park, Carnegie Science Center, Rivers Casino, and a multitude of restaurants and bars). All within walking distance! For The Essentials: Mayfly Market is a small grocery store and deli only a couple blocks away. A short walk. Rite Aid Pharmacy and a Dollar Tree are in the neighborhood, a little further away, but walkable. Giant Eagle (a larger chain grocery store and pharmacy) is a short car ride away. For Beer & Wine: A Wines and Spirits store is a 5-minute drive. There are 2 beer stores in the area. Getting around
Park your car on North Ave (no meters to feed or permit needed on the PARK SIDE) and leave it there, because the vast majority of the attractions and amenities listed above are walkable (5-15 minutes). If you like to bike, Pittsburgh is becoming more bike-able with designated bike lanes being added all the time. A HealthyRide public bike-sharing station is a 5-minute walk away. Available 24/7, riders can rent a bike for return on the North Side or at any of the 50+ locations around town. Super convenient and a fun way to see the City on your schedule. For further jaunts, both Uber and Lyft operate in Pittsburgh. Downtown restaurants, theaters, the famous Strip District, Station Square, and scenic Mt Washington Overlook are a 5 to 10-minute drive and less than a $10 fare away. Ross Park Mall is 15 minutes by car and Robinson Town Center is 20 minutes by car.

Other things to note
We've done our very best to make this space welcoming and comfortable for our guests. We ask that you make yourself at home and PLEASE be respectful of the space and the things in it. Shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, blow dryer, iron, ironing board, wood hangers, and trash bags are provided. The condo is close to everything yet in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. To get to Downtown Pittsburgh attractions, you can hop on the T which is about a 15-minute walk away and your ride is free! The famous Strip District and Convention Center are both within 10 minutes. Pittsburgh's hip and trendy Lawrenceville and Shadyside restaurants are also within 10-15 minutes by car. Uber & Lyft services are a 5-minute ride over the bridge, into downtown’s Central Business and Cultural Districts. The average cost is less than $10 The Pittsburgh Zoo is an easy 20-minute drive. Pittsburgh International Airport is a short 25-30 minute drive (Lyft & Uber prices range from $28 to $42) Everything is within reach! Please don't be shy to ask us how to get around and about cool things to do. It is our pleasure to make your stay fun and exciting.

HOUSE RULES

Cleanliness: While our cleaners do perform a thorough professional clean between each guest stay, we kindly ask that before leaving, you tidy up. Place dirty dishes in the dishwasher. It would also be greatly appreciated if you could put any dirty towels or linens in the washing machine and start the cycle. Laundry soap is located next to the machine. This helps us get through our Laundry process quicker and allows us to keep cleaning costs down for you and future guests.

Damage: We understand that accidents happen. But we do ask that you please let us know when they do. Chances are we can fix them as effortlessly as possible which also means better chances of having your full security deposit returned too.

Shoes: To ensure we keep the floorboards squeaky clean for our guests’ enjoyment, we have a NO shoes policy inside our home. Please leave your shoes in the tray at the front door.

Bedrooms: We’re hoping you love the thought and attention to detail that we put into the bedroom linens & furniture. We definitely want it to stay this way for all future guests to enjoy. For this reason, we respectfully ask you not to eat or drink in the bedrooms please.

Noise: Out of respect for our neighbors above and below we ask you to keep excessive noise to a minimum between 11 PM & 7 AM

No Parties or Events: If you’re coming to Pittsburgh to party you’ve picked a great city to do so. Unfortunately, just not at our place. Though we’re sure it won’t come to it, serious complaints of unruly noise or behavior will unfortunately result in you being asked to leave. Not good for you. Not good for us.

Smoking: Being a family home, we also have a strict no-smoking policy. This includes VAPING, Cigars, Cigarettes, or anything else that burns (although you are welcome to smoke either out front or back).

Drugs: What you do in your personal time is entirely up to you, but when staying at our place we have a strict NO DRUG use policy. This is just the law… not so much one of our rules.

Additional Guests: We understand that for a whole variety of reasons, you may want additional guests to stay in the place. If you want additional guests to stay, please contact us to let us know. We’re reasonable folks and will accommodate wherever possible.
