About this property

This house sits in a very calm cove on the 87 mile marker on the Ozarks side perfect for tubbing little ones, riding wet bikes or just swimming or maybe a little fishing from our private covered dock. Your welcome to bring your boat, the boat launch is in Twin Beach just mins. From Grandmas Getaway.
Our favorite things to do are....Enjoy our morning coffee sitting on the patio just looking out at the lake. grabbing a fishing pole catching a few fish, going
for a little swim or maybe a boat ride. We also enjoy taking the paddle boat for a trip around the cove.
Grandmas Getaway is approx. 8-10 mins from Walmart and many restaurants.

We have a place for trailers on the hill before you go down driveway to Grandmas Getaway. there will be other
trailers there as well. There is no good place to turn around if you pull your trailer to the house.

Fabulous weekend away

We had a great stay at Grandma's. The house is quaint, quiet, and exactly what we needed. It seems they might have done some upgrades as everything looked nice and new. Very lovely. The hosts were great and we would definitely stay again!

Fall break

Super Communication and Absolutely Spotless

This was one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed at (seriously, I feel like I need to clean my house when I get home haha). Excellent communication from the owner. Located on a small cove off the river with a nice private boat slip. Trailer parking was a bit tricky but totally doable with a 16’ fishing boat. Lots of great hiking in the area and super close to lake Truman. Another plus is that the town of Warsaw is charming and has everything you need.

Clean quite

Was a very nice house very clean great location, peaceful we are seniors, but we enjoyed the sunroom and just relax staring at the lake. Definitely recommend it was awesome.

Lovely cabin

This property is wonderful. Clean, comfy, everything you need to cook meals, and a very comfortable bed. The Host is very nice and contacted us a couple of hours after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. Walmart a short distance away. The ceiling are a little low, so if you are very tall it may be a problem.

Shootout stay

I have been coming to loto area for many years. Have stayed in my place there and around. By far one of the best places. The paddle boat was amazing at sunset. Really close to warsaw. About an hour twenty from the lake ozark. They even had the lovely neighbors turn the lights on for us because we where really late getting there.

Wonderful Lake House!

It was a beautiful, cozy and super clean house. Everything you could think of was provided. We brought our own water toys, but they had a variety on the property. Loved having a private dock and a nice deck/patio with a grill and fire pit. 10/10.

Fun Weekend Getaway

This was a great place to spend the weekend. We fished and swam off the dock, then took the paddle boat for a cruise around the cove. We hiked at Harry S. Truman State Park, had good Mexican food at El Camino Real, and made s’mores with the fire pit. We were also close enough to rent a boat on Truman Lake. Grandma’s getaway was clean, comfortable, and cozy! Would definitely go back. Felt like our own private little house and dock, which is pretty impressive during the crowded summer season.

Lovely weekend on the water!

We had a great time at Grandma’s Getaway! Lovely, clean property on the water. Beautiful views and quiet location. Loved that we could bring our dog and she could enjoy the time outside with us. We rented a boat and it was awesome we could pull it up to the house and then take it out to go fishing and swimming! Kayaks were great for exploring the inlet.

Relax by the water

We had some wonderful family days by the water with lots of swimming and some kayaking in this quiet cove. That and the shaded terrace were perfect in the heat. And the house offered everything we needed, TV for the Olympics and well equpped kitchen for cooking.

Family trip of 4

We traveled from Oklahoma to stay here. The description of the location is very misleading. We assumed we were on the lake. This is on the Osage river in a very shallow cove off the big part of the river. There is NO access to the lakes from the house. We were disappointed but it’s our fault for not looking at the map better. We brought our boat and the “trailer parking” at the top before you go down is nothing short of an uphill nightmare on the side of the gravel road. Parking a very large truck and boat and trailer there was next to impossible. The boat ramp to put the boat in was practically vertical as well. The deepest part of this cove is about 7ft which is scary for a boat prop. The dock was nice. We caught lots of fish off the dock. Swimming around the dock was a bit murky. Lots of leaves and sticks. The house has very very low ceilings if you are someone over 6 foot tall you will struggle in this house especially with the ceiling fans. The beds were very comfortable. There is no big light in the master bedroom just lamps. The bathroom Is very small and tight. There were plenty of towels thank goodness because there was no washer and dryer. The Host was very quick to respond to messages. Overall it was an okay to stay but we probably won’t be back.

Perfect place to escape the city and enjoy a fun and relaxing vacation on the water.

My main goal for my stay was to get away from the city and have a relaxing fishing vacation with my kids. I chose Grandma's Getaway for the private dock and was hoping the cabin would be suitable. My expectations were exceeded! The cabin was very clean - fresh linens, clean surfaces, smelled nice. The kitchen is surprisingly well stocked with utensils and cookware, and it was so nice having the grill. The dock is awesome to fish off of - we caught bass and crappie right off the dock. We also used the paddle boat daily to get out to deeper water to fish. My kids really enjoyed going out on the water on the kayaks as well. The view of the lake is beautiful. I wish it had been fall so that I could have enjoyed my morning coffee with a cool breeze as I looked out over the water. I honestly cannot say enough great things about the cabin, we had a blast! My only suggestion to future visitors would be to make sure you do not drive a car down that is low to the ground. If you have never been to a lakefront property, driveways are typically a bit steep and rough, and this one is no different, but my Toyota Camry handled it just fine. As far as the town goes, the cabin seems to be off the beaten path but is actually quite close to food, walmart, and other Warsaw attractions like Truman Dam and Visitor Center (I recommend going to the visitor center for a history lesson). Cosmic Coffee on the Main street also has great coffee and breakfast with fast, friendly service.

Fishing trip

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property. In fact, after making a trip to the grocery store, we didn't leave again except for one day trip to Ha Ha Tonka State Park. My husband commented that it was "just like home," with everything you needed right at hand. Getting the boat in on the steep and curvy roads was a bit of a chore, but once it was in the water, it was super convenient to be able to keep it in the dock so we could hop in and fish whenever we wanted.

Why they chose this property

Its in a nice location by water. The road leading to the house is a little rough, its like finding a piece of paradise.
This sweet little house sits in a cove off of the Osage arm. with a private covered one bay dock. About 8-10 mins from Wal-Mart, Gas and Restaurants.

What makes this property unique
