About this property

The Sled Stop located right on snow/atv trail in Bruce Crossing. Parking lot out front. We have newly remodeled and carpeted interior with 3 bedrooms(4 total beds) futon and extra full size fold down bed 6 separate beds for people easily sleeps 8 people. 1 bathroom with stand up shower, very large great room with bar and big sectional couch, large tv with Netflix and high speed wifi. Plenty of space for gear and people. Bowling alley with bar and grill right next door, Cafe behind building, gas station(sells trail passes), grocery store, hardware/auto parts store, laundromat all less than a block away. Everything you need in 2 blocks!

Pizza oven, microwave, crock pot, toaster, coffee pot in “kitchen”. There is no stove or oven.

Snowmobile trip throughout UP

This property is an awsome place for a home base on a snowmobiling trip. Has gas, resturaunts and bars within walking distance. Worked very well for 8 individuals. Hosts were very accommodating Would definetly stay here againagain.

Sled Stop

House was nice and everything worked well. Only downfall is there isn’t much to cook with if you are staying multiple days. Lots of food options close by though.

electrical lighting needs to be updated,needs more places to hang snowmobile gear so it can dry out. Beds need to be updated also other than that awesome place

Great pit stop

We traveled by motorcycle touring the UP, and needed a stop for laundry lol. There is a laundromat half a block away, right next door to a bar and restaurant. Convenient location, it's just up the road from Bond falls, and only an hour from Houghton. Marked 4 stars for cleanliness as there is a definite musty odor. Everything seemed clean and neat otherwise!

Close to Snowmobile Trails, gas, and restaurants/bars.

This location is great for snowmobiling as it is basically on the trail. Gas station located across the street for easy fill ups and restaurant and bar are literally right next door. Area has large parking for trailers across the street which was great! Place was clean and welcoming. Thanks for the stay!

Great stop for the guys

Good hosts to work with and communication was quick! Sleeping arrangements for seven adult men was very tight, though. Also, I thought parking would be simple since the bowling alley was closed due to COVID. Joe & Nick are good neighbors to the alley, but I could not say the same for the alley to Joe & Nick based on our stay. Great location for access to the sled/utv trails! Close to food, fuel, & groceries, too! Booked this place in a pinch, but would book again.

Perfect home base location

The communication leading up to and during our stay was fantastic, the property was clean and comfy. It was the perfect home base location for venturing out to several different areas of the UP. The gas station was convenient and we enjoyed waking up to Char’s coffee each morning.

Weekend getaway

This place was very comfortable and quiet. Very friendly local. We hit the neighboring bars and was only welcomed happily. Had amazing conversations with the locals. The lodge itself was very clean and we could enjoy relaxing our long weekend. Worth the trip we took to this place. Thank you!!!

We had a great experience, the only minor issue was the first night there were some rowdy folks at the bar next door. Luckily they left before anything escalated. All and all we had a great stay.

The Sled Shed was in a great location. The communication with the owners was excellent. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, mugs and the main kitchen necessities. The only drawbacks were the missing handle and screen on the bathroom faucet which caused the water to spray everywhere and the slight musty, mildew smell by the fridge and near the middle bedroom. Overall, I would stay here again. Thank you Joe and Nick.
